  • Try to install El Capitan, the kernel panic

    Hello!

I tried two different methods for the installation of El Capitan with the same result.

    1. passage of Mountain Lion.

    2. fresh install on a new SSD with a bootable SD card.

I don't know how to copy the text for the kernel panic, so I took a picture of what it looks like. They are slightly different.
The only problem experienced with the computer (MBP9.2, 13 ", 2.9 GHz I7) is the:

"To avoid damaging your computer, device drawing too much power has been disabled. Other devices have can also be disabled. When you unplug the device too much drawing power, your other USB devices will be activated again. »

That appears from time to time. AHT says "no problems found". SMC and NVRAM has been reset.

Have managed to restore the computer to Lion of mountain for the moment, I prefer to upgrade.

If any USB devices are connected, please disconnect them and try again.

Use disk utility to enable logging or reformat the disc. Can anyone help? (My disk utility shows that she in MAC OS extended (journaled) format.)

It shows that it is Mac OS extended, not journaled. Click enable logging in the toolbar.

The thing you read is if you format the drive using the RAID settings you have selected. You have to look at the bottom of the window where it shows the Format.

I tried to download several times and in different places. That is wrong. Does´NT CS5 run on El Capitan? Or what else? Thank you.

CS6 and previous programs have not been tested and will not be updated to run on Mac El Capitan

  • At the time of install el capitan?

How long does to install El Capitan on a MacBook Pro 2011 with 8G, from Yosemite? The notice said there 20 hours to go and then he spends 1 day and a half, etc. What is a normal view? It has already been downloaded for 1 1/2 hours and seems to be getting nowhere on the progress bar. And is it okay to do other things on the computer during the installation, or better left alone?

Try to cancel and restart the download.  Should resume where it left off.  A reboot is also of course.  If it gets stuck on waiting, make sure that you are connected to the App Store (maybe try disconnecting and back) then click menu Store and look for unfinished downloads.  You can also open the activity monitor and kill the process storeagent or storedownloadd which can be hung.  Try the Option by clicking on the buttons there are options to cancel, etc. so that you can restart the download.

  • I can't install El Capitan, even if my computer has the requirements of law

    Hi guys,.

We recently bought a second hand apple machine itself. All good, but I have problems during the software update latest El Capitan, I need to install external software.

I see that all of the requirements, but I feel like I'm right on something really obvious.

    My laptop:

    MacBook Air (mid-2012)

    4 GB memory

    Software OS X 10.8.5

    12.7 GB of free storage

    Requirements on the Web site:

MacBook Air (late 2008 or newer)

    min. 2 GB memory

    OS X 10.6.8 (or newer)

free storage of 8.8 GM min.

Coming to app store/download page via the "software update" button under the symbol apple in the header.

It downloads and then I get the message "El Capitan is currently not supported. THX."when I try to install.

    Thank you in advance!

What, exactly, have you downloaded? Is this a app install OS X El Capitan 6.2 GB which is located in your Applications folder? Is it still there? Try the following:

    HD recovery start

Restart the computer and after the chime hold the Command and R keys until the Menu Utility is displayed.

    Repair

When the Utility Menu appears, select disk utility and click on the continue button. Disk utility charges and select layouts withdrawal (usually Macintosh HD) the list entry side.  Click the first aid tab, and then click the repair disk button. If disk utility reports any errors that have been corrected, then again run repair disc until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported, click repair permissions . Wait for the process to finish, and then quit disk utility and re-enter the Utility Menu. Select restart from the Apple menu.

    Now, try Setup again.

  • IMac, re - install El Capitan-wants to load on external drive

Late 2009 Imac. 16 RAM, HD 1 T.  El Capitan.

Use slow this AM-reboot.  This opens to the Apple screen and the cursor moves right - about 3/4 and slows down.  It stops at 90%.  After 30 minutes, it move at the end and then the Imac white switch.  ??

Did the same thing in safe mode.

Try the Options mode now.  Thought I'd reinstall El Captan.  I have attached external USB which is bootable.  Options want to install El Captan to emphasise the main HD.

Went BACK - and currently running disk utility... but he is stuck on the LOADING of DISK with the spinning wheel.  Been there a while.

I made a Clone carbon copy about 4 days ago and have also two BU of Time Machine.

I would like to charge El-Capitan-CLEAN.

    Suggestions?

Your message is not clear. You try to install the internal hard disk, or you try to install on an external hard drive?

  • Impossible to install El Capitan on new SSD

Trying to install El Capitan on using the method of USB drive on my mid 2012 13 "macbook pro (9.2) and I can't seem to make it work at all. Using a SSD 240 GB PNY CS1311. When it starts to install El Capitan I get about a minute before it stops and says "OS X can not be installed on your computer. Could not complete copy. I tried several times without a bit of luck, and from the start of my laptop for the first time with the SSD, I erased, then formatted with OS X Extended (journaled) and GUID, score card, so I know that it is properly formatted.

I managed to install OSX on my old HARD drive using the same USB so I don't really know if that is the question.

All the tips are greatly appreciated.

I try to get Internet (OPTION-COMMAND-R) and try to install the original OSX your MBP came with.  This at least will give you a functional MBP.  Retry installation El Capitan.

You will need a strong Internet connection.

    Ciao.

  • Cannot install El Capitan, or restore Lion

I thought I would do a clean install of El Capitan today. So I started the drive in recovery mode, deleted, created an encrypted partition journaled + and begun the process to install OSX. It starts to download the installer from El Capitan, but after a while (always in the same place) hangs and does nothing. The Setup log says:

    http://postimg.org/image/jp3khc9jr/full/

OK, lets try to install the original through command + Option + R, the installation of the internet called. It ends, restart, then after a bit of a DO NOT ENTER of loading sign shows that something was wrong. Any ideas what could be the problem?

    It's a Macbook Air mid 2012.

Perhaps a network problem. If please connect to another network and try again. One option is to go to the Apple Store and use their network.

    Try this:

Repair the hard drive and permissions - El Capitan

    HD recovery start:

Restart the computer and after the buzzer, press on and hold down the COMMAND and R until the menu screen appears.

    Repair

When the recovery menu appears, select disk utility and press the continue button. Disk utility charges and select Macintosh HD entry indented from the list on the left.  Click the first aid tab in the toolbar... If disk utility reports any errors that have been corrected, then re-run first aid until no errors are reported. Wait until the operation is complete, then quit disk utility and return to the main menu. Select restart from the Apple menu.

Download OS X El Capitan 10.11.3 Combo Update and reinstall.

  • stuck in a loop... try to install Photoshop CS6 independent Mac

I disabled my Photoshop autonomous 6 on my Mac before upgrading to the new MacOS Sierra in case I had problems and will have to start from scratch.

First of all, I went to the Adobe site and verified that it was what I need to do and he says...

    Disable an application

    What is disabling?

Disabling disconnects a request for a valid user license. Once disabled, you can reactivate at any time, if you choose.

«Unfortunately, it wasn't the correct information (Adobe should fix that!).»

So, I tried Adobe online help (nothing there), then cat Adobe where I was told initially that I need to uninstall Photoshop CS6 completely and then I could install with my serial number. I did as I was told, but now when I try to install from my Photoshop CS6 Installer, I get a circular message...

    Screen Shot 2016-10-01 at 9.36.12 PM.png

By clicking on the link 'Get Adobe Support Advisor' tells me that this software no longer exists?

I have Photoshop CS6 stand-alone for my Mac. It appears on my Adobe account page with the serial number. I just can not install or use it?

The more things, I am told to do so by Adobe, the worse things become?

I wrote another forum post last week, but after 60 + views and no replies, he disappeared?

I have Adobe has sent and received a notice that I have called in a few days (it's been 7 days no appeal)?

And when I try to ask for support, I am told by the site that the telephone support does not exist for this product.

Does anyone have any idea what I need to do?

At this point I already paid Adobe more than $1,600 for Photoshop (with my updates since the PS3 5),

I will NOT be joining Creative cloud! Been there, done that a year before. Which cost me another $360 for absolutely nothing! Live and learn?

To disable... Don't forget to request ONLY activation support set your number of activations

Serial number and activation support (no-Cloud) https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2041990

That said... CS6 is about 4 years old and many people report that it is NOT compatible with the all new Sierra of Mac (or Mac El Capitan)
