Try to set up a home network on XP but the router has no USB to connect to.

The printer is connected to the desktop computer and file/printer sharing enabled. I can't connect to a home network.
Home both my desktop and my laptop are Windows 7 and both are connected to the home network and I can share my printer. I can't seem to find the right/instructions buttons to connect his and do his work. Any suggestions?
I tried to run the tutorial "set up a home network" and solve problems, but since they are different versions that the buttons are not in the same place and are marked differently.
Hello
This"the desktop computer is connected to the internet and a wireless modem" , is not clear.
To have a coherent network, the Modem is connected to the network, the router must be connected next Modem WAN, and the wire from the computer or the wireless must be connected to the router.

* Note . All the users who are allowed to share need to have an account onall computers that they are allowed to connect to.
Everyone is an account, that means a group of all users who already have an account now as users. It is available to avoid the need to configure permission for each on its own, it does not mean all those who feel that they would like to connect.

As noted above, implementation of ipad, but it requires a verification email to be sent. He sent to my e-mail about 1 million times, but it is not.
Spent by the installation of mail on the ipad, but when I try to send, it says 'cannot connect using SSL '.
Then returns with this "account is perhaps not able to send or receive emails"
What is the point of this?
All this is in order to simply get a verification email, if I can use so I can use iTues to buy apps.
Without the verification; I can't do anything at all with the ipad.OK, I'll try, but I doubt that you will like my answer no better.

Unable to set up a home network with XP
Hello
Tried to set up a home network, I'm having no success.
My dektop running XP Home Edition and connects on a Belkin N wireless router, which in turn connects to a cable modem for internet access.
I managed to put in place 3 laptops (1 on XP, 1 on Vista and 1 in windows7) to access the wireless internet via the router.
I had expected given the Office a central store for music and images and allowing laptops to access the information about it, but no matter how I try, I can't the Office to see laptop computers or laptops to see the desktop. The router DHCP information lists all the PC when connected.
I am at a total loss, could someone please?

Transfer of large files on home network freezes and stop the transfer
I have a HP Desktop running Windows 7 and laptop HP on Vista 64-bit. I have two networked computers on a home network with a 3Com network 10/100 16-port switch. When I try to transfer files greater than approximately 2.5 gigabytes between two PCs, file transfer will hang and stop after about 2.5 gigabits. Below the size of this file, generally no problem, the transfer ends. The two PCs have file sharing turned on and as mentioned on any file less than 2.5 gigabits transfer / very well. Is there some sort of transfer of files, size limit on Windows Vista and 7 OS? Are there settings that I can change to allow to transfer large files? I got an old Sony PC running Windows XP and I could transfer files more than 2.5 gibabits to my storage device shared networked home without any problem. But under Vista and 7 OS, even once, I can't transfer any file more 2.5 gigabits to my home network shared storage device. Anyone has any ideas how to solve this problem? Thank you. NEOhio123
I fixed this problem on my laptop running Windows Vista 64 bit. I remembered that first of all, this started occurring after that I used the IOLO System Mechanic 9 network optimization tool to optimize the settings of my network on my laptop. So I ran the cancellation on my Windows Vista laptop, and now the laptop with Vista will once more to transfer large files. If a note to all of you who use System Mechanic... do not function of optimization of the network on a Vista PC tool run... .or if you wash and start experiencing problems of transfer of large files... run the cancel this function and rebooting. You should be able to transfer large files again. I just sent IOLO an email to warn of this problem with the optimization tool of the network within their product of System Mechanic 9.
UNFORTUNATELY, my new desktop computer running that Windows 7 has still this problem , it stops file transfers after about 2.5 gigabits are sent to my device of storage attached to the network or the laptop. I learned that this seems to be a problem in a way. I can pull large files of my storage device, network or laptop, I can not just to transfer large files to these devices with the Windows 7 desktop. So if anyone has any ideas of how to resolve this problem of transferring large files with Windows 7, I would appreciate your insight.

I get an unknown error message when you try to copy a cassette of my video camera, but the camera connect
If you are running Windows XP... There is a slight chance
that by running the following command would be the fix:Reach... Start / run... and type or copy / paste the following text:
regsvr32 %windir%\system32\qdv.dll
Then... Press on... Come in...
You should see a dialog box stating:

Hello
You plug the computer via the network to a router or a switch card, and configuring their file sharing.
---------------------
Win7 when configured on the peer-to-peer network has three types of configurations of sharing.
Group residential network = only works between Win 7 computers. This type of configuration, it is very easy to entry level users to start sharing network.
Working network = fundamentally similar to previous methods of sharing that allow you to control what, how and to whom the records would be shared with.
Public share = network Public (as Internet Café) in order to reduce security risks. For the best newspaper of the results of each computer screen system and together all computers on a network of the same name, while each computer has its own unique name.

I need help setting up a home network
I have a 7 m DSL connection. Using a modem without phone/ethernet gateway serving a computer office wired ethernet and a wireless laptop, I would like to know if I should put in place a network home ethernet and add a wireless device or I set up a wireless network and add a wired ethernet device. Two computers use Vista Home Premium 64 - bit OS. I have 1 printer and a XBox (wired) and a (wired) DirectTV receiver attached, too.
What is the brand and model of your wireless/ethernet modem access point? It should be able to provide any wireless networks and wired Ethernet network.
Wired Ethernet ports how do I need? If she has enough for all computers and devices that you want to network, you're ready. If not, connect a wired Ethernet switch for more ports.

-Is this a "no Proxy" security affect setting on my home network?
I have established that the the unique proxy setting that makes my computer works best is the "no proxy setting. I read, however, that this setting could leave my computer open to hacking and other intrusions. I'm on a home network with no other users. My ISP is Comcast. I have not run any software protection protection other than what offers Windows and everything that gives a router. Is it safe set the proxy server offers 'no proxy '. Even if I have Internet high flow, I can't access most of the sites up to 30 seconds, and sometimes I just get wait times. When I changed the setting to 'no proxy', I was able to connect to the lightening quick sites. I always thought it was Comcast, but it seems that it is this particular parameter which is the culprit. However, if the "no proxy setting' endangers my safety, I'll change it to another setting.
No, it isn't a threat to the security of your computer.

The computers on the home network can't see the other
Hello
Portable Windows 7 Ultimate my two computers cannot see each other on the home network. Both have their firewall off the coast. We have McAfee installed (but disabled). I can't ping or computers. Both are on the same workgroup. Both are on the home network. Both have their network discovery is enabled. Both have active LLTD protocols.
A computer cannot find homegroup on the other computer. I tried both ways. All important services are successfully started and running. No problems with network connectivity to the internet. I can ping sites like google.com and yahoo.com. I can't just ping the other laptop on the network. Any ideas?
Thank you
SS
FYI: I have UltraVNC running on both computers. However, the program does not work b/c computers can't see each other. I also have LogMeIn installed on both. This works because logmein works via the internet.
Hope that you have found your answer now. I had the same problem and mine was the computers have been appointed the same you have he tried but if not try this:

Step 4) Change the 'computer name' (must be DIFFERENT! to other computers)
