trying to install flash and adobe reader, adobe download manager keeps crashing.  Windows XP pro SP3 install new.

I recently did a fresh install of Win XP Pro SP3 on a blank hard drive.  I use the latest Firefox.  I try to install Adobe Reader and Adobe Flash, but I get "Adobe Download Manager has encountered a problem and needs to close."  I tried cutting Winroot anti virus, but still the same problem.

If you follow the 7 steps you can download directly here: XI Pro/Standard of Adobe Acrobat and Reader: Direct Download Links | ProDesignTools and Adobe Flash Player Distribution. Adobe

  • Adobe Download Manager crashes; offline installers still in older versions

Impossible to install Flash from Adobe Download Manager crashes on my system, as shown here:

    https://forums.Adobe.com/thread/1816846?SR=Inbox & ru = 566489

Probably because of Adobe Download Manager not requiring now SSE2.

My solution is to use the Offline Installer. However, the page of the installer in offline mode:

    https://www.Adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html

... should I have not 17.0.0.188. It is always on 17.0.0.169.

Is there another place I can get installers for 17.0.0.188 offline, or do I have to wait until someone decides to update the page from the Offline Installer? On that note, how often usually take the Offline Installer page to get updated when a new version is available, so I can't keep asking?

    Hi N.Bauer,

17.0.0.188 was deployed just earlier today.  Based on the time of your post that you may have been trying to download the files at the time they have been updated.  Updates are usually less than one hour to put up-to-date, but sometimes, depending on the activity of the network, etc., that it can take more time to spread throughout the CAN.  The new files are displayed and download (if you get a trial version once again, or clear the browser cache).  The page content is updated at the same time that the installation files are updated, but right now we are having some issues with the content itself is not updated and strive to solve this problem.  Until the content is updated, the version number on the page will always be 16.0.0.169.

  • I'm having some trouble with the installation process. I want to install a trial version of AI, but my adobe application manager keeps inviting them to update but will not go beyond 10%. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but the problem persists. Help

I don't know what to do. I'm trying to download a trial version of A.I., but when downloading, my adobe application manager keeps trying to update but will not exceed 10%. I can't access anything on my manager. I tried to re download the program, but the same problem persists. What are my options?

If you just open the Application Manager, it successfully updated?

In Illustrator, you can download setup offline http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cc-2014-direct-download-links.html (CC 2014).

Make sure you follow the instructions very important on this page.

  • Adobe Download Manager just is there (install Flash 10)

    Hello

I'm trying to install Adobe Flash 10.

Everything seems OK until I have the step of Adobe Download Manager.

This appears on the screen and then sits there, but nothing happens.

The yellow bar of "Close Download Manager" works well, but nothing has been downloaded.

I use XP Pro, 32-bit, Microsoft Security Essentials with the "real-time Protection" turns off while I tried to install it.

If you are set up as an administrator user, then this article will show you how to solve the problem of the authorization to the registry: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/494/cpsid_49419.html

It's a bit technical, but not too difficult.  Two points on the item

    • step 3: the mentioned folder will be created automatically during the installation of SubInACL.
    • step 8: use the installation program that you downloaded earlier, rather than the link to the Download Manager.

  • CD player does not install (virgins Adobe Download Manager)

I tried several times to install the drive on this laptop Windows 7, without success. (edit: I finally got version 10 install correctly, but won't work or 11 or DC).

    I tried the things:

UAC is disabled, the disabled, tried to run the installer as administrator (its an Admin still counts). Cleaning of all older versions, used uninstall reader I found, used CCleaner to check for errors, run SFC, etc.. No difficulty to install Flash, Air, or Shockwave all went well, fair reader with questions. This machine is Win 7 Home Premium, 64-bit

I can see the process is running, but it's just sitting there with nothing happens after 1/2 hour.

If I try to install the DC version, it opens the window "Adobe Download Manager", which is just a blank window, nothing happens.

I tried to download it directly from the web page, the offline version (Adobe Acrobat Reader DC install for all versions ) of 11 and DC, and always the same problem - the installation IS running, but it does nothing.

    Any other suggestions?  Thank you!!

I just sent you a private message.

I've done this process over and over again. Tried to look to the top of Adobe Reader specifically for Windows Vista, but it came to an Adobe website which looked like illegitimate. I don't know, it does not only look like the other Adobe Reader download page. When I go out the the empty "Adobe Download Manager" window, Internet Explorer (which I don't use) gets up and shows this:

  • Adobe Download Manager has stopped working. This is the message I get

I still use google chrome with my Windows Vista PC. Usually plugin chrome automatically updates the latest version of adobe flash player. Sites, I will say that I have to update and head for the download of adobe. I deselect Mccaffee and then try to download. I have to Save it and then click on run, etc., but the installation stops with a message that "Adobe Download Manager has stopped working" and then another message "I want to report to Microsoft", etc..

    I have

tried several times to install but I can't. I called Microsoft and they offered the Adobe phone number. (I always use my webrootsecure but I disabled it once to see if it would help the download/install new update of adobe Flash Player, but that did not work either) I don't have all the cover or subscription from Microsoft at the moment, btw.

(I even know the category in which post this question)

If Chrome Support/updates being arrested was not involved in your original question of Flash Player, that's what I would have advised you to do.

Download and run the Flash Player uninstaller program.

    http://helpx.Adobe.com/Flash-Player/KB/uninstall-Flash-Player-Windows.html

Then download and install Flash Player; After unchecking installing Chrome and Google toolbar option:

    http://get.Adobe.com/flashplayer/?promoid=BUIGP

If the problem persists, you may want to ask in the Forums of community Flash Player:

    See you soon.
