Trying to leave original in Image process Pro

Are JJ, you there?

When processing images in Image Processor Pro (e.g. resizing), the software seems to be remove their location files originals and place a new resized version of the image in the folder I specify in the settings.  I want PPIS to leave intact original images and place the copy resized in a new directory, which I specify, but I can't understand the to do.  The check box for the "Keep the Original file" option is grayed out.  Currently, I'll have to make backups of all images before processing in case something goes wrong.

I feel I'm missing something but don't know what it is.  Any suggestions?

Thank you!

Default image processors scripts do not change the image source files or delete them.  Image Source files are opened then duplicated and the duplicate is changed and a new image file is saved using the save the options you together and the place that you set. If the output file is the processor would add a unique suffix for the name and save this single file.  Image processor only save new files it does not overwrite files. After registration, the document is closed. If more files need to be saved for the open source file it is duplicated again and the next new output image file is saved and closed.  When all output files are saved to an image the image source is narrow and the next source image is opened and processed when all sources of images have been processing the image processor closed the last source image and outputs.

If the source files are deleted something is wrong.  X wrote contact IPP / / written by [email protected].  I see some code for intangible assets that can delete files from source I think.  It can also be an Image of the files removed from the list processor log file.

If (! retainOriginal & file.absoluteURI! = outfile.absoluteURI) {}

LogFile.write ("Deleting the original file" + file.fsName);

try {file.remove () ;} catch (e) {}}

}

doc.activeHistoryState = historyState;

};

by default retainOriginal is true, however if you have an oid currupt saved settings it may be set to false.  My option is grayed out and is verified. Try using the reset button.

ImageProcessorOptions.getDefaultOptions = function() {}

var xml = not defined;

var f = ImageProcessorOptions.getDefaultOptionsFile ();

If {(f.exists)

XML = ImageProcessor.readSettingsFile (f);   <----- this="" read="" old="" settings="" so="" try="" te="" reset="">

} else {}

XML = ImageProcessorOptions.DEFAULT_XML.copy ();

XML. Input = XML (")");

XML. Input.@source = "folder";

XML. Output = XML ("");

XML.output.@Path = Folder.desktop + ' / ' + 'output folder ';

XML.output.@subfolder = true;

XML.output.@keepStructure = false;

True XML.output.@retainOriginal=;<---------- if="" no="" settings="" file="" default="" is="">

Also, if you include ongoing Actions to consider actions.  You can run a script that could possible to delete files.  A file deletion I think it should be a script.  Photoshop is not a file editor it may overwrite a file, but not to delete a file. You can manually delete the files to open and save file dialog boxes.  Photoshop has no functionality of file delete AFAIK.  Bridge can I think move and delet file I use much the bridge.

  • Hi, I am trying to save my edited images that are size 30 MB in JPEG format to send to print, but when I save they are lot to 5 MB any help is appreciated.

    Hello

    I have problems trying to save my edited images are sized at 30 MB + in jpeg format to the same size that is needed for my print lab. For some reason, it resizes them to below 5MB. Can anyone help? Thank you in advance.

    You're confused image with dimensions in pixels size.

    There is no problem as long as you has not changed the dimensions/resizing the image when you saved as jpg.

    Check the dimensions in pixels of the original and the jpg - they should be the same.

    To put it otherwise - size of the image in megabytes are not an indicator of the size of an image (the size it will print). Dimensions in pixels are.

I need suggestions on what else can be done, if any. Using Acrobat pro XI.

    By habit, I tend to combine PDF files in the Page pane by right-clicking thumbnails then 'Insert of Pages'-> 'From File'. For me, this preserves the tags of these two documents, although the tags may have to be moved to the correct location (if I remember correctly the tags for inserted pages are put at the end of the tag structure, regardless of where the pages are inserted), if I put the tags in the document to insert into a container as a Section tag It makes the process easier. Travel set of tags in the right place is the only re-fixing that I remember having to do. What behavior you encounter?

  • I can't get Dr. Browns Image Processor Pro to work with Photoshop CC 2014 bridge

    We use the DR Browns wonderful Pro Processor Image script much, but cannot make it work with PS CC 2014 bridge. When I select files in Bridge CC, then go to tools > Dr. Browns Services 2.3.1 > Image Processor Pro it appears an error message that says ReferenceError: photoshop is undefined.

    The real script works fine if I run it from Photoshop CC 2014 - just not so I load it from bridge CC.

    I uninstalled it and re installed a few times, both manually and through the CC of the extensions Manager.

    I use a 64-bit Windows 7 computer.

    I guess that there are a few changes in the part of the script that loads Photoshop of the bridge, but not course. It worked fine in CC. Simply not CC 2014.

    I open the Dr Browns Services .jsx file but don't see anything obvious. This is the section on the Image Processor Pro part:

    //-----------------------------------------------------------------
      // This routine takes an array of files. If called by Photoshop,
      // it will invoke Dr. Brown's Process 1-2-3 with the files. If called by
      // any other app, it will send a BridgeTalk message to Photoshop
      // to invoke this routine with the same arguments.
      //-----------------------------------------------------------------
    drbrownserv.process123 = function (files) {
    // Bring Photoshop to the foreground.
      BridgeTalk.bringToFront ("photoshop");

      // Create a new BridgeTalk message for Photoshop to invoke
      // Image Processor with the selected files
      var btMessage = new BridgeTalk;
    btMessage.target = "photoshop";
      btMessage.body = "drbrownserv.process123 (" + files.toSource () + ");";
      btMessage.send ();
      } else {
    photoshop.runActionCommand ('611736f0-9c46-11e0-aa82-0800200c9a66', files);
          }
      }
      catch (error) {
      if (error.number != 8007) // Don't report user cancelled errors.
      drbrownserv.alert (error);
      }
      }

    Nevermind - Dr. Browns Services works very well with CC 2014. I just had a lot of trouble with the upgrade... After uninstalling any version of PS and bridge, reboot and reinstall just CC 2014 everything works as it should. I had trouble with the upgrade by 2014 CC on both computers I use - but re-installing fixed everything and was easier to do that I thought it would be.

  • Image Processor Pro and image converter eps files without pixelation them loading

    Hello. My name is Lucas. IM of the Argentina, who now lives in the Brazil. I have the problem that is in the title. IM new to do such things but to read much, I discovered that both scripts open files eps and because what they do is reasterized, then files stored looks preety bad.

    I know that there are some parameters to open the eps, e.g.:

    var epsOpenOptions = new EPSOpenOptions();
       epsOpenOptions.antiAlias = true;
       epsOpenOptions.mode = OpenDocumentMode.RGB;
       epsOpenOptions.resolution = 72;
       epsOpenOptions.constrainProportions = true;

    I must say that the search for a solution has found a script and changed to partially answer my needs. I said partially because I need the script to review the files and save the output files with the same structure. Here's the script that manage a folder at the same time:

    #target photoshop
    // Asks user for input folder
    var inputFolder = Folder.selectDialog("Select a folder to process");
    // Asks user for output folder
    var OutputFolder = Folder.selectDialog("Select a folder to save your Tiffs");
    if ( inputFolder != null && OutputFolder  != null ) {

       // Makes list of all files located in that folder
       var fileList = inputFolder.getFiles( "*.eps" );

       // Create a EPS option object [height & width are doc size]
       var epsOpenOptions = new EPSOpenOptions();
       epsOpenOptions.antiAlias = true;
       epsOpenOptions.mode = OpenDocumentMode.RGB;
       epsOpenOptions.resolution = 72;
       epsOpenOptions.constrainProportions = true;

       // Open each file in turn
       for (var i = 0; i < fileList.length; i++) {

          // open the file
          app.open( fileList[i], epsOpenOptions );

          var baseName = activeDocument.name.slice( 0,-4 );

          // put your code to 'save as' the file here
          var saveFile = new File ( OutputFolder + "/" + baseName + ".jpg" );
       SaveForWeb(saveFile,60); // set quality to suit

     function SaveForWeb(saveFile,jpegQuality) {
      var sfwOptions = new ExportOptionsSaveForWeb();
      sfwOptions.format = SaveDocumentType.JPEG;
      sfwOptions.includeProfile = false;
      sfwOptions.interlaced = 0;
      sfwOptions.optimized = true;
      sfwOptions.quality = jpegQuality;

     activeDocument.exportDocument(saveFile, ExportType.SAVEFORWEB, sfwOptions);

       };
     activeDocument.close( SaveOptions.DONOTSAVECHANGES );

       };

       };

    So, if you know a way change image processor pro or photo I will be very happy.

    Because I use only the script to handle eps files and save them as jpg (except for the web) I don't have a special button to activate this option. Keep things simple. Thank you!!

    You can tweak ImageProcessorPro.jsx to do the following editing.

    Search for code that looks like this:

    ImageProcessor.prototype.openDocument = function(file) {
      var self = this;
      var settings = self.settings;
      var mode = DialogModes.NO;
      var ext = file.strf("%e").toLowerCase();
      var isRaw = ImageProcessor.CAMERA_RAW_FILES.contains(ext);

      if (isRaw) {
      }

    and insert this code right after it:

      if (ext == "eps") {
        var epsOpenOptions = new EPSOpenOptions();
        epsOpenOptions.antiAlias = true;
        epsOpenOptions.mode = OpenDocumentMode.RGB;
        epsOpenOptions.resolution = 72;
        epsOpenOptions.constrainProportions = true;
        try {
          var doc = app.open(file, epsOpenOptions);
        } catch (e) {
          Error.runtimeError(9002, ZStrings.UnableToOpenErr);
        }
        return doc;
      }

    I have not tested at all, but it looks good from here.

  • Help to improve the Image Processor Pro Script to save transparency in TIF

    Hello world

    This is my first post in this community.

    We have a droplet which reduces the resolution of tif images at 72 dpi and save the image tif with transparency. It works very well, but it took a long time for the whole process of many picture in different folders. This is the reason why we have sought another script that can preserve the folder structure and define the resolution of each image at 72 dpi tif.

    We found Image Processor Pro, which does exactly what we needed. The script works perfectly in CS5 and CS5.5 save the tif with transparency. The tif images could be used in InDesign with transparency.

    BUT Image Processor Pro script works not so perfectly in CS6 as it seems that this option to save a tif with transparency does not exist or does not work in the script. The result is that those converted tif images are without transparency in InDesign. It is a huge problem for us.

    This is the point where I need your help. Neither I have experience yet with jsx-files or the right syntax of it.

    Is it possible for someone of you to implement / improve Image Processor Pro so it will save tif with transparency?

    We used the last German Image Processor Pro Version: 2.3.1 (link: http://www.russellbrown.com/scripts.html)

    (The German version contains only German on the texts of the screen!)

    I am very grateful for any help you can give.

    Thanks in advance for your help.

    The only reason why I can invision would happen, is that they change the default behavior on what to do when the transparency option is not specified.

    The simplest solution, if you always want to have transparency with tif files is:

    Find this piece of code or towards line 3811:

         case "tif": {
            var value = (isWindows() ? ByteOrder.IBM : ByteOrder.MACOS);
            var str = fsOpts.tiffByteOrder.toString();

    Change to look like this:

         case "tif": {        saveOpts.transparency = true;        var value = (isWindows() ? ByteOrder.IBM : ByteOrder.MACOS);        var str = fsOpts.tiffByteOrder.toString();

    It will not work properly if there is transparency.

    BTW, where did you get a German version of this? I've written PPI but never germanisés he...

    I want the camera to stream to USB (buffer image0) with treatment in time real simple image (image1 buffer).

    After a treatment, I want to copy the image to another buffer image2.

    However, I have observed some interference between the pads.

    For example, I copied image1 image2 buffer. Whenever image2 buffer has been modified, image1 is also changed.

    I suspect my mistake in the refnum image processing but can't find it.

    Before posting my code shot, I want to check again with your comments because LV is not installed on this computer.

    Anyway, what is the rule in the definition/treatment image buffer?

    It is desirable to define the new back buffer image whenever I changed the image?

    I found a few examples of creating image inside the loop buffer without deleting the refnums.

    Is it safe to the memory of the control system?

    What image of buffers are you referring to the IMAQ Image?

    If so (or if not possible), these aren't the sons of Norway in labview, they are more like pointers than a thread that keeps the sata, so if you wiring buffer image 1 in the image of the stamp 2 make you actually point towards the same area of the image, copying data between buffers, there is a function of copy IMAQ This puts the data to the image specified by buffer 1 in the space of the image indicated by buffer 2.  (I say space image of table instead because IMAQ images are more complex than just a chunk of memory).

  • save an image in an image file and reloaded on another computer for the image processing

    Hello

    Can I save the image to an image file and then reload the file on another computer for the image processing? What type of image format should I save for it? Is there any loss of image if I do this? The machine with the camera sits in our lab, and I want to test the software on my own computer image processing. So can someone give some good ideas on this. Thank you

    I assume you have the module development VDM and vision acquisition software going TO on your computer.

    So just use playback IMAQ and IMAQ save functions. BMP, png are good for losless save unlike jpg and jpeg2000.

  • execution of inset in the image processing

    Hi all, I am using LabVIEW 2010 and the target computer is an Intel Atom N270 processor.

    I have a sub - VI dedicated to process the images acquired from a remote IP camera image. I want to deal with more than one camera in time. The question is: if I put my channel sub - VI like returning to image processing, image 'son' are protected? I know that these purple wires are only references to my images, and I fear that a second thread could change the reference at the beginning of the process chain while a previous image is processed at the end.

    I read in previous discussions on the change of each sub - VI IMAQ returning to achieve an improvement in the execution of the performance but the condition of incoming execution (in the vi containing the process chain) protects all references?

    Thanks in advance,

    Daniel

    Yes, Vision library is thread-safe. If you set your image processing environment VI (and all of its dependencies), you can process multiple images at a time, assuming you pass the different references to your treatment VI. Vision library lock a picture if it modifies the function you are calling.

    Hello

    I just installed the latest Vision after installing Labview 8.5, and it seems that I can open files previous .vi I did that use functions like "IMAQ label" and "IMAQ separation", and while I can access the section "Utilities of Vision" of the Vision, I can't find the button for the 'Image Processing screw. Hi Santiago,

    Is it custom screws you have created and added to your palette or programs that use the screw of the range of Vision and movement?  When you say that you have installed Vision, are you talking about software Acquisition of Vision or Vision Development Module?  Image processing screws are installed with the Vision Development Module.  Check out this KB to see if these are the screws that you always see.  I suspect that Vision Development module needs to be reinstalled.

    Hi all

    I went to install Russell Brown Image Processor Pro 2.3.1 on my Adobe Bridge / Photoshop CC. I have a Mac computer and that you have installed manually (by following the steps described in the provided Pdf) the Image Processor Pro by dropping plug-ins in their designated files.

    Now, once I did, the Image Processor Pro is displayed in the menu drop-down from the bridge, and when I press on it (once), the only thing it does is to start the Photoshop application without further intervention. There is not a pop-up of any kind.

    I have the latest version of Photoshop CC 2015.5.0.

    My question is, does anyone know a workaround for this problem?

    Thank you

    Update: for what it's worth, I managed to find a Dr. Browns Services facility, and who install it on the site of Adobe here: https://creative.adobe.com/addons/my_addons

    It has an option to install it, which is what I did, and that's available on the CC bridge, however with the warning.

    Whenever I get close the bridge and then run it again, a pop up appears to indicate this:

    I click Yes, and then go the preferences at the bridge, as part of Startup Scripts, activate the Services of RD Browns. I close the bridge, start it again, then get this popup:

    I choose ok, Bridge opens, I go to tools and in its menu, there is Image Processor Pro Dr Browns Services and fully operational.

    As long as I never close the bridge, Image Processor Pro is still there, but whenever I close the bridge, I need to follow the same steps above here.

    Hope this can help someone out there.
