I am trying to install Windows Virtual PC and Windows XP mode on my computer toshiba laptop. The compatibility tool h/w PC said that my PC is h/w support, assisted virtualization (BIOS and processor support for virtualization extensions).I installed Windows XP Mode.
I am trying to install Windows Virtual PC on my Tablet RTM of Windows 7 Enterprise Edition 32 bit and it fails with below:

I tried several options suggested as
(a) restarts - did not work
(b) netstop wuauserv, wicks, rename the softwaredistributionfolder, netstart these services (the two) and try windows complete update - windows update has started but I still couldn't install the KB958559
(c) try cmdprompt in a high of UAC cmd window.I was wondering if there is something else that needs to be done to install this package KB.

Jump here (nothing Bruce suggested is false), I did a search and found this old article (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/245419), which indicates that there is a bad entry under the identity key in the registry (see www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx for background). So if it's a big problem, you can do the steps suggested in this article and that will fix it. Or if you have just one account, then backup your settings and the identity key and then delete the identity key and then start OE and it will establish a new, and you can then set up your account again, and then import the messages from the older directory. But it does not indicate the major corruption, so you can just ignore it.

I already worked on oracle 11g R2 xe with glassfish 3.1.1. Apex 4.1 on win 2008 Server. But recently, I have to learn multimedia functions. so, I downloaded oracle 11g R2 Standard edition.
I installed it on the old installation of XE. in the installation, I chose: the UPGRADE option.
Then, I uninstalled glassfish 3.1 and installed 3.2 Glassfish.
When I tried to configure the listener, I get this error:

I've successfully installed the NCLEX - RN 4000 on Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium edition. However, I get the error message "the"Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0 provider is not registered on the local computer"whenever I try to open the program.» The package says that the software is compatible with versions of Microsoft Windows Vista and XP. I tried to open the program using program compatibility issues resolution which did not work. I also do a right-click on the icon and choose Properties/compatibility and then selected the most recent Microsoft Windows OS program is compatible with and apply the settings. To my dismay, it was also a no go. I did some research and reading that Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit is not compatible with the programs .msi. So, I checked and found out that the file ends by .msi.
With all that said, these are the questions that I find myself with:
What can I do to fix this so that I can use my 4000 NCLEX-RN program?
Why Microsoft Windows 7 is not backward compatible?
Any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated!

If someone else has the same problem when you try to run the NCLEX-RN 4000 program on the Windows 7 operating system, you will need to contact Wolters Kluwer Health (the manufacturer of the NCLEX-RN 4000 Review program). The customer service number is 1-800-638-3030. Once you reach a customer service representative explain why you call and they will send you by e-mail an update that will allow the NCLEX-RN 4000 to run on the Windows 7 operating system. What is the full error message?
Unfortunately, the Windows 7 Compatibility Center does not display the compatibility information for NCLEX 4000. See the link below:
I check and see the system requirements for the NCLEX 4000 and see if it is compatible with Windows 7.
If this isn't the case, you could try installing in compatibility mode for Windows Vista or Windows XP.
If the program is not compatible, then you try to install and run the program in compatibility mode.
Use the following steps:
a. right click on the program
b. click Properties
c. click on the compatibility tab
d. Select run this program in compatibility mode and select Windows Vista or any OS, the program has been run successfully.

It seems to me to see with you have Vista 64 bit.
"There is no 64 bit version of jet which is the reason why you get this error.
