I don't know if it would work like this. my friends say yes because I improved the power, it should work, but I would really like to hear what others think before I was spending money on it.

When you request support, please provide the complete product of the HP computer in question number. HP/Compaq made thousands of computer models which are all different. Without this information, it can be difficult, even impossible to help you solve your problem.

The above requested information on the side, back, or bottom of your computer.

If the maximum TDP of the motherboard is 95 watts, there is no way to use the AMD Phenom II X 4 965 Black Edition Deneb 3.4 GHz Socket AM3 125W CPU. In addition, the AMD Phenom II X 4 965 Black Edition Deneb 3.4 GHz Socket AM3 125W CPU will not be managed because it is a 'BE' or Black Edition CPU, which is not taken in charge by most of AMD HP motherboards. In addition, the AMD Phenom II X 4 965 Black Edition Deneb 3.4 GHz Socket AM3 125W CPU will not be managed because it has an unlocked multiplier, which is not taken in charge by most of AMD HP motherboards.

  • Aurora-R4, seeking to upgrade power supply for a better quality of power supply that is not a brand of Dell?

OK, I have a R4 Aurora, and in my view, that it comes with a power supply of 875 watt. Not 100% about this though. For now, I want to upgrade the power supply to a power supply, so it can support say double cards video in better quality SLI mode. The problem is that the PSU 875 does not have a rail system unique to 12 volts to 50 amps of power support to handle difficult loads of power and provide ample cooling in the power supply. What I would do in the future, it is out of the current PSU, I now and looking to buy a decent POWER supply unit elsewhere. Reference Dell sells a power supply higher than I can use existing wiring, or should I find another brand of PSU and seek to replace the power wiring? And how is it difficult to install if I have to use a different power supply with a different wiring? Installation instructions?

  • Need help for upgrade R2 of Alienware x 51: card graphics, RAM, power supply

Hi, about a year ago, I purchased the Alienware R2 x 51, and I want to improve.

Im a bit new to this so I need help, so I came on the forums.

Current form (these are the parts I want to improve):

    GeForce® GTX 745 with 4 GB of DDR3 memory

3.4 GHz Intel Core i7-4770 processor

    8 GB OF DDR3 MEMORY

You want to upgrade to these parts:

    GTX 960

    16 GB OF DDR3 MEMORY

    I'm not sure things:

-I don't know if I currently have a 330w power, I heard say that because I have the R2 version of the x 51 Alienware, I 330w power (but I'm not sure so if someone can help with this, or tell me how do I know if I have a 330w PSU)

-Ive seen someone use this card with his alienware x 51 and it worked perfectly and I was wondering if it would work with my alienware too

    www.Amazon.com/.../Ref=sr_1_5, qid = 1437994445 & sr = 8-5 & keywords = gtx + 960 + msi

    • This card will fit in my alienware x 51?
    • It will run smoothly?

-Last thing is I need help with the ram, I want to buy two 8 GB sticks and replace them with two 4 GB ones I currently have. I'm not sure which RAM should I get (if someone can help with this and leave a link) which is compatible with my x 51 alienware.

If you had something but the 645 GTX, GTX 745 or GTX 750 ti, you 330w POWER supply. The PSU is determined by what GPU, you, you no what revision. If you want to upgrade to the GTX 960 (the one you accessed is good), you must supply 330w (what I describe as a big black brick with an oval green LED). You probably have the 240w.

Most desktop DDR3 RAM should work with the X 51. Some will not be because they do not match (heat sink (?) too thick and rounded).

  • Trying to upgrade my cpu to A4313w.

I bought a Phenom II Quad Core AM Socket 3 (there was no 2 + listed). On the HP site, it recommends the Phenom II Quad AM2 +.  When I bought the AM3 they said it works very well with the type of motheboard AM2 +. Indeed, when the processor arrived he said it was compatible with AM2 + as well. But it's not. I get a message during startup which said that the processor is not compatible and the computer will stop now.

So, if I have QQ over a glass of wine and Chuck in the Trash because it will never work... or I am doing something wrong with the installation?

    Thanks for listening,

    Kimberly

    Hello

In theory, these processors AMD should work with a socket AM2 + designed to 95 watts.  I can't say that the models 'B' will work or not.

  • vCenter 5.5 | In case of disaster, lost database tries to upgrade, vCenter blue screen and now problems with vCenter rebuilt.

There was a bug in vCenter 5.5 (go figure) where he tried to access a file in "C:\users" for some strange reason, she refused to install/configure SSO.  It took hours of VMWare support to force it to install by copying files autour in hand, trying to get the installer to recognize the file she needed to 'C\users '.

Now, I have vCenter 5.5, with a new database and service WebClient is not configured correctly.  On the page where it asks to run under a local system account or a domain account, I've specified a domain account.  Well, the field is not the name of the server so I knocked on the server.local domain name FULL instead of the server's FULL domain name.  Now when I visit the URL of the web service client it says it cannot connect to vCenter he's trying to access the domain.local not server.domain.local.

VMWare support tells me I have vCenter UNINSTALL and reinstall to fix.  This is ridiculous.  They try to tell me there is no other way to change this setting.  Are you kidding me?

Ideas of the community?  VMWare help was very helpless in front of this whole situation.

    Thank you

    Cody

It turns out that this error during installation is created by the presence of one! my user name.  Support said they will include a fix for this in a future release.  They also said the errors generated during installation could be ignored.  Everything seems not to work regardless of errors generated during the installation process (simple installation).

  • Z640: Upgraded the video card to 1070 GTX. I have to upgrade power supply?

My Z640 has a supply of poer 925w but the power plug 6 pins only I think remaining is not enough to feed my 1070 GTX video card in use heavt. It requires care supply 2 x 8 pins and adapter I installed is not always able to provide enough power. HP chat support wasn't any help. Do I need to install a new power supply that provides power sheets 8 pin pci-e?

    @MacTheSteve, welcome to the forum.

This is Service and Maintenance Guide for the workstation.

I contacted StarTech to see if they would have an adapter 'Y' which had two 8-pin power connectors.  However, those that they should be the following on your motherboard or the power supply:

StarTech Brandon: basically, there are 4 SATA power or LP4 molex.

I believe that your diet is enough power, but simply do not have the required connectors.  At least, I don't the seen on the diagram of the motherboard.  It seems that you need to upgrade the PSU.

  • Pavillion 500-214: I have a HP Pavilion 500-214 and need to upgrade the power supply to support a new video card

I'm upgrading my video card, and the other needs at least 400w.  The existing PSU is only 300w.  What is a power supply compatible to be installed in the Pavilion 500-214?

    Well, we meet again.

While the minimum requirement is power for most video cards 400W, I always offer at least 500W; 600W is even better.  This will allow a high maximum operating power.  A modular power supply is good in a medium-sized business, because just use cables that are absolutely necessary.  This allows for better circulation of air in the case.

This is a power supply that should work for you.  You should check the measurements of the existing PSU (5.9 x 5.5 x 3.4 inches) with the measures of the new power supply to ensure that it will not go in the space provided.  The PSU is the backbone of the computer, this is not the place to save money.

  • Pavilion p6130y power supply upgrade

Remember to upgrade the power on desktop p6130y Pavilion 300W at best it can support but couldn't find the answer.  Could someone tell me the stronger power supply that will support this device?  Thank you.

Theoretically, there is no limit to what you could install. Reported desktop HP consumer does not not with supplies valued at more than 650 watts. There is absolutely no reason to replace your power supply unless you were planning on installing a graphics card high power or a large number of readers and accessories. Please consider the Corsair CX500, CX600, CX500M, CX600M. These power supplies are known to adapt to most HP consumer desktop computers and equip all but the most extreme updates.

  • Power Supply Upgrade for a Lenovo 3000 K100

    Greetings,

I have a Lenovo desktop computer that I would like to upgrade. Firstly the power supply. I was wondering what is the stronger power supply that I can put. So that when in the future when I purchase an upgrade I won't have to worry about food being a problem. I also noticed that the power cable area is located in a different place when I look at power supplys. Is there a certain format that I need to keep in mind? All the detailed data would be a great help. If you need more going off and then comes the series I left in the subject, let me know. Thank you.

  • Need the dimensions of XPS8300 power supply for the upgrade.

So I bought a Dell XPS 8300 on sale Black Friday mainly because of the processor, RAM and HARD drive.  I need a new computer and wanted it to be fast but also wanted a desktop computer, because I intend to upgrade to a better quality of game.  I plan on upgrading the graphics card to a Geforce GTX 560 Ti FPB.  I understand that this will require a more powerful power supply and seeks to those at the moment, probably a 760W supply.  My concerns are mainly regarding the power supply box installation.

Currently my XPS 8300 has a 7P3WV 460W power supply.  Part # H460AD-00Someone has dimensions on this so I can get a power supply that will compete?

Or if no dimensions does anyone know of a compatible PSU?

Finally, I intend to switch on the case and motherboard and all simply transfer on the parties but that is further down the road.

    Thanks in advance!

    nefastusaequitas

Generic standard ATX power supply can be installed, with a power of 20 + 4 pin main motherboard, or 24 pins as the XPS 8300 has a rear panel open, with or without the on/off switch.

You should be able to buy a compatible power supply either a local computer or online store.

Note: A power supply with four SATA power connectors, is necessary.

    Bev.

I need to upgrade the CPU, motherboard and Ram in my machine. Which will impact my Activation of Windows genuine?

original title: can I put my machine after GWA?

It's a Genuine Windows Kit which is what you would be considered a retail license. In other words, that it is transferable to another computer, which means you have the right to support directly from Microsoft.

  • I.m trying to upgrade a HP Slimline S5306.uk CPU E5300 to E7600

When I install the new processor, I get a beep code (a brief a long) indicating a memory problem. Istalled memory is Micron, PC3 - 10600 DDR3 Non - ECC Memory Module RM25664BA1339 x 2 (4 GB total). Memory works fine with E5300 CPU, but the system will not DISPLAY with E7600.

Sorry once again - I thought that I answered the question, but obviously not - indeed CPU E5300 works very well. It was suggested that the memory I have is not synchronizing to 1 066 mhz (IE PC1066 - 1333 mhz), but this seems odd since he clock up to 800 mhz when the E5300 CPU is installed. Unforunately the clock of memory cannot be conytolled by with this motherboard BIOS settings - I 5,07 BIOS).
