Turn asking to stop the script slow return on
A web page was loading slowly and firefox asked if I wanted to complete the slow script and there is a checkbox that says don't ask me. By mistake, I clicked on this box and click OK.
I DON'T want it still wonder, how do I turn that back on?
You can check the pref. (s) browser.slowStartup * on the topic: config page and reset "BOLD" prefs (user set) to the default via the context menu.

Stop the script if something is missing
Hello AEScripters,
can you tell me how to stop a running script, if a condition is not right?
I tried stop() and exit() (normally they do the job...)
But I get an alert that these functions are not defined?
I use it in a function. Could be the problem?
I have something like this:main();
main() {} function
If (something! = null) {}
If (selectedItems.length > 0) {}
check to see if something is selected
targetItems = app.project.selection;
If the use of the selection
}
else {}
Alert ("nothing is selected.");exit(); / / doesen't work
stop(); / / doesen't work either
}}
}
Thanks for your help.

Hello
Just call return to the place where you want to leave. It will not stop the script running, but as you do all the work inside main() it will exit the function. And that you do not all instructions after that the call to main() the script will end.
main();
main() {} function
If (something! = null) {}
If (selectedItems.length > 0) {}
check to see if something is selected
targetItems = app.project.selection;
If the use of the selection
}
else {}Alert ("nothing is selected.");
return;
}
}
}

I have 3 windows firefox with several tabs in each, but the main (and sometimes others) gel and prevent navigation showing a box indicating
"A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding." You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script ends."Script: chrome://fctoolbar841468a1d7f44bd384e6bb0f13a06c64/content/fctoolbar.js:1.
To stop the script? I think it's not to do with Google Chrome but FF model internal to web pages. Thus, a deficiency in the FF, inability to cope, but with what? As far as I KNOW, all software is up-to-date. I have restarted FF, restarted the laptop, but has not changed the FF problem. What is the cause?This is probably caused by a toolbar that installs on your version of Firefox. Most of the scripts that begin with
chrome://
are extensions.
I think that this is very probably the Nectar Search Toolbar , which raises the question, because it seems to be the only toolbar installed on your computer.Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that disables certain parameters, disables most Add-ons (extensions and themes).
If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:
- In Firefox 29,0 and above, click on the menu button
click Help
then select restart with disabled modules.
- In previous versions of Firefox, click on the Firefox button in the upper left of the Firefox window and click help (or click on help in the Menu bar, if you do not have a Firefox button) and click on restart with disabled modules.
If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Mode safe mode as follows:
- On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
- On Mac: Hold the option key during the startup of Firefox.
- On Linux: Exit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox-safe-mode
(you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)
When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "start mode safe."
If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to understand that one. Please follow the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.
To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.
- In Firefox 29,0 and above, click on the menu button

Let's say that I run a script using the "DIAdem"run script.vi"due to the demand of the user. Later, the user wants to cancel because it took longer than expected.
How to stop the script using labview tools?
Jim
Hi Jim,.
It is possible, but not in the way I think you hope. I don't know any way to end a VBScript script running in the DIAdem of the 'outside '. If you have been watching DIAdem you could hit the
key, but a subsequent application of LabVIEW goes in "Script stack" of DIAdem and does not run until the first VBScript happens naturally. Of course, you need to run all your calls of LabVIEW to Sophie in an asynchronous way, or does not.
If you can do is set up each VBScript that you think you might want to abandon to periodically query a global variable of tiara, say "B9" and end of inside the VBScript if B9 = TRUE. LabVIEW DIAdem (ToCommand) command interface will stack Script tiara, but variable interface of LabVIEW DIAdem (ToDataSheet) does not work. If you can "poke" during execution of the first VBScript variable B9 of LabVIEW and influence its behavior, but only if and when this VBScript uses this variable (B9) get bitten.
Of course, none of this helps if your VBScript is busy waiting for a simple VBScript command to run, and it helps only if your VBScript executes several activities, among which it can interrogate the variable (B9).
Hope that helps,

Reset to "help stop the startup slow browser" option
I had the opportunity to reset to "help stop the startup slow browser" option. He did his thing and now all bookmarks are gone. How to restore or find which profile these bookmarks are on.
Sorry to hear about this. Your old data must be in a folder on your desktop named old data from Firefox. You will find this file? If you go down the old profile folder (name is random semi, but often ends by default) and look for a folder named bookmarkbackups can you will find a file named recently along these lines:
bookmarks-2016-11-12_9876_gibberishis .jsonlz4
In this example, 9 876 bookmarks have been saved on 11/12/2016.
If you have a good candidate for the restoration of your new Firefox, this article includes the steps:
Restore backup bookmarks or move them to another computer
Note: the recovery menu may show a fresh backup, but you should probably use choose a file and point Firefox in your old Firefox data folder to find the one you want.

response to "continue the script" works sporadically. Usually, I opt for STOP SCRIPT.
Problem occurs with other times, but not as consistent as w / clear Hist
Which may be caused by disabling cookies via "clear recent history".
- https://support.Mozilla.com/kb/clear+recent+history
- Firefox/tools > Options > privacy > Firefox will be: "Use the custom settings for history" > [X] clear history of Firefox closing > settings
- Firefox > history > clear recent history or tools > clear recent history
If you use "Clear recent history" to clear Firefox cookies also tries to clear cookies from plugins like Flash (LSO), and then starts a process plugin-container for each plug-in, and which can add extra time and can cause a script error does not appear.
Make sure that all plugins are up-to-date.Try to exclude cookies to see if that helps.
Allow all cookies expire when you close Firefox to delete unwanted cookies and keep those with an exception permit.
Make sure that you do not erase the "Site preferences" because that will remove all exceptions.- Tools > Options > privacy > Cookies: "Keep until the": "closing of Firefox".

Stop the script of the game action 3 for mp3 on layer

}The code that show you should work, so you might have some problems of implementation.
For the stop error, you should go in your publishing settings, then select the option to allow debugging for the error includes a line number for what is causing the error. A 1009 error indicates that your code is trying to target an object any does not exist for as far as the code sees it... that can be due to a number of reasons, such as the assignment of code in a frame where the object targeted does not exist.
For the second error, it seems to be a problem loading (or possibly find) the file. Made his debut playing on its own when you first run the code?
Usually a mistake any will prevent a file works properly, so it's just a matter of setting a single one of them.
Normally, you don't have to wait for an audio file load completely before running a reading order... which woiuld be counterproductive to the concept of sound diffusion. In theory, a game following command that runs a command to load but the sound starts until a sufficient buffer exists.
