  • Why is unresponsive script "chrome://browser/content/newtab/newtab.js:1003".

At the launch of firefox usually (but not always) get the script of usually select stop for the "chrome://browser/content/newtab/newtab.js:1003 script is not responding" message and full charge. How can I fix it?

    Hello

Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily disables hardware acceleration, restores some settings and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).

If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:

    • Click on the menu button , click Help , and then select restart with disabled modules.

If Firefox does not work, you can start Firefox in Mode safe as follows:

    • On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
    • On Mac: Hold the option key during the startup of Firefox.
    • On Linux: Exit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox-safe-mode
(you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)

When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "start mode safe."

If the problem is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme or hardware acceleration. Please follow the steps described in the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.

To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

  • Script is not responding: chrome://browser/content/places/browser Views.js of Places: 115

Firefox has become very slow to load.

After about four minutes, the Firefox image for a Web page is displayed. Finally, the screen for my home page (Bing) fills the screen. I get the following error message: "WARNING: unresponsive script: a script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding...» Script: chrome://browser/content/places/browser places Views.js: 115 "

Is this script connected to Bing or Firefox?

If Firefox, how can I stop referring to this error? I uninstalled Chrome from my laptop and strongly prefer not to use it.

I clean my Internet cache using CCleaner, every night. Often the files add up to 200 to 320 MB.

    Win XP Pro SP3.

Thanks a lot for your help.

It of a bit like the engine and turn it back on. It should not change anything, but... Maybe Firefox strives to update something and he couldn't finish the job, while Bing has been posted? In any case, I hope that whatever it is done now.

  • Why do I get the message "a script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding." You can stop the script now, or you can continue to s?

To stop the script? I think it's not to do with Google Chrome but FF model internal to web pages. Thus, a deficiency in the FF, inability to cope, but with what? As far as I KNOW, all software is up-to-date. I have restarted FF, restarted the laptop, but has not changed the FF problem. What is the cause?

This is probably caused by a toolbar that installs on your version of Firefox. Most of the scripts that begin with chrome:// are extensions.
I think that this is very probably the Nectar Search Toolbar , which raises the question, because it seems to be the only toolbar installed on your computer.

Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that disables certain parameters, disables most Add-ons (extensions and themes).

If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:

    • In Firefox 29,0 and above, click on the menu button

      click Help

then select restart with disabled modules.

    • In previous versions of Firefox, click on the Firefox button in the upper left of the Firefox window and click help (or click on help in the Menu bar, if you do not have a Firefox button) and click on restart with disabled modules.

If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Mode safe mode as follows:

    • On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
    • On Mac: Hold the option key during the startup of Firefox.
    • On Linux: Exit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox-safe-mode

When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "start mode safe."

If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to understand that one. Please follow the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.

To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

GlobalStorage is no longer supported in the current Firefox (removed in Firefox 13), versions so the extension or Web site that uses it needs an update and use localStorage instead.
