Turn on Cisco IP Phones to the (VMWI or MWI) message waiting indicator Visual?

How can I brighten Cisco IP Phones to the (VMWI or MWI) message waiting indicator Visual programmatically?

Then, you have to ask in the forum of developers for this kind of things.

  • interface web cisco ip phone from the computer LAN

    Hello

On the uc540 the DATA VLAN is en 192.168.10.0 as the VLAN DATA it is en en 10.1.1.0, I want to access them from the local network the computer the my client who is en 192.168.0.0 to web interfaces of the cisco ip phone so by going to http://10.1.1.x without needing to modifier already exists, how can this be done? I have available in my not to a manageable switch that would allow me to integrate the lan that does not exist in the DATA VLAN of the CPU.

    Thanks for advance

    Hello

The voice VLAN 10.1.1.0 is not routed in your network.

Namely that workstations do not know that there is, and this due to the fact that their router default doesn't know not router network.

Here's how to fix that little problem of routing:

1 / if the default router for the positions in the VLAN data isn't the UC 500, just to add a static route in this router with the sub network 10.1.1.0 and address of next hop (IP address of the router that helps you achieve this subnet).

For example: If the default router is a Cisco router, it is in the VLAN data with the UC500 and the UC500a as the IP address 192.168.0.1.

    conf term

    !

    Route IP 10.1.1.0 255.255.255.0 192.168.0.1

    !

    end

2 / if we can't change this router by default, we must add a path in given work stations of the VLAN.

In a post Windows you do that in a CMD window with the ROUTE ADD command

    c:\>route add 10.1.1.0 mask 255.255.255.0 192.168.0.1

and you can check your local routing table with the command

    c:\>route print

If you want that this road remains in positions of work even after a reboot, use option-p of the route command added

    c:\>route add 10.1.1.0 mask 255.255.255.0 192.168.0.1 Pei

Control the Access-list!  : Of course, after having solved the problems of routing, assure you that there is not an access list that blocks traffic

FINISH POUR a bit of security.  Allow access to the VLAN voice is not a good practice!

As long as possible, to avoid to make the voice VLAN too accessible from anywhere. Therefore, a good practice is to not allow the VLAN data access to the VLAN voice.

  • Switchport security best practices for Cisco IP phones

    Hello.

I have some difficulty to understand what the safest method is to ensure a Cisco IP Phone.

Can't get info on how many course connect a switchport and a telephone computer IP Cisco with a daisy chained to him.

The thing I fear more precisely is how to secure against attacks of Double VLAN tagging and COP on this port.

I searched regardless of the possible resource for the answer and you have not found anything useful.

I also have a question regarding port security on a switch: can you set a minimum amount of MAC addresses active and then limit the period of ageing on the MAC addresses on a specific switchport, such that if someone disconnects the phone and sets up a Cisco switch or other device of thugs, then the port should be stopped during the period of ageing.

Let me know, what you would suggest to better secure the hose between the Cisco IP phone and the switch.

    Best regards

    Casper.

If you see all these as the attack vector for your environment, there are only 802. 1 x that can help you.

  • NAC - STACKED IN THE AUTHENTICATION VLAN IF THE PC IS CONNECTED TO THE CISCO IP PHONE

    Hello

I have configured my NAC in L3OOB, if I connect my pc directly to the switch I have no problem, I can access the network as out-of-band user, I can pass authentication. BUT IF I CONNECT a Cisco ip to switch phone and my pc is connected to the Cisco ip phone I'm stacked to the vlan authentication and cannot access the network. The event logs of the my CAM, it's say that it detects several mac address.

Please guys help me with this problem...

    Thank you and best regards.

    Hello

Have you added your phone MAC address to your CAM in the filter to IGNORE it?

  • The site of phone can be turned off and phones display the site office in the design of phone site?

Currently I have a design of office live site that is updated regularly. I tried to launch a site design phone, but was interrupted by a change in the site of office (I'm adding new sponsors to an event on a regular basis). When I downloaded on the FTP server, phone website has also been pushed through, make a pop unfinished page - up in my phone's browser. My phone site is going to be very important with respect to the page number, and it is not practical to disable and enable each individual page.

Can I have the site completely disabled phone and phones display the site office while designing the application phone? I still need updating the website of the office during this period of design.

    Thank you!

  • 802.1 x and Cisco IP Phone

I'm trying to authenticate a 7970 Cisco IP phone that is configured for 802. 1 x with ACS. When I check the logs on ACS is hows that the phone has no authentication, but the phone is still allowed on the network and can make calls. I've added the MAC address as a user of the CSA and set up a password that matches the password configured on the phone. If I put the wrong password in its still authorized on the network port is never stop. I was talking to someone who was able to do this and some how turned on the av-pair. Only I don't know what to put in it. There when even an idea as to which would need to go there so that when a phone fails to authenticate its put in the comments VLAN or access?

Right. It's the phone doing MD5. All phones will have a unique and encoded username hard. It is designed to simplify the configuration on the side of the phone.

You need to check, since I'm not really practice, but I think that the user name is something like "MS-mac-address-phone-model" or something like that.

    HTH,

  • Help! I condemned my phone to the death of sweat! If I'm screwed?

Hi guys! Here's my deal I have an iPhone 6 s and she is beautiful and I love it but I have a problem! I am a store at Costco and it's very intense and sweaty work. They play music on the speaker on the head, but in my Department and I do not mean squat so I had this great idea to put my phone in my BRA, so I could hear my music (my pants pockets are distant way to listen to diddly as well because of the ringtone incessant forklift). It happened one or two times where my phone has decided I hated me for who I am and would spaz out and Bill had (the taps invisible at random on the screen by drawing the domination of work etc.). Finally to my horror and dismay I came there after a day of crazy and hot on my screen jumps up and down and finally turned to double vision before going completely dark. The window lights upward, but in black only! My alarms would be off as usual the next day and ID touch still worked to extinguish, but here we are day 3 of darkness (I get the pokemon experience withdrawals at that point...) I can't survive) I had my phone in the rice for 12 hours and given up hope, I read a little on here that now in the rice for a few days may be necessary? I'm actually very concerned about possible damage from overheating as well as salt (because let's face it I totally only ray guy). I have re-locked up my poor beloved in a Ziplock of rice in the hope that a few days of time only cost me my entire salary savings (because let's face it also, I am super rich). I'm doing things correctly? My fears are legitimate? Any insider tips guys? Help! Thank you!!

Rice is a good suggestion. You switch the phone off? The phone must have been turned off immediately once you have noticed this. Unfortunately, not to do so may have worsened the chances of recovery. Try the rice, but you may eventually need to have the phone replaced. If this is the case, see http://apple.com/support/iphone/repair/other. I hope that you also have a backup of your data.

  • How can I turn off "find my phone" when my screen is locked?

The touch screen on my phone stopped working today.  When I went to Best Buy, they said that I need to backup my phone in ITunes, before they can send for a new(refurb.) phone.  I also disable "find my phone".   The problem is... I can't do anything with my touch screen so I can't do any of these actions!  When I plug my phone into my computer for iTunes, it doesn't let me go forward until I back my password on the touchscreen... does not work...

Someone told me that I can disable "find my phone" on the site of iCloud.  I just spent 20 minutes connected to this site trying to figure this possibility, and it does not seem possible.

    Any help?

    Thank you

    Jen

IM having the same problem with touchscreen. I found if you force a restart by pressing the buttons home and sleep for about 30 seconds (until you see the Apple), once it restarts the touchscreen works for a few minutes. Long enough to turn off find my iPhone. It works not every time, so if it does not work

k the first time try again. Hope you get the same results as I did. the phone is still not usable, but at least I had find my iPhone is turned off.

  • What happens if I put my phone through the washing?

Accidentally, I put my phone in the washing. After the cycle I immediately put it in rice overnight. The next day, the screen was usable, although I could still see the water under the screen. Then all the today suddenly my phone turns off. If someone calls me it still sounds at their end, but has no effect on mine. Is this what I can still do it?

Ask your insurance and get a new one. It is unlikely that you can pick up the phone to the operating state. Water corrodes the very thin copper strips that make up the circuit board, and the kind of thorough soaking that your phone has been submitted will cause permanent damage. It has not all appearing simultaneously as it takes time for corrosion to take place.

  • I DROPPED MY PHONE WITH THE HELP OF TOILET

I have an iPhone 5, it has been used since about 2013.

I have fallen into the clean toilet last night, immediately he came out, took off my case, then he wiped. Being the fool that I am, I turned on the phone and checked to see if the screen worked. It was, so rather than go to my computer and open a session and research, I decided that it would be faster to search for my phone and google my question. Google was freezing and so I decided to disable (not completely), and then I couldn't get back. I made sure the headset and charging ports were dry and then plugged my phone into the charger. Stupid, I know. My screen would not work but it kept vibrating from all the times that I force start and stop. Eventually, he ceased to vibrate and then I did the round of rice. I checked the button of water damage, and it is always white. I've had my phone in the rice for about 18 hours now, and it won't always turn. Do you think that my phone will still have a chance? And if it isn't, Apple will be able to fix it or Exchange it? I don't have AppleCare. Thank you!

Since your turn because of the damage, you can now call Apple to make an appointment to have then check it out. They will probably suggest that buy you one out of warranty replacement for her.

  • Logon key Bluetooth does not recognize mobile phones during the installation procedure

    Hello

My Portege M400 with bluetooth stack 4.00.25 (bought in July 2006) doesn't recognize any mobile phone during the implementation of how to connect key wireless - except once with a foreign mobile PHONE a few days ago.

Mobile phones are also recognized as bluetooth devices, only the logon key wireless implemented the procedure shows:
"No mobile phone not found, check if bluetooth is enabled" (in German, so this formulation is my translation).
To my confusion, I tried to connect with someone elses phone to make sure that this isn't my phone (MDA) and this foreign phone has been recognised at the time. I'm not throughout the implementation of procedure, as I didn't want someone elses phone to log on my computer.

Now, a few days later, I decided along with that foreign mobile, just to check the operation of the entire wireless log on procedure, but now the phone that worked a few days ago is not recognized, too?

I can't find out what is the cause. Is there anyone who has an idea?

    Help would be very appreciated.

    Kind regards

    • Disconnect external devices or devices connected to the laptop. Press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds

When I'm on a phone call, the call is interrupted and the printer acts like it is trying to accept a fax.  I'm off auto answer.  If I have turned the printer off, the call returns (if any).

When the call is made and I turn on the printer, I get a power fail report, indicating:

These faxes were being be received but were not completely print:

Then it shows something of the night previous (03:57, etc.) reproduced such, but no page.

This happened to me about 5 times.  Also has anyone seen this behavior?

How can I activate the fax out like a light so I do not understand this new?  I never * send * faxes; person don't ever send me.
