What happens if I put my phone through the washing?

Accidentally, I put my phone in the washing. After the cycle I immediately put it in rice overnight. The next day, the screen was usable, although I could still see the water under the screen. Then all the today suddenly my phone turns off. If someone calls me it still sounds at their end, but has no effect on mine. Is this what I can still do it?

Ask your insurance and get a new one. It is unlikely that you can pick up the phone to the operating state. Water corrodes the very thin copper strips that make up the circuit board, and the kind of thorough soaking that your phone has been submitted will cause permanent damage. It has not all appearing simultaneously as it takes time for corrosion to take place.

I try and put music on my phone through the Apple music and it says something about waiting for 90 days. Anyone know what it is or how to ignore it?

Looks like you may have recently changes your Apple ID you use iTunes on your iPhone.  When you change this ID, you are locked for 90 days.  You can change to another code, but you can download past purchases or save the content on your device until the expiry of this original lock.  When you change IDs the first time it is a nice warning that appears and asks if you are sure that you'll be locked in this ID for 90 days.  There is no way around the lock, other only of waiting.  I think that this prevents you form jittering in all your Apple ID friends and just download all, but that's probably what you're going through right now.  Good luck!

  • What happens when you reinstal XP OS with the cd that takes me to service pack 2 and I'm at service pack 3

I bought TurboTax and downloaded, but can I have downloaded previously because I was unable to install due to the previous installation.  After that 2 hours of phone support with TurboTax including screenshare, they stated that the problem lies in the registry. It was damaged and I had to reinstall my OS.

What happens when you reinstal XP OS with the cd that takes me to service pack 2 and I'm at SP3?

I finally found my OS reinstall CD, but it's waaaay above my comfort level... what I do now.

Frankly, if TurboTax is causing this much trouble, I would use another company as the income tax act.

Of course, you can reinstall Windows. It's a shame, if that's the only way to solve this problem. :-(
For later use, it is sometimes necessary to download the installation file, physically disconnect from the Internet, set up a clean boot (using msconfig startup diagnosis), reboot and THEN install the large program (and then undo the clean boot, reboot and re-connect to the Internet).

Because you will lose the lot, you will need to restore from your external backup. If you do not back up your files regularly then it is a good time to review your backup strategy.

You can always back up your files to boot the machine with a Ubuntu boot CD. Unfortunately, it is much more difficult than restoring from a backup disk.

  • What happens to iCloud library after you restore the old library on Mac?

I have known problems with iDevices displaying thousands of 'new' images, even if they are all already in the library of Photos on Mac and on iCloud photo library, I posted on here also.

Through the various attempts to stop these 'new' photos to reappear again and again, I found myself with several copies of the thousands of images in the pictures on Mac and therefore in iCloud (i.e. they synchronized). Rather than go to the library and find it manually and remove these duplicates, I would just return the photo via Time Machine library to its prior state of duplicates. After I restored the local library there will be no duplicates and have much less images than what is in the iCloud, photo library.

    My question:

'Local library restored' rule and the iCloud library will correspond to the now smaller local library? Or all of the duplicate to my local library files will be synchronized? Put an another passerby, did restore Time Machine also "informed" (impact) the library to match the local library restored iCloud?

Restores the local library AND remove all images in iCloud and then re-upload a 20 K library to iCloud the only way?

    Thanks in advance.

First, you will need to erase your iCloud library in iCloud, I'm afraid, Pope, prior to activating the library restored as a your photo library system.

I only tested once. After the restoration of the library of Time Machine, the library was no longer recognized as the photo library of the system, even in the same location on disk. That caused the iCloud photo library to deal with the library as an additional library must be downloaded to iCloud. The library was merged to the existing library, so older duplicates have been removed.

  • What happened to my show desktop icon in the Quick Start menu when I upgraded to Firefox 4?

I value and often use the button SHOW DESKTOP which has always been in my QUICK START MENU... until I recently upgraded to the latest version of Firefox because he promised to be faster (and my experience online in spite of paying for "high speed" is anything but fast!). I see that the icon was not just moved but DELETED and I'm not at all happy about it. What happened and how I get it back? Thank you. (By the way, I don't want a fancy with a bunch of words irritable instructions. I need the answer in a format that can follow a student of 1st year. (Thank you.)

You can create a new shortcut easily enough. Just drag it into the Quick Launch bar on with the right mouse button and then choose "Create shortcut here" from the menu you get.

  • What happens when managed, segment size of memory the server has

    Hi all

Can anyone provide some information on what happens after reaching the size of memory managed server segment by... We are on 11.1.2.3. Our is a compact deployment with EAS, APS, RA, WA, web applications deployed on the single managed server work space. Our chunk size is set to 8 000 MB (8 GB) and I'm trying to understand what happens once the limit is reached, I tried searching for an answer in the forums of Weblogic, but did not find anything. So maybe if someone could shed some light on what would help a lot.

    Thank you
    Ted.

I expect the Dungeon of increasing size until the segment maximum + fresh General, the gc must retrieve the memory to be allocated again and is not released to the OS.

  • What happens if you put more than 16 GB of ram in an iMac 2011?

    Hello

I just bought two cards of 8 GB of RAM, which gives me a total of 16. Apple says it's 2011 limit of the iMac, but I still have more than two dwellings and two maps of RAM of 2 GB that accumulate to a total of 4. So in total, I have 20 GB of RAM. So my question is, what do I do if I put all the 20 GB on my iMac? Would it be correct? It would start? He would kill it?

Sorry if my question is confusing!

    Thank you!

Depending on the tool Advisor in memory in Crucial , you can have up to 32 GB. The RAM sticks installed in pairs are the best.

  • What happens when I run recovery disks in the computer?

    Original title: .vista

I want to run my vista recovery disk, what actually happens when I do this.

    Hello

When you run the manufacturer's recovery disk, it puts your computer / computer laptop back to factory settings. the new condition that you bought it in.

All your data: pictures, music files, etc. must be backed up on an external hard drive before making a recovery, because they will be normally lost.

All data updates to Windows, 3rd party programs, and that you have installed since your purchase of computer no longer the disk hard as the hard disk is normally wiped clean of everything during the recovery process.

The above is called a destructive recovery.

Some computer manufacturers also have the possibility of a non-destructive recovery, which stores programs and data in place.

But, the data must be saved IN the MATTER.

If your problem is so bad that you need to reinstall, a non-destructive recovery does not solve the problem of normally and most destructive recovery needs to be done

    See you soon.

  • Windows 2008 - what happens if it does not activate in the grace period?

    Hello

I know it is a forum for Vista but everything on the web seems to tell me that way...

In our Organization, we plan on using KMS for activation of our Windows 2008 servers (we have only 2 of them at the moment). However what I read you need at least 5 physical servers Windows 2008 (not the Virtual Machines) before they will start to activate.

My question is: what will happen to the Windows 2008 servers if they do not activate the grace period?

From what I can tell they should keep normal operation (reduced functionality Mode has apparently been removed from Windows 2008) but will be many notifications to activate me now whenever you log on to the server.

    Thanks for your help.
