TWAIN drivers

We run a Citrix implemented with 90 + servers on the farm. We have 310 remote-scan installed on workstations in clinics in our health care system. Users log on the Citrix server as an anonymous user and they all pick up the default profile.

Twain drivers do not load occasionally and users are not able to scan until they log out of the application.

We had an engineer at remote-Scan on a web meeting for 3 hours of debugging and he couldn't understand why Twain drivers were not properly load.

I wonder if this is a registry key that is causing the problem. I am eager to find another user who has encountered the same problem or someone to remote-scan that could help. Our users are very frustrated and do not analyze all the documents because of this problem. We looked at other solutions of digitisation, but wishes to continue to use remote-scan due to the characteristics, already trained users and the software is already purchased.

We run Citrix Presentation 4.5 v9.150.39151 and his Client.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The problem never manifest in a non-anonymous account? Maybe something doesn't work does not correctly when the default user account is created or not mapped correctly. If the operating system is to map the homedrive and homepath on drive M and the repertoire and the appropriate files are in the windows subfolder and these files are the correct version, then everything is properly in place. The same files should also be at the root of the windows system as well. As long as these files are there, it's then a windows & twain work for search and a list of the drivers at this time.

A month later... Problem SOLVED itself! All this time I don't have fact, or uninstall/install software HP AIO. Had no time and I was expecting than Christmas to find. Also, as I mentioned above, I was able to scan via MS Scanner & camera wizard. Now the problem SOLVED itself! By simply installing the latest patches from Microsoft IE: KB958215 & KB960714. -PS. same problem with MS Media Player 11 running in the background without window on the screen is resolved by installing the latest patches: KB955839 KB956802, KB952069 KB954600. Don't blame HP this time. Bill Gates trash sucks too.

  • TWAIN drivers for my Epson Perfection 610 scanner that works with Vista 64

I searched high and low for the two pilots that would allow me to continue to use my scanner Epson Perfection 610 on Vista 64. Except for the purchase of a costly program to scan, I am confused. Is there generic drivers that would work? Thank you.

DRD, I imagine that you must have a HP computer with the Epson scanner attached to it.  Since it is a HP forum, it would be best to contact Epson to find a driver for your scanner.

  • are all 64 bit WIA drivers the same, if not what is the difference?

Each WIA of TWIAN of 64-bit driver is different for each application and equipment? If so, what is the difference?

TWAIN drivers are different for each device (Scanner for example) not only by the device but manufacturing. Microsoft does not include a generic TWAIN driver, but if you were to install a HP printer / scanner for example you will also find a HP Twain

The diagram shown here: http://www.eztwain.com/twain1.htm you can see where the driver is located in the interface between your hardware and software.

  • Access of Twain does not not in programs

I recently had a hard drive crash, after replaceing the drive I reinstalled win7 Home Edition top, I installed my printer/scanner Photosmart HP 6510 and after installing my program I use all the time, Paint Shop Pro. 9, he can now access the twain aquire, it gives an error that twain was not found. : What should I do to get this feature. All the necessary drivers been installed as well.

    Hello

The TWAIN Working Group not to make, provide or distribute scanners or drivers.
They come with a specification that allows a scanner or camera to write drivers for their devices sellers.
When the manufacturer write a driver following the TWAIN specification, it is often referred to as a "TWAIN driver" or "compatible with TWAIN driver."
You can get in touch with HP support for more information on the question of if the printer HP Photosmart 6510 supports TWAIN drivers.
  • TWAIN and 64 bit OS

Why Microsoft gave TWAIN?  Just WIA has not features that graphic artists are accustomed to using with TWAIN drivers.  For example, supports my Epson TWAIN driver scanner: resolution, size of the target, resizing, cropping, Unsharp mask, Descreening, back light correction, dusting, with support of the ice.  Adjustments like Auto exposure, tonal correction, image adjustment and color correction.

WIA?  Adjustments very limited resolution and brightness/contrast.

If Microsoft wants to keep the graphics industry to use WINDOWS instead of a Mac, we need to support better scanning under 64 bit OS!

Well, it is not altogether without Microsoft.

    The Cause of the problem

Most of the suppliers of scanner are too lazy to provide 64-bit TWAIN drivers. They offer only 32 bit drivers TWAIN, so 64-bit applications cannot access through 64-bit TWAIN scanners.

The Solution: Analyzers to access the 64-bit Applications

Asprise scan c# VB.NET Twain scanner SDK is probably the only scanning library that works for both 64-bit and 32-bit applications thanks to the innovative technology that fill the 64-bit applications to 32-bit TWAIN seamlessly.

    Supports 64 bit & 32 bit applications

Asprise scan SDK is probably the only library digitization who works for applications as well 64-bit and 32-bit with our patent pending innovative technology and quality implementation.
