Hey bartender,.

Download, install and run Revo Uninstaller: http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.html mode advanced to see if you can correctly uninstall Firefox using this program.  I found it often works (and does a better job) when Vista uninstall process (or anything that was supplied with Firefox).  Make sure that you ONLY remove items related to Firefox in the areas of advanced (which is all it should be, but sometimes it offers more than it should)-when in doubt, make a note of it and leave it alone.

If this does not work, see the following article on the Mozilla site on how to unininstall Firefox: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Uninstalling%20Firefox.

Here is another article on Mozilla's Firefox unininstalling.  It goes a little deeper than prior: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Uninstalling_Firefox.

I hope this helps.

Good luck!

Have you followed the steps when removing Firefox below?

Some Firefox problems can be solved by performing a clean reinstall. This means that you remove Firefox program files, and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:

Note: You can print these steps or consult them in another browser.

    1. Download the latest version of Firefox from mozilla.org office (or choose the download for your operating system and language on this page) and save the file to install it on your computer.
    2. Once the download is complete, close all Firefox Windows (or open the Firefox menu

      Click the close button

      ).

    3. Remove the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
      • Windows:

        • C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
        • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox
      • Mac: Delete Firefox in the Applications folder.
      • Linux: If you have installed Firefox with the distribution-based package manager, you must use the same way to uninstall: see Install Firefox on Linux. If you have downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder firefox in your home directory.
    4. Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
      1. Double-click on the downloaded Setup file and go through the steps in the installation wizard.
      2. Once the wizard is completed, click to open Firefox directly after clicking the Finish button.

WARNING: Do not use an uninstaller to third parties as part of this process. This could permanently delete your Firefox profile data, including but not limited to, extensions, cache, cookies, bookmarks, personal settings and passwords saved. They can be retrieved easily unless they have been backed up on an external device! See back up and restore the information contained in the profiles of Firefox.

  • Version 9.0.1 opens on a Google page, with no option of Firefox menu available and no obvious way to access and modify. Firefox is configured as the default browser. Uninstalled and reinstalled several times - same result. Version 8 was fine.

Once installed, the icon of Firefox opens a Google web browser page that has no toolbar or the navigation buttons. He won't go to Firefox with Google as a research tool. It doesn't seem to be a way to get Firefox.

You can be in full screen; Press the F11 key to toggle full screen or not.

If this does not resolve the problem, make sure that the Navigation bar is enabled (checked = displayed; UN - check = not displayed)

  • The BBC iPlayer no longer works on Firefox despite works perfectly on IE. I uninstalled and reinstalled Flash Player, but it is no different.

The window of the iPlayer is, but the circle of "loading" then go round and round and round forever. I am trying to listen to the radio, not to watch television. IE no difficulty - I hate just to use it.

I went to two different pages - Desert Island Discs on Radio 4 and one of history those. I don't have to listen, but to listen again. I just clicked on the "listen" icon and a new window comes up with the information at the top and the bar that shows the program playing never appeared - as I said, the continuous circle just go round and round for ever. I thought I was pretty clear in my original view that everything worked perfectly fine on IE but I want it to work on Firefox, so I'm not sure what your comments about Ubuntu have to do with what whatsoever.

As I've said, for reasons unknown it's suddenly started working.

My Pagemaker 7.0.1 has stopped working.  When I try to re install it first tells me that the bot will app uninstalling load and once complete, the program stops as soon as I open it.  This is a full version under license.

PageMaker does not work on windows 8. With no claimed to run on win 7 and 8, but not always, and no one proved a reliable configuration which is able to output several times pdf files.

You need an old windows Xp machine to run Pagemaker.  Other alternatives are Indesign, including but expensive and complicated, worthwhile if you do a lot of page layout. Serif pageplus is a good enough alternative cheap, or Scribus which is a free alternative.

You are one of the very few who would get an answer to your problem. I had a similar problem that it resolved itself.

I haven't used my laptop for a while and during a power outage, I wanted to us my laptop. He did not move.

Problem is that due to the power failure my internet wasn't working.

Connecting Wi - Fi has been restored my laptop have been updated and everything worked again.

  • Firefox has done an update (I think version 18) and after that it crashes when I try to open it. It crashes when I try to boot in SafeMode as well.

I did a complete uninstall and reinstall several times. I checked all of the solutions listed in the database, and none of them does not seem to help. I have downloaded two recommended malware removal programs, performed a full scan, but they come with nothing. I tried to get the details of the error report, but the StoneBreaker journalist does not display all. The only thing I get in D:\Users\ < username > \AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports\ is a file named LastCrash with the 1357955879 number in the file.

I am running Windows 7, everything has been updated; OS, virus definitions, drivers, etc.

I updated to MS Security Essentials and ran an extended scan. There are a few articles, but I don't think that the pabbbtyx.dll has been registered. Anyone know where MS security log files are stored? I can check if it is. The reason is, I don't know if it's hard or not. I went to msconfig and noticed that the DT app file, pabbbtyx.dll was set to load at startup. I managed to turn it off from the start and now Firefox works correctly.

So really I don't know if my system is perfectly clean or disabling at startup worked. I guess I could reactivate to see, but I don't want to deal with it now. I have too many problems thereby lately and just don't feel like it. Later, I re - will allow it to see if it makes a difference and post a reply.

  • My Firefox opens on a completely white screen with no menu bar or whatever it is. I uninstalled and reinstalled several times with the same problem. Help!

I opened this morning with no problems, went to my g-mail account, pulled upwards an e-mail, click on answer, typed my respons, but when I hit send, everything went completely empty.

I have not compressed, without... menu bars anything other than firefox upper-left logo and reduce it, full-screen/small screen and close / x buttons in the upper left corner... it's she.

I uninstalled and reinstalled several times, but nothing works.

    What now?

    COR - el,

Wow... that was well above my head... at least tonight. Laughing out loud

After my last post, I did a little research and figured out how to import my favorites in IE8... so I uninstalled firefox again... but this time I had checked the "delete my personal Firefox and customizations" in the wizard, who did remove two addons (Ghosery and Ad Block Plus)... the relocation was different this time and the first time you start firefox He asked if I wanted to import my IE Favorites, which I did... I now added Ghosery and Ad Block... and if so far everything goes well... seems I got this back up and running.

The mention of the malware in a madperson add-on has been helpful to my solve my problem.

  • I uninstalled and reinstalled and Firefox for windows 7 does not open. There is no error message - it just does not, even in safe mode. What should I do?

My computer is set to the automatic update in Windows 7 Home Premium and Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010. I am also running Norton 360. There was a major update for the office on 10-12-14, which seems to be at the start of my problems. This month, whenever my updates caused a restart, Mozilla has failed to open. I uninstalled and reinstalled several times, and it lasted only a day or two before it crashes again. This last time it is still not open. All instructions to solve problems appear to be based on the idea that the program is open and just questions. I can't even open it in Mode without failure.

I tried to reinstall, and it says it will launch automatically when the installation is complete, but it does not work. As Norton scan every download before it works, I am not sure if this is the problem since I never get the window that indicates the setup step by step for Firefox.

    What should I do?

Some Firefox problems can be solved by performing a clean reinstall. This means that you remove Firefox program files, and then reinstall Firefox. A clean reinstall is not the same as a regular resettlement performed using built-in installer.

    4. Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
      1. Double-click on the downloaded Setup file and go through the steps in the installation wizard.
      2. Once the wizard is completed, click to open Firefox directly after clicking the Finish button.

More information on the resettlement of Firefox can be found here.

Please report to say if this helped you!

    Thank you.
