TWIN MEMORY? Z575

Hello

I have a laptop Lenovo IdeaPad Z575GM cu processor AMD A6 - 3400M 1.40 GHz, 4 GB, 500 GB, AMD Radeon HD 6520

I want to 'give' another 4 GB.

Will it work in DUAL CHANNEL?

My index of 7 (x 64) windows current 5.9 (out of memory), I read that she should go up to 7.x something (with 8 GB Dual Chanell). Is it true?. This will improve my index of video game?

What shoud model I chose:

-Memoirs Kingmax 4 GB DDR3 1333 MHz laptop

-Memoirs portable Corsair VS 4 GB DDR3 1333 MHz

-Memoirs portable Kingston ValueRam 4 GB DDR3 1333 MHz CL9

Sincerely Florin

  • CQ61-319WM and AC twin memory RAM speed

I bought the CQ61-319WM with / 3 GB or RAM.  The provided configuration is a badly matched set of a 1 GB SODIMM (A-Data) and a 2 GB SODIMM (Samsung).  According to CPU - Z 1.54, both pieces is 400 MHz (DDR2 - 800 MHz), latency CASE 6-6-6-18-24 and according to Memtest86 + 4.00, the result is speed of the RAM of 3481 MB/s using 64-bit transfers (single channel access).

Upgrading to a configuration usually total memory dual channel results in a good Speed up, I decided to replace the 1 GB SODIMM with another 2 GB.

I had a piece of 2 GB to another previous project, but it was a version special high speed with latency CASE of 5-5-5-18-23.  I decided that a pair of them so completely taken over would be the best that I could reach, so I bought a second piece (about 80 $ CAN) and put them in.  I've also upgraded the BIOS F.13 (and my Memtest86 + 4.10).

The result is better, but not as good as it could be.  Reports of CPU - Z full CASE 5-5-5-18 is used and I think it's saying that the dual channel is active (or he's saying that the RAM can support double channel - I am not sure).

Memtest 86 + (4.00 and 4.10 versions) indicate that the CASE has indeed changed to 5-5-5-18, but that access is still 64-bit (single channel) and the speed of RAM increased to 3614 MB/s.

3614 MB/s is faster than 3481 MB/s, it is not as fast as I expect 5-5-5-18-23 memory to be if it is currently running dual channel (128-bit access).

I believe that the BIOS has probably decided to stay "single channel" because the RAM is in a configuration that was unexpected (because the latency CASE is too fast).  However, this probably means that if I buy another piece of 'standard' 800 MHz DDR2 (CASE 6-6-6-18-24) and install it with the original Samsung RAM, it will probably run at full dual channel (128-bit).  Such a configuration should be faster than what I'm running now, despite the fact that the RAM by piece real speed is slower.

Anyone used this RAM (2 x (2 GB, 800 MHz, CL6)) the installation program?  Can anyone confirm that the result is a configuration complete dual channel?  I can buy the RAM, but if she does not run dual channel, so it's just a waste of money.

Note: It would certainly NOT let fall to the bottom as for two-channel to 667 MHz.  Such a decline would result in approximately 2600 MB/s even double channel speeds up access.

I heard generally good.  Curiosity prevailed, and I bought one more piece of RAM.  This piece has been another 2 GB DDR2 800 MHz SODIMM, but this time with the same latency than the original equipment numbers (CASE 6-6-6-18-24).  I installed it with the original Samsung CQ61-319WM and speed of memory that result was exactly the same as the pair (CASE 5-5-5-18-23) faster RAM.  The computer has finished 3-pass of Memtest86 + 4.10 as the fastest pair of RAM, confirming also the speed.

This tells me that the speed increase had nothing to do with issues of latency, and she had to come from the increase in speed of access memory (128-bit) 'Dual Channel '.

As to why Memtest86 + 4.10 is reported as "single channel", I feel that the answer may have to do with the RAM 'Side Port' CQ61 graphics system.  According to published specifications, this computer has 128 MB GDDR2 (and memory).  It does not say how this memory is configured.  If it is the only channel (128-bit), then it could be that Memtest86 + sees.

To confirm this, I took the pair of quick latency RAM and put it in another computer that uses an older AMD 690 chipsets, and the same pair of RAM ran in dual channel mode on the other computer, but at a lower speed of 667 MHz.  Therefore, it seems that AMD memory controllers have probably no problem with this pair of RAM running in dual channel in general.

While nothing that I've done is quite conclusive, indicates that this computer was probably working with access memory dual channel for two configurations of 4 GB RAM I used.

In any case, I'll leave the slower RAM in the computer because whenever I change my configuration of memory, I have to lose more than 3 hours running Memtest86 + to check it's OK.  If I did not need to get an acceleration, I will use the faster RAM later in something else.

There might be a reason to use the best of the RAM (which is probably more recent technology and probably using a little less power), but I don't want to spend more time on this issue.

  • Satellite Pro U200 - index to Vista 2.6

Hello, (my English are not so good)
I have a problem with my U200. I have 2.0 GB of RAM installed, but Microsoft Vista give me a RAM 2.6. The Everest benchmark show me a Memoryreadspeed with 1 700 MB/sec - it's very slow. Twin memory works.

What to tell your Vista on the RAM?

    Thank you
    Micha

    Hello

Can I ask what index to did you expect?
And why are you writing about problem? Is that version 2.6 index a problem?

  • Shared RAM

    Hello

    Equivalent two-channel and shared memory?

How can I tell if my laptop memory is shared/dual channel?

How will I know if my mobile phone supports the DDRl 1.3 Volts?

Are all DDR3 modules shared / twin memory?

    Thank you in advance.

    Concerning

Well this isn't 1.35 1.3 volts and if the computer already has a 1.5 volt module I would not mix memory of 1.5 and 1.35 so get another 1.5 volts. Of course, the system is OK with him.

  • Replacements

Hello, I have a HP Envy Sleekbook 4-1055tx with the number of product B9K27PA. My question is can I remove the battery from the laptop and run it just on the AC adapter / CC? and Seagate Momentus XT 750 gb Solid State Hybrid drive and Corsair Vengeance 1x8Gig ddr3 SODIMM 1600 Mhz compatible with my camera?

Twin memory should not be a problem as long as the manufacturer of the RAM did not have a requirement to make it work.  Most laptops do have 2 SODIMM slots, then channel would not be beneficial in this scenario.  Dual channel would benefit if the system had 4 memory slots to use.  See this topic on the forum for more information about how dual channel works (depends on the motherboard than RAM).

Your laptop should be able to turn on without the battery.  However, I recommend leaving the battery care and just it unplug the connector from the motherboard.  Keep in mind that the battery will not be charged without being connected, and this could decrease overall autonomy over time.

  • Upgrade CPU Presario SR1610NX

    Hello

I want to improve my Sempron 3200 + to a faster processor in my Compaq SR1610NX.  First problem I had was that AMD lists this CPU as a Socket AM2 therefore the upgrade, I bought does not calculate, so to speak.  So if I stay with good Socket 939, can I choose any piece which corresponds to this?  The last time I updated a computer that I had to put the riders for the bus and the cpu clock speed.  Is - this automatic these days?

Also, I added two sticks of 1 G of memory in the first two slots and the original 256M in third place.  I get channel dual mode in this configuration?  I treat dual channel mode?

    Thank you

    John

John, here's a link to the 'Product information' pages for your computer:

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/documentSubCategory?tmp_rule=34501&LC=en&DLC=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=1127350

If you open the "Motherboard card" link and look at the section called "CPU/processor", you will see that your motherboard will have a "AMD Athlon 64 X 2 (up to 4800 +) and the Sempron (up to 3200 +).

Now, your biggest problem will be to find the processors 'socket 939.  They are very rare.  Newegg their list even on their Web site.

With respect to memory, if the sticks are two-channel, they should show as such in a program, such as CPU - Z.  Twin memory is much better, so if you get it setup properly, it will be faster.  I don't know what slots are suitable for dual channel, however.

  • Memory twin on U840-10U

    Hi all

AFAIK the U840-10U has a 4 GB of DDR3 memory module memory (1600 MHz). It also has an extra plug for an additional memory module. Am I wrong?

This model has dual-channel memory technology? I mean, if I add a new additional 4 GB of DDR3 (1600 MHz) memory module, the computer would be able to access it at the same time? I'll make it through the Toshiba SAT official not to lose the warranty.

    Thank you in advance,

    Hello

    > As far as I know the U840-10U has a 4 GB of DDR3 memory module memory (1600 MHz). It also has an extra plug for an additional memory module. Am I wrong?
This seems to be the U840 supports two correct memory locations.
The device supports DDR3 1600 MHz (PC3-12800) SO-DIMM 4 GB and it support dual channel.

I see that the satellite A100-338 has a chipset intel 945 GM, who, according to intel, supports dual channel memory. Is it so? Crucial to the site it says that it's not and there is no reference to this website of toshiba. Can someone give me a definitive answer?

    Thank you

    Tom.

    See this page:

    [Memory for Toshiba Equium A100-338 | http://www.orcalogic.co.uk/asp/prodtype.asp?prodtype=28155&ft=m&st=3]

There, you can find this info:
    Memory compatible type: * DDR2 533 MHz (PC2-4200) 200 - PIN SODIMM

The laptop can certainly stand modules of DDR2 (dual channel)!

  • "The String to Byte Array" and its operations on-site (memory) of twins "Byte Array to string"? (or if they incur sentence of copy/memory operation?)

I can't deduct the answer to this question (topic/post title) of the help of LabVIEW on the functions.

Intuitively, it seems that the two representations of data are equal to the memory and so goes between the two should essentially be a no-op when the code is compiled... but is it? (assuming that the length of the array of strings/remains constant, can I go back repeatedly without performance?)

As a string of LabVIEW is a handful and any other type of data except tables aren't a handful; that implies to me that a string = U8-table-grip handle and so a string into an array of U8-could be a memory or inefficient operation since no conversion actually take place?

The reason I ask, is that when you work with for example TCP Read or read VISA, 'data' reading is always a string, but according to what you are doing, this string is often more efficiently processed/interpreted if converted to an array of U8 and I just want to know if (memory and CPU point of view) I can move freely between the chain and U8 array and return depending on what format is most appropriate to a point?

(Also, I'm at this stage fairly certain that the "array of strings of bytes" is cleaner AND more efficient than a type-cast to an array of U8 strin... but I could be wrong.)

I did some tests on this just now, and my conclusion is that it is completely in place. The local users group had a coding challenge when this became relevant to my solution.

  • EliteBook 8540w: identification of Slot Correct memory for twin Enable memory RAM upgrade

I just bought an opportunity Elitebook 8540w with i7 quad core and four memory locations (I love it!).  It is running 64-bit Windows 7 Professional he came with a 4 GB memory module and I bought an additional module of 4 GB to 8 GB of total RAM.

I have the HP document that shows both modules of memory of 4 GB, it takes in the memory slot 1 and the other in the memory slot 3 for the proper functioning of the memory double channel.  All together right?

Not quite.  In the Elitebook 8540w, primary under the keyboard memory locations are clearly labelled '1' and '2' However, the locations of memory expansion on the underside of the chassis are also clearly labelled Opps '1' and '2 '!  There is no '3' and there is no '4' in which three vacant slots we installed the second module of 4 GB for the proper functioning of the dual memory channel?

    Hello

Name of the model, model number, operating system, 32 or 64-bit?

If your system (most important) can support dual channel config & depending on your module memory also support - they usually go,

    You can go before purchase
    Memory SDRAM SODIMM 2 GB DDR3 1600 MHz PC3-12800

Same brand i.e. ADATA would be ideal.

I guess that your laptop has two slots & it is expandable to 4 GB.

  • K7X03AV #ABA: adding memory

I will soon receive my new PC HP Envy 700-515xt.

    Data sheet:

    OS: Win 7 pro x 64

    Motherboard: MSI Kaili 2

    Memory: 8 GB DDR3 1600 MHz [1 DIMM]

Processor: 4th generation Intel Core i7-4790 processor image [3.6 GHz, 8 MB of shared cache]

    Video: Onboard Intel graphics card

At the time I ordered it I don't give to much thought, to be honest I didn't know, the memory capacity twin platform processors.  I don't know if the motherboard has dual channel capiblity.

What I've read, it is better to have two Dimms of equal value to take advantage of this capibility. I have now, I wonder if adding an additional 8 GB memory DDR3 - 1600 MHz would be useful or if it is even necessary.

The use of my compuuter is pretty basic with some basic photo work but not all game.

    My questions:

The motherboard above there two-channel capabilities?

I see a significant improvement by adding another 8 GB of RAM?

If so, how can I know what manufacturer of RAM to buy?

    I would appreciate your opinion

    Thank you

    Stan

    Hey Stan,

Yes, the card mother Kaili2 a support dual channel memory.

Unless you run applications that use a lot of memory, then 8 GB should be enough. Review graphs under the resource monitor W7 on the memory tab, and in particular 'fouls hard. "  If you encounter a lot of hard holes while you might need of more memory. You must also consider the amounts of memory allocation.

If you believe that you have need of more memory, then see the tips below.

Your first consideration should be Support HP or HP sales during the consideration of upgrades or replacement of memory. If you want to consider other manufacturers of the best way to avoid memory problems is to contact one of the leading manufacturers of memory. I would recommend that you try the tools of these manufacturers: Corsair, Kingston andCrucial. Once you have determined the DIMMs that you need, then contact commercial or technical support to check that you have selected the correct DIMMS. If you buy directly from manufacturers, then they will stand behind their products.

    Hello

    JJM says:
I ordered the Crucial memory upgrade kit. Then will come the real installation. I'm a little tentative trying to change modules of memory because I've not done this before. Are there problems I should be aware of that I open the SR1630NX, find the motherboard and memory sticks, remove and install new?

    It's really very simple.

All it takes is patience and attention to the location of the index in the module and the game inside the DIMM slot.

Unplug the power connector from the power outlet.

    Open the case.

touch something metal in the case with your hand to dissipate static electricity from your body. I actually always use an anti-static wristband.

Press the tabs on each side of a module locking and it comes out.

use the thumb and forefinger on each end of a module and remove it carefully.

during the installation of the modules to place them in the same locations you deleted the 'old' of.

Search the index of the module tab and the tab corresponding inside the ALS DIMMt.

Use the slots on the inside and under the locking tabs guide to guide the module in the DIMM connector correctly

now, use your thumbs to the top end of the module for shake it gently in the DIMM slot.

you will know that it is in place as you feel / hear a click.

now check to make sure that the locking tabs are in place at the ends of the module.

Repeat the process with the other modules

That's all there is to it.

    Kind regards

Uses the type of the laptop RAM is ddr3 1333 mhz pc3-10600, without parity, capable channel, 2 dimm 204 sockets so pin RAM.

My question is whether or not this RAM is compatible with the laptop: [url]http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Electronics-Extreme-MV-3T4G3-US/dp/B00591ZYX8 [url]
