two profiles?

I recently got pre2. I create a new profile, but when I look at accounts app and other apps I have 2 profiles of palm.

One of them was Dr. Skipped Firstuse. How to make the journey of this profile?

Hello!

There is no current fashion removed the ignored first use palm profile when you use the #devmode # # or #* devmode #.  The only way to get an ignored and live profile is by using a patch to go through the first use after fucking her this method he supported.  Don't worry for your devcie profile will know not to do anything with that and do not to store data in this profile is no longer to have an additional account in the accounts request.

If you have not used devmode to ignore the first first use, then you will need by partial erase the device and resign in your profile palm, time note you don't need a carrier to back up data connection.

There is an add-on called FEBE, and it allows you to export virtually everything that Firefox offers (including modules) as installable files.

So basically, you can take the range of extensions and export them in another Firefox profile.

  • How to synchronize two profiles in firefox, everything except localstore.rdf

Yesterday, I asked about the binding cache between two profiles in firefox:

    https://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/questions/925836

And I got to thinking. The only reason why I'm even a second profile is to have two 'places saved window' for purposes of multi-monitor. I want that these profiles to be EXACTLY the same except for the location in which they are open (which is registered in localstore.rdf). It occurred to me that with my current setup in the thread above, even if the caches are now linked... I still have to change twice bookmarks. Have two different stories, saved passwords, etc. A minor inconvenience at best, but it would still be nice to avoid.

As I said, I want these identical profiles, except for the locations in which they are open. I know there are extensions for synchronization of profiles, but they all seem to be 1 star performance that hinder the mess. I prefer to do it manually, as I did with the cache. Possible?

Found an answer myself, mklink. I delete the places.sqlite (the file where the bookmarks are saved) my 2nd monitor profile. I then go to CMD and create and MKLINK by running the following:

    MKLINK C:\Path\to\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\monitor2\places.sqlite C:\Path\to\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\default\places.sqlite

This creates a shortcut in my profile monitor2, redirecting to the profile folder of the monitor of my first for the file places.sqlite. TADA, the bookmarks are sync'd and the changes are saved to both directions. I developed this and created mklinks for formhistory.sqlite, cookies.sqlite and permissions.sqlite. Works perfectly and synchronizes both ways, as did places.sqlite.

  • Toshiba Bluetooth stack & motorcycle S805 two profiles - can use only one?

Toshiba Bluetooth stack on IBM T42/Windows 2000 test. Motorola S805/multimedia headset supports two audio A2DP stereo of high quality and HFP used as a helmet.

If I create * only * audio sink profile then I can log in and use the headphones (rather good sound!). If I create * only * a headset profile, then they work well for that, too (not very good sound, but convenient and two-way).

I am able to create two connection profiles by linking it first as an Audio receiver, then the pairing again as a helmet. The two profiles now appear in the Bluetooth settings window. First of all, I confirm that neither the profile is connected. Now when I try to 'connect' to the headset, it "sounds" the helmet. However, when I press the headset button to accept the connection I get the following message:
    "Now, connect, please wait."
    and then
"Helmets and headphones can not be used simultaneously. Finished using the headphones and then establish a connection.
Now the headset (audio receiver) is connected instead of the helmet!

Note that before I tried to connect to the headset there was no link at all (message is wrong). Also note that if there is only one connection profile (headset) then the headset will connect correctly.

I want to be able to move quickly from a helmet (good sound quality for music) and headset (for Skype). Deletion and recreation of the connections are too slow, if Skype sounds while I'm listening to music. (the S805 will automatically switch mode headphones while listening to the music, if the call is from a third device such as a cell phone).

Anyone know if the software can be configured to allow me to do this fast switching between profiles on the same device?

    Thank you and best regards,

    Jeff in Aloha, OR, USA.

You must use the hands-free profile if it is supported also by your device for VoIP instead of the headset profile!

  • ACS same username with two other group, two profiles of shell

    Hello

In my ACS 5.4 I want to have same useranme using two profiles of shell. This is the requirement.

Profile of a shell with privileges for admin peripheral IOS 15 and another with different privilege admin WCS. Because there may be two profiles of shell on the same profile authroization, I created two different profiles and correspondence with the name of the local group of ACS. However, whenever the user tries to access it always hits 1 profiles.

I'm not sure that I missing something, if someone has or knows how to do this please advise.

    Thank you

    Hello

What you can do is to create two authorization rules based on the ip address.

    Use two rules:

rule 1: If the ip address is wcs ip address then use WCS-Shell-profile

rul3 2: If the ip address of the device do not match the wcs ip address then use: other-Shell-profile

If you don't see the ip address in the rule options, you can always customize what options you want to compare from the button customize at the bottom right of the page.

  • Since the creation of two profiles, I can't automatically open files/links from outside firefox

I wanted to have Firefox 3.6 and Firefox 4.0 on my desk for purposes of test site Web. I made a 2nd profile and following a tutorial the value my firefox shortcuts:
    "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" PEI Firefox4-no-remote
    'C:\Program Files\\Mozilla Firefox3.6\firefox.exe' p - Firefox3-no-remote

(is there a way to do so that it starts automatically the right profile, instead of having me to select in the Profile Manager?)

Now, if I double click on an HTML file, I get an error from windows saying: "Windows cannot find not (filename). Make sure you typed the name correctly... »
And if I click on a link in outlook 2010, I get an error from firefox saying: "Firefox is already running but is not responding..." "(firefox is running, but according to the Manager of the tasks only once and that it responds normally I would say.)
"and from outlook, I get"General failure. the URL was (url here). The system cannot find the specified file. »

I'm guessing this has to do with it do not understand what profile choose? is there a way around this? (other than the definition of something else than Firefox as my default browser?)

Rising, I just installed everything on this system a day or two before, so I have nothing really invested in a facility of firefox and have no problem with destruction of the profiles, as I have no data other than a couple of days of browsing history and a few agifts, or what is important to me.

You cannot use the -no-remote control for your implicit profile / default browser.

It seems that your profile has become corrupted and Windows created this new one for you.

Take a look for your Documents

  • Binds two ISP ASA to remote VPN Client to connect to instead of creating two profiles on the remote client

    Hello

    just a quick,

    TOPOLOGY

    ASA isps1 - 197.1.1.1 - outside

    ASA ISP2 - 196.1.1.1 - backup

    LAN IP - 192.168.202.100 - inside

I have configured Tunnel on the interfaces (external and backup), but is to link both legs public to serve a thare as redundancy for vpn users and users of the vpn tunnel leave pointing inside IP whenever they want to establish vpn sssion, we want it to be one, so if an interface fails vpn users will not know , but he will try the second for the connection. instead of creating the profile for the two outside of the leg on the vpn client.

    is this possible?

    Hi Rammany.

In your case, you have only an ASA that connects with 2 ISP in another segment IP... 196.x.x.x (Link1) & 197.x.x.x (Link2). What your condition is you want to have the VPN client who must be consulted with backup. If 196.x.x.x link fails, it should automatically take 197.x.x.x link. That too we should not have the config set in the VPN client backup server. You don have the possibility of having standby active also in asa single.

I think n so it will work with your current design.

This option is if your VPN client supports host name resolution (DNS). You can have the VPN created for both the public IP address share the same host name keeping the bond as the primary address 1 and 2 a secondary address. It will work alone.

Hope someother experts in our forum can help you with that.

  • I have two profiles of Firefox. The default value is updated to the latest version. The second profile is version 3.6.25. I can not get the second profile to update to the latest version. How do I do that?

I don't have administrative authority on this computer, but it has never been a problem before with the update.

I don't have the chance to check this Monday. In the meantime, version 10 is out. I made sure that my default profile has been completely liquid and manually update the secondary profile, it closed and reopened and had the update. When I opened the default profile, there is not automatically updated but I was able to update without problem. I think I'll call it's good for now and see what happens the next time that we update. I always have our Manager to update the modules for me but because it is the only administrative authority. Thanks cor - el!

  • Have two profiles, we will not homepgage open and the other profile works as it should

User 2 can open hsbc.ca home and can not the user.  When he clicks on it, it opens all the graphics and seems ready to go but the timer is running and the bottom has the script "waiting for" and goes on the bottom forever.  I see the same script when user 2 is connected and open this Web page and it corresponds to what happens when the 1st user tries to open the page

scanned with MS security essentials and adaware, restarted pc and modem. emptied temporary files, etc. etc.

both using ie 8, the two can open other pages hsbc.ca such as the login page, but a user cannot open the home page of this Web site.

It just hangs there, no other funny glitches with other sites.  just this hsbc.ca

    Hello

I suggest to create a new user account and check.

    Here is the link:

How to create and configure user accounts in Windows XP
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/279783

Thank you very much for taking the time to answer.  It auto corrected himself and I think HSBC.ca made a few updates to security at the time and for some reason IE 8 just glitched for this desktop for some unexplained reason.  HSBC.ca said update to IE 9 technical support, but it is not an option, our Webmail program is not compatible with the 9.

They suggested using Firefox and it worked.  My laptop had some problems too in a day of my husband's office, I also use IE 8, but both are now able to open this homepage.  It had to be something at the end of HSBC security which now accepts IE8 again.  But it was great that it glitched, he made me clean his PC!

Cheers and thanks again for taking the time to help.

  • two profiles/levels of audio volume for headphones vs built-in speakers like Macbookpro

    Hi all

As in my macbook pro, can I make the computer don't forget the volume for headphones and speakers integrated levels?

Headphones: 10 volume, volume integrated speakers 25 etc. If I remove the headphones, the volume is expected to increase to 25 and when I put headphones, it should decrease by 10 new... ! is not necessarily 10 and 25, it's just to get an idea... !

Nevermind, it works like that already, cannot remove this question well.. !

  • Try to spend XP to W10. Tried to copy the content of the profile (IE not the profile itself) immediately after installation but no joy.

Try to get an old laptop XP to a new computer laptop of W10 thunderbird.
Located existing profile and backed up on external hard drive.
Thunderbird installed on W10 and before breakfast copied the contents of the old profile folder to the profile under AppData/Roaming/Thunderbird/Profiles/profile.default folder
Launch thunderbird and it does not recognize the profile, it is as if she is trying to set it up from scratch.
Then tried to create new profile and copying the contents of the old profile of XP, but it did not work.
Then looked at the Add-ons, but the lightning it is not present, so could not remove it.
    Any other suggestions?

    C:\Documents and Settings\Fraser\Local Settings\Application Data\Thunderbird\Profiles\elvh5ttl.dfault

This is not the path of the correct profile for XP.
Check this article and make sure that really copy you the profile folder.
    http://KB.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Thunderbird#Windows_2000_and_XP

I do not understand why you created a second profile. With two profiles, you must always be careful to start Thunderbird with the right profile.

  • I can't get Firefox on my MacBookPro, my user profile is not available. Help!

I got a message at the bottom of my screen telling me that my navigation could be faster if I "refreshed" Firefox, so I refreshed. I lost my favorites and a few other things (I forgot it would happen) and the thought restart my MacBookPro could receive a "restart". When it was time for Firefox restart, it said that I had two profiles, so I chose one of them... apparently not the right one. Firefox wouldn't load or install, and now I don't have it at all. I tried to uninstall Firefox (moving icons to the trash) and all over again with a brand new installation, as a new customer, but... now it says my user profile is not accessible and cannot be found. I dug this file to the trash and put it back on the desktop, but apparently it does not either. I don't know what to do. I NEED Firefox for my browser, even if I didn't have a bookmarks etc. I can redo those, find a new etc. I don't like using Safari, I miss my Firefox like crazy. ANY help or advice on how I can get back Firefox would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Katy

You must locate the profiles.ini file or use the Profile Manager to create a new profile.

    See:

This is usually caused by a problem with the file profiles.ini.

You can use one of them to reuse an existing profile or create a new default profile for Firefox:

    • Remove the profiles.ini file to force Firefox to create a new default profile
    • Use the Profile Manager to create a new profile
If you still have an existing profile, and then click "Choose a folder" in the MP and select the location of a lost profile and recover this profile.

You should find the file profiles.ini in this hidden place:

    • Windows: %AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\
      * C:\Users\ < user > \AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\
    • Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Firefox /.
    • Linux: ~/.mozilla/firefox/

If the file profiles.ini compensation does not work then also check the location of the cache files.

    • Windows: * C:\Users\ < user > < profile > \AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\.
    • Mac: ~/Library/Caches/Firefox/Profiles/
    • Linux:~/.cache/Mozilla/Firefox/
