typing jumping

As I'm typing a sentence, the cursor will jump in the sentence and start the next letter in the middle of another word.

The most common cause for this is an oversensitive touchpad.  As you type, your wrist will come too close to the touchpad and cause your cursor to jump around.  If you can't control your touchpad sensitivity in the Control Panel, it is an application that allows you to disable your touchpad while you type on the keyboard...   Try this app:

  • typing jumps and place random words

my keyboard skips when i typing. After 2 or 3 words that the text could be placed in a previous line or paragraph.

On a laptop, this can be caused by interference of the touchpad.

  • After the update to Vista, welcome screen is recycled to disconnect. Starts in Mode safe mode only.

After the last update, just slowed down, so I restarted my Dell Studio laptop. I noticed MsMpEng.exe was the biggest user of memory and still is. I lost the desktop configuration in mode without failure, as well as some sound themes, homepage, recent files, Windows security settings, etc. Internet Explorer re - starts NEW whenever it is open.  Typing jumps about. I rebooted and restored several times in Mode safe with no improvement except to return to items on the desktop. I lost all the restore points. Msconfig is the same as the previous (selective startup), without any news. I finally got Directory Services Restore Mode and disable UAC, but have still lost all my old settings and other features. Analysis of security shows no problem. I now can't change anything as the printer creation, probably because I don't have administrator privileges with UAC off the coast. Don't download FixIt. Is there something I can do? I used regedit before, but am not game to touch.

Thank you, Dena, I restarted factory and now everything is fine. He did take 5 days to fix but. Thus, you can close this point. Thanks for your comment. Phil

  • Problem with the bulleted text

I am new to InDesign and the suite CS4 and am having a problem with the flow of text in a bulleted list in a trifold brochure.

I work with a background image to EPS and in the bulleted text in a text box in one of the 'pages' text will be not as typed - jumps to the next line for some reason any. If I create a text box similar off the page I have no problem, and it lists as needed.

The first image is as it should be, and the next image is how it makes its appearance. Any attempt to change seems futile.

    Any ideas please?

Could there be a small invisible frame with applied at that time dress up there?

Select all to see if it presents itself, or access the properties of frame and select this option to ignore the text wrapping to see if skin everywhere make these round lines.

I wonder if this background image a dressing applied with a setting, detect the edges so that the part of the image is kicking back your text.

  • Qosmio G20: cursor jumps typing the letter

Hi everyone, my Qosmio G20 gives me headaches! When I try to type a letter or article suddenly the cursor jumps back lines and I find myself typing in the middle of a previous sentence. Then sometimes it just deletes a paragraph I just typed.
Any suggestions as to why? And more importantly on how to behave?
I would be happy to advice.

    Thank you.
    Ronnie

Yes, it's because of the touchpad. To disable and enter in peace, just press Fn + F9. This will temporarily disable the touchpad. When you are finished typing, press Fn + F9 again, it will re-enable the touchpad.

  • When I typed the fitbit ' "(!), my watch symbol can display color"swirl ". Now it jumps directly to the graphical version boring bar. Help!

When I typed the symbol "fitbit" my watch to view color "swirl". Now it jumps directly to the graphical version boring bar. Help!

    Hi Bevan

If you are referring to the application of the activity (rings icon), you can display a graphic (to move, Stand, or fiscal year) rather than the overview of three rings, which summarizes the progress of your day for all three goals.

Back to Overview: looking at the graph, make slide down once on the face of the watch, and then drag to the left until you reach the overview.

  • My laptop Dell Inspiron 1525... When typing, the cursor jumps around & inserts as I type

When you use the keyboard, the cursor will jump to another place in what I typed & insert here where it shouldn't.

    Hello

Check with the manufacturer of system support, documentation in line, or forums as there
probably are shortcut keys that enable and disable the touchpad functions.

Dell - disable or enable the touchpad by using the access key

Parameters for TouchPad located in the control panel - mouse (there may be several tabs with)
Entries of TouchPad) and some have a utility that loads in the Notification area near clock on
    at the bottom right.

    ==========================================

If necessary: (make sure that you have restarted at least once, if the above did not work)

Panel of configuration manager devices - mouse and pointing devices - Double click on the touch pad-
The driver tab - click on Update Driver (which is may not make anything like MS is far behind certifying)
(drivers), now right CLICK on the touchpad and UNINSTALL.

Then go to the USB and UNINSTALL ALL controllers except the category itself (all in
    It). RESET

This will refresh the driver for the TouchPad and battery USB. This does not prevent the touchpad
    of work.

The similar procedure on XP, Windows 7 and Vista is the same, except that we must
Clear the specific device if present.
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310575

Then go to the system manufacturer's website and get the latest touchpad drivers.

Download - SAVE - go to where you put it-click on - RUN AS ADMIN.

    ==========================================

This utility also allows to control the TouchPad:

    TouchFreeze

    I hope this helps.
