U2412M brightness always jumps to 100% after Pc reboot

Why is - what my new U2412M don't remember the brightness setting? When I restart the Pc (Windows 7 64-bit), the brightness is 100%. I use the DVI connection and the latest driver.

Peter.

There are DVI, VGA and Displayport and tried all the. But when I connected my monitor HP instead of Dell the problem was the same. Something happened when I plugged the printer Dell the first time and I reinstalled the Pc and now it works. I have not installed the Dell driver!

  • Re: Satellite L40-18 X PSL48E: brightness goes back to max after each reboot

    Hello

    I have Satellite L40-18 X, short model: PSL48E
bought with Vista, bios is version 1.70.

It is very annoying problem with the screen brightness control:
Whenever I restart the Vista operating system, the brightness is set up and I have to back to low light.

By the operating system into hibernation, there is no problem - brightness is fine as I leaved the same percentage.
The Fn + F6 and F7 keys to work properly, OS and BIOS - everywhere, but after I start the operating system, the brightness is at the highest level

Absolutely the SAME problem is in windows XP (with the same bios 1.70) - Fn keys work fine, but when the os starts - brightness is always at Max level, hibernating is OK.

    Can you give me suggestion?
Now, I don't want to make reflash the bios, because the site old version 1.60 for Vista, and I can't have the version of the mine.

    Appreciate any help :)

    Believe me, buddy!
This is not a bug of any other software problem.
Fact is that you can use different profiles in your Vista power options.

I assume you are using the standard profile that contains the parameters for the use of the laptop connected to the main power supply. To my knowledge, the display is set to max brightness for best performance

If you want to use different brightness you will need to create a new profile in the power options, and then you should change the settings
Then save it and set as standard, default, or what I want to say that this profile should always start

    Hope this helps

  • battery percentage jumps to 100 percent during charging and falls to 'real' percentage when disconnected

    Hello

I charge my new iphone 6s and I noticed that evertime I plugged my iphone on my macbook pro, as the battery percentage jumps to 100 percent. Then, when I unplug it, it jumps down to the 'real' percentage. IM currently draining the battery to make a new calibration to see if that fixes the problem. Any ideas on why this might be happening would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

Drain the battery could do more harm to the battery. Have you ever tried to force reboot the phone by holding down the button sleep and home for 10 seconds, until the Apple logo comes back again? You won't lose data by doing this, but it can cure a few glitches.

Implementation in the new device would be the next step after that, where force restart does not work.

  • I tried to upgrade to Firefox Ver 28, but after each reboot it always shows the version 27.0.1

I had been using Firefox Ver 26 and each time it restarts, there is a prompt to upgrade to version 28. I tried to install the upgrade and even after a reboot, continued the old version. Twelve, I uninstalled Firefox and installed new worm 27.0.1 when I check for the upgrade, it downloads a 15 MB file, but continues with worm 27.0.7 even after reboot. Am I missing something?

    1. Download the installer for the language you are interested in.

    2. Release of Firefox.
    3. Uninstall Firefox from the control panel. DO NOT tick the option on the deletion of your personal data and customizations.
    4. Run the installer downloaded previously.
  • Downloaded Windows 10. Yet, after each reboot, windows 7 restart... no windows 10?

    Original title: Windows 10

I have a laptop with windows 7 installed. I ran a few the applet to see if the laptop is eligible. He did, and I see the windows icon 10 appearing in the task bar. I click on it to get the upgrade and windows starts the download process. Then after it is downloaded double click on the file and it seems to be the installation. This seems to go to the end and I restarted several times when asked to do so.

Yet, after each reboot, windows 7 restart... no windows 10.

    Review:

    Retry the upgrade manually:

    Option 1:

    Download the media creation tool

Click with the right button on the MediaCreationTool.exe file and then click on run as administrator.

Note: How to check if you are downloaded or installed the update Windows 10 November

How to create an ISO or USB drive.

Select upgrade this PC now and then click Next

    Option 2:

    Task of pre-required

When you make significant changes to your computer for example updated operating system, you must always back up. See the links to resources on the backup by clicking the link for each version of Windows you are using: Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1

    then

    then

    • Turn off (preferably uninstall) your Antivirus utility before you perform the upgrade.
    • Reboot several times, and then try again.
    • Disable the general USB peripherals (for example - smart card reader).
    • If you are using a SCSI drive, make sure you have the drivers available for your storage on a thumdrive device and it is connected. During the installation of Windows 10, click on the advanced custom Option and use the command load driver to load the driver for the SCSI drive. If this does not work and the installer still fails, consider switching to an IDE based hard drive.
    • Perform a clean boot, restart, and then try again.
    • If you upgrade to the. ISO file, disconnect from the Internet during the installation, if you are connected in LAN (Ethernet) or wireless, disable both, then try to install.
    • If you are updated through Windows Update, when download reaches 100% disconnect from the LAN (Ethernet) Internet or Wi - Fi, then proceed with the installation.
    • If this does not work, try using the. ISO file to upgrade if possible.
    • If you are connected to a domain, go to a local account.
    • If you have an external equipment, attached to the machine, unplug them (example, game controllers, USB sticks, external hard drive, printers, peripherals not essential).
  • HP Pavilion M7 - WiFi lights not after a reboot. -Windows 8

Hi everyone, I just reinstalled Windows 8 and I am very frustrated with this little problem.

I downloaded the Realtek Wireless LAN driver from the HP website. I installed it. After installation, the WiFi works automatically. Now, after a reboot, the WiFi does not start upward. Everything is up-to-date, I checked in the Device Manager, and I even reinstalled the drivers. It does not just straight up. Everything on Windows said I need to physically turn it on.

Any help? I can't believe that I can't use the built-in WiFi. I currently use a LBS-Link USB WiFi adapter which worked well in all of his application since he came home.

    Squerl,

    Welcome to the forum.

First of all, you can try a Power Reset, which does NOT affect data on the disk.  The power / Hard Reset can help if the problem is in the pilot instructions that are stored in the computer's memory and persist to boot at startup.

    Resetting the forced feeding

Performing a Hard Reset or forced Reset

Power reset cannot tell the difference between drivers - it does not analyze a driver before applying.  It assumes that all the drivers on your computer belong there.

    EXAMPLE:

    • If the driver on the disk is the wrong driver before rebooting, it's always the wrong driver after the reset.
    • If the INSTRUCTIONS of the driver are tangled, messed up, or there are missing pieces of these instructions, the reset can solve the problem.

Why a power reset works to solve some problems:

The power reset does not install anything on your computer, it does not remove the programs on your computer and Reset does not change the settings on your computer.  Your data and programs remain as they were before the reset has been applied.  Reset runs old program of the memory instructions and forces the computer go to disk operating system for new instructions.

Why a power reset does not work:

If the problem is more than a simple tangle, if 'good job' on the computer is not good enough - in other words, you need an update, a new driver, or there is a problem that can not be "unraveled", then reset won't work.

If there is a hardware problem power reset will not work.

    ==============================================================================

Then, you can set the properties of the LAN driver to allow the driver to "wake up" the computer.   At the same time, you set the driver to NOT allow the computer to stop the driver.

    Windows key + X > M (opens Device Manager) > network adapters >

Right click of your wireless adapter > Properties > Power Management >

    Select as appropriate:

Clear the check BOX "Allow the computer to turn off this device...". »
CHECK 'Allow this device out computer' > *

    Ok

    * NOTE

Read the warning on the wireless driver performance while the notebook is on battery.

Remember that this setting CAN have side effects.

  • EA6500 do not save IP/changes of classes there after the reboot

    Hello

I'm trying to put up EA6500 with the latest firmware installed (1.1.28.147876). Under Local network - connectivity, I fixed router details (address IP/mask) and DHCP pool several times, you click on apply, received a message telling me how the router applies settings and this may take a few minutes. This is not fortunately, but after internal application of the network of these parameters has yet 192.168.1.0/24... It ends with a new random C class of the range 10.0.0.0/8. What the...?

I suspect changes router internal IP range after each reboot of the device. This behavior may not be normal... but more I read about the EA6500... is not the router. -Suggestions, I actually do something wrong here?

Oh - the EA6500 is configured to get internet via DHCP, it should get an IP address of 192.168.1.0/24 - modem works as a router also and there is no need of EA6500 make another PPPoE connection. As access to the network is concerned, it does not work. But I really don't like this changes to the internal network IP range...

Because it appears that you are trying to cascade LAN-to-Wan, the router is detecting a conflict of IP address and changing automatically within the 10.x.x.x range. It's normal. The EA6500 trying to tell you that you have not configured it correctly. So he had to resort to setting up itself.

If you want to change to the 192.168.x.x, then follow the instructions for editing cascading of a router linksys to another router below. Most of the people just change the local of the EA6500 to 192.168.2.1 IP address if they try LAN to Wan to a DSL modem/router in cascade. Change the DHCP of the EA6500 to 192.168.2.100 Beach - 149

    http://KB.Linksys.com/Linksys/UKP.aspx?pid=80&VW=1&articleid=3733

If you want to use your EA6500 as your main router, then you have to put your DSL modem/router in bridge mode and then change the type of Internet connection on the ea6500 in PPPoE.

  • Cannot connect to internet after a reboot before you uninstall and then reinstall the network card. (After the upgrade to Windows 7 from Vista)

This problem started immediately after the upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate (32 bit) to Windows Vista Ultimate (32 bit).  Again, I want to remind that I never had this problem before installing Windows 7.

-After a reboot, I am presented with the impossible to connect the network indicator (yellow triangle with!) in the task bar.  (It was how I was welcomed after the installation of Windows 7 is said by the way).

-The only way I found to regain connectivity is to uninstall and reinstall the network via the device manager card, date at which the computer always successfully connects and remains connected until the next reboot.

    Hello
Thanks for posting your query on the Microsoft Community.

As you mentioned that your HP desktop computer is not able to start after a reboot.

I would first disconnect the backup / external drive and check if you are able to start or not.

I suggest to go to the BIOS and boot sequence and select the internal hard drive as first boot device.

NOTE: BIOS change / complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Setting changes are made at your own risk.

If the problem persists. I suggest that get you in touch with HP support in order to solve this problem.
