U3011, gray spot

A task gray / stripe appeared recently on my U3011.  Unfortunately for me, it bought 3.5 years ago and therefore more under warranty.  Anyone know if this a repairable defect?  Considering how much these things cost, so my only option is to ignore it or buy a new monitor, it is unlikely that I will buy Dell again. Here is the picture of one of the self test screens.  Light blue (sky, for example), it is unfortunately very sensitive. I tried contacted Dell support, and the guy that I was talking to was convinced that it was dead, pixels even if it does not show with a bright white background.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you.

This is the default of yogore / mura. All we would do is Exchange it under the purchased warranty period.

Brown spots or stains may appear occasionally on some LCDs. This clouding phenomenon is recognized in the industry as yogore or mura. A Japanese term for "irregularities." This term is used to describe a low, irregular contrast or a region which causes the uniformity uneven screen under certain conditions. Mura is a result of the deterioration of the layer of consistency of the liquid crystal (LC). most often caused by the effect in the long term under a high ambient temperature. It is a phenomenon of great industry and mura is not repairable. Mura has been around since the introduction of LCD technology. LCD screens are getting bigger, touch monitors generally work 24/7 and we enjoy more content now in low light conditions. All of these factors adds the possibility of mura affecting screens. Generally, the appearance of mura can be minimized by the following methods:
* Lower the brightness of the backlight
* Use a screen saver
Reduce the ambient temperature around the unit

Is that an iPhone 5? If so, you may have a battery of swelling which pushes the screen and that may have caused damage to the screen.

  • s7 Acer problems

Hello. I recently bought an acer s7 - 391 and I encounter the following issues:

    1. I have changes in contrast when I slide hollow different applications. for example, when I open the music application, the background looks like it's moving, it wobbles, and the quality of the screen becomes very bad... However, colors appear very high. If I come back at the beginning, the quality begins to seem good again, in about ten seconds. What could be? I've updated the graphics card driver later. nothing.

    2. the trackpad is all bad. When I move the cursor on the diagonal, it is not moving directly, but looks like it's the theater of the waves, some forms of "s". ...

    3. the screen has gray spots in the lower corners. It also loses little light...

    4. my keyboard part 2 shots when I press some keys. I type too slowly and as carefully as I can, but it still doesn't work.

I think I'll go into service with her. did anyone experienced the same problems that I did?

    Thank you!

  • Please help with a technical problem 2209WA

    Hello

I own a model 2209WA monitor. She was purchased in March 2010.

Recently, I found that there was a visible gray streak in the center of the screen and ran a diagnostic test as described on the forum.

I was not able to reproduce the problem on STFC, but on FPDBIST I found that the streak was no longer a gray spot on the left center of the screen on a gray background.

I would definitely solve the problem because the problem is obvious enough to distract you. If not repairable by myself, I would ask for a warranty replacement, but I can't try to find the State of the order associated with my account, because it doesn't show any order beyond two years in the past, and I understand that the monitor had initially warranty period of three years. If there is any way I can get a copy of the draft of the order or shipping confirmation that I would be very grateful.

As a result, more information on the monitor:

Number of series PPID, monitor numbers 20 = CN-0H736H-72872-01 a-1R4L
Monitor tested ports = DVI, VGA
Video card and ports tested = AMD 4870, AMD 7950, DVI and VGA
PC = generation model customized Intel X 79
    Operating system = Windows 7 Pro 64-bit
Have you updated the video card driver? Yes, tested with catalyst Beta 12.11, 12.6 Legacy
The monitor has been listed on the Device Manager

Once more, any help in this matter is greatly appreciated.

Oh shit, or do I just go back to the other catalog yesterday and do what means CCPASM?

Yes. The issue is NOT with your original LR catalog. Just to reopen this catalogue and forget about using the new catalog.

As explained by cppasm you have changed somehow lenses of the develop module adjustments > color > settings fringe sum of their default values of 0. You can put back them to 0 the an image file and then synchronize just "Chromatic Aberration" to all other files affected as below:

Here are the instructions on the use of the tool of fringe if that's what you were trying to do:

  • How can I get a CMYK or Gray scale halftone and replace it with a spot color with the same value of midtones?

Is it possible that I can select an object or objects that have a value of mixed CMYK or Grayscale, and then select a Spot color and it will keep the same value of midtones as before?

For example, I have an object that is C: 0 M: 0 Y: 0 k: 20 and I select Reflex Blue. What is happening is it change my object to 100% Reflex Blue. Is there a way to change to automaitically Reflex Blue 20%?

Another example, I have 3 objects, one is 20 k: the second is 40 k: and the third is KC: 85. I want to select all the objects in three at the same time, select Yellow PANTONE and get them to change yellow PANTONE 20, 40 yellow PANTONE and PANTONE yellow 85.

Is there a way to do it or I will always have to manually edit each element?

    Thanks for the help.

    Select the elements to recolor

Edit > edit colors > redefine > follow my screenshots

I love clicking this button under the entitlement, one place for everything that you color reduction settings.

Use tinted scale. Exact will give you 100% of the color. The exact word is confusing here, this means that the color of the destination (100% of everything that the color you choose), not a version tinged scale.

Unfortunately I do not know how to get the exact values of blacks to convert the exact values of spot color. Scale of hues will you get you get you close enough for what you need. In my example that a black 89% converts a 84% of the place, so no exact but alteast I have a range of shades, and sometimes the results are better than accurate, depends on your art.

Here are my before and after.

  • U3011 stains or dirt

Brown spots or stains appears on u3011 30 inch screen when it is on and warmed for half an hour. The spots began to appear after two years of use without warning. They appear in self-diagnosis mode too and are more visible in the areas of gray or colors. I was wondering if this sort of fault is usually covered by the warranty and the monitor can be replaced?

    marsilainen,

As you see the questions on the self-diagnosis mode, it can be replaced if still under warranty. Most monitors carry a warranty of 3 years from the date of invoice. You should be able to come here and insert the service U3011 number to check the warranty end date.
