Cannot change Spot color to process color in the swatch - Grayed Out properties

Hello: I'm changing a spot to treat the color in the options of nuance for the printing of the newspaper. It's in a logo, a client send me make an announcement. When I try to do, the options to change the color type and the name of the color in the swatch options are grayed out. No idea why this could happened?

Nevermind, I figured out. I tried to change the option of swatch spot which is in a file, linked. When I integrate the file, or open the original and paste it into the work, then I can change the shade of Spot process options.

  • Cannot change multiple colors for the life of me

    Hi there-

I'm VERY new to photoshop and have tried to change just two colors in this stupid picture now for about five days. I know it is rudimentary, probably for most users.

I have searched extensively online and experienced the replacement color and adaptation to "replace color" tool under the image.  I'll try to join the front and the picture after I was able to come up with.

Essentially, I want to just replace the red and green to orange and black.  Orange I have is a very specific pantone (I have numbers, RGB and CMYK that I would use).  If possible, I would like to keep the shading... I think that's the biggest problem.  The colors are not uniform.

Anyway, if it will take me a lot of time it's fine, I just don't know how to do and have all the edges and look to correct shading.  I can't find an online tutorial that shows even how to clean an image after you change its color to make it look professional.  I'm going nuts.  It is a job application and if you know how to do this and can help me - thank you!  Help!uranium_explosion1_original.jpguranium_explosion1_black and orange.jpg

With a hue adjustment layer you can easily change the colors on this image while maintaining the shadows. I selected Greens on the menu drop down and move the brightness slider to the left.  Then, I selected the Reds and moved the Tint slider to get an orange tint.  Finally, I added a levels adjustment layer to increase the contrast.  I know, however, how to obtain the specific orange hue you want. I look forward to reading more specific solutions.

  • Find the spot colors in the document

I prepare a document for printing, and when I go to the package for output I get a message that there are a handful of spot colors in addition to the CMYK. Is it possible I can get InDesign to show me where in my document these tones are? (There are many graphics placed in many pages) I can't seem to find a 'show' or 'page number' for these colors. In addition, if the CMYK symbol appears to the right of the point of color in the Panel swatched, am I good as went to press?

Maybe the satest to see where the spot colors are in use is to open the Activ separations and separations Preview Panel, and then click the eyeball next to CMYK. Everything left on the page is your direct. If you do not see a spot color in the Panel, there are none in use.

You asked if it was safe to go to print with stains, and the answer is that it depends. Are paying you extra for the spot colors? If this isn't the case, Swatches Panel flyout menu choose Manager of inks, then check the box to convert all Spots to process and for the best conversion to any known color space, check the box to use the Lab values as well. Don't know what you mean by seeing the CMYK symbol to the right of the swatch - which means that it is not RGB, but there are two small icons there and the one on the left will tell you if the color is spot on, but neither one will tell you if it is transposed to the process in the ink Manager.

    There is no all.

Illustrator and MS-Office share not all the graphics features of construction at the file level. There is no universal edit-ability between the two.

.. which is the best export (eps, emf, or svg), then insert a vector file into PowerPoint?

If your Illustrator illustration is vector of 100% and contains no live effects, complex gradients, blends, etc., the first thing to try is copy > paste special > enhanced metafile.

Otherwise, SPE may work, or you can use the pixelation in PNG. Personally, I do not consider export raster format Illustrator to be a stable workflow method, so I'd be inclined to use Photoshop as an intermediate step: Illustrator > Save As PDF > open in Photoshop > save in PNG. Just my preference.

  • reversed spot colors on the screen

When I export PDFs from indesign cs4 on a windows vista machine spot colors in the pdf file (text alive and vector files in any format) seem to be reversed on the screen.

I export with the 'high quality' preset and the preset "quality of the press." If I export with other presets colors appear on the screen perfectly. However, other presets are standards that do not spot export.

print .ps and aid to distill sometimes takes care of the issue, but are a pain in the work around end to end.

If it was just me I could care less, because I know that the files will display properly. Customers see this and want to know why 872 Golden looks blue.

If I feel, colors appear very well. If I to ' advanced > print > overview of the output "and select only the spot colors in the file, while I'm in the output preview mode, the colors are fine. If I highlight and select text/vectors with the arrow tool the colors invert to the appropriate color.

It's as if everything is highlighted with the default pointer tool. This happens more with pms solid coated reflex blue, pms 072 solid coating and various metallic pantone. I can provide examples if necessary. No guarantee that it will appear on your screen as it looks good. I use default color profiles. It is a really aggravating question.

    example:

    TVk https://docs.Google.com/leaf?ID=0B86QzBSvaK5wODBlYjQ2ZWUtYzEzOC00ZjQ1LTk3NDktNzAxMjRjMGE2N & hl = en

I think the default setting for overview of overprinting in Acrobat must be turned on for PDF / X, so export to one of the PDF / X presets could do the trick.

Say your boss silly that it'S broken, that's why they issued all patches to fix bugs.

  • Coloring a font with a RGB, etc. without adding color in the swatch of the document.

Is it possible to color a font with a RGB, Lab, or CMYK color without adding color in the swatch of the document.

The only way I know is to add a color to the color chart or use an existing one.

    as

    App.Selection [0]. Characters [0]. FillColor = document. Colors.Add ({colorValue: 255, 53 (160) and space: ColorSpace.RGB}) ;}

As a side effect to clutter up shades using many colors.

    any ideas?

    Hello Uwe!

After 03:00 by me 02:00 by you

I tried the link and it download but I have cs5 cs6 and cc but not cs5.5 and all the scripts worked on them can due to the conversion of files.

It seems therefore that the following summary is all is correct

    New documents contain some

Color chart (black, registration, paper and none) the index order is the order in which shades appear in the swatches Panel

And the colors in the order of the alphabetical index

named colors without name last and then 'A', 'Z' first color.

Color documents News-[1] will be a color without a name that can be duplicated to produce other colors without name, noting that duplication should be processes and not the tones.

So far so good, (not for long)

Unnamed colors are not read only so if we make a positive effort to remove, we can do that.

    while (app.activeDocument.colors[-1].name == "") app.activeDocument.colors[-1].remove()

Now, we will not have any what swatches without a name to duplicate and will have to use the method of file text marked with John at number 3 above.

If there is no shade no name and we try to replicate the colors [-1] and it's a color as 'Yellow', then it seems s indesign crash.

In any case the method below should always work (for regular non-dyed colours etc.).

Yes, sorry, I did not it was version 10.  I have 9 and 11.

In version 9, you would choose full-time on the upper right corner of the Edit interface.

In version 11, you would choose Expert at the top center of the interface.

  • Opacity value of value of hue change spot color

Does anyone know a script to change all spot color objects that have an opacity value of the corresponding value of the color of the spot color? Could also be to treat the colors, global or not - but the key is to work.

If an object uses a spot color that is to say 13% opacity, then it must be on opacity 100% and the value of 13% spot color tint. If an object has been 75% opacity, then it must be set to the hue of 75% to 100% opacity etc. Throughout the tonal range for all objects.

It would be nice if the blending mode of the spot color has been set to normal if it was something else (obscure, product etc.). I guess it would be great if there was an option to set the object for a collection if the blending mode used was darken or multiply, but this is the icing on the cake. Essence is the opacity value of spot object of the value of spot color mapping and setting the opacity to 100%.

I would have thought it would be a problem quite common in packaging prepress, however I had no success in the search for such a script.

    Here's a more complete script.

  • How can I get a CMYK or Gray scale halftone and replace it with a spot color with the same value of midtones?

Is it possible that I can select an object or objects that have a value of mixed CMYK or Grayscale, and then select a Spot color and it will keep the same value of midtones as before?

For example, I have an object that is C: 0 M: 0 Y: 0 k: 20 and I select Reflex Blue. What is happening is it change my object to 100% Reflex Blue. Is there a way to change to automaitically Reflex Blue 20%?

Another example, I have 3 objects, one is 20 k: the second is 40 k: and the third is KC: 85. I want to select all the objects in three at the same time, select Yellow PANTONE and get them to change yellow PANTONE 20, 40 yellow PANTONE and PANTONE yellow 85.

Is there a way to do it or I will always have to manually edit each element?

    Thanks for the help.

I love clicking this button under the entitlement, one place for everything that you color reduction settings.

Use tinted scale. Exact will give you 100% of the color. The exact word is confusing here, this means that the color of the destination (100% of everything that the color you choose), not a version tinged scale.

Unfortunately I do not know how to get the exact values of blacks to convert the exact values of spot color. Scale of hues will you get you get you close enough for what you need. In my example that a black 89% converts a 84% of the place, so no exact but alteast I have a range of shades, and sometimes the results are better than accurate, depends on your art.

  • Spot color in the file Illustrator does not appear in InDesign in the Swatches palette or the ink Manager.

I've seen a lot of questions about spot, but I have yet to see of it. I have a file in illustrator with a spot inside. When I do sub to any new file InDesign color task appears as it should. But we have an old file that has probably been on worked great in the past, and in this file, it appears anywhere I looked in ink under the PES Preview Panel, the swatches Panel Manager, and nowhere this color appears.
