Ubiquiti Nanostation M5: Wifi extender of bandwidth

Hello
Please please I want to use only Uniquiti Nanostation M5 to extend the bandwidth of my wifi to broadband at home. How can I go about it? My router D-link Dir 803 moves on only 8 meters, and I want to use Ubiquiti Nanostation M5 to increase.
NOTE: I WANT to USE ONLY a UBIQUITI NANOSTATION M5, I already bought.
Thank you.
Richperry

Hello

I don't think it's a product of HP. It should come with a manual or at least a book which shows you how to implement. Please try:

  • question of WAP wifi extender 300n

    Hello

I have a WAP 300N that I put in place to be a WIFI extender to my wireless router.  Two questions:

    1. can I connect the Extender to the router directly?

    2. is it an advantage?

    Thanks for your help.

    HarryBB

Hi harrybb, if you set the WAP300N as a Wireless Range Extender, you better do not connect cable to the router. The advantage when you do this, it's you will get an excellent signal strength and speed. How to do this? Simply place the WAP300N to a place where you get a slow signal then bar, connect your wireless devices.

  • M177fw does not connect if the WiFi extender is activated

    Main WiFi router's CISCO E4200

    WiFi Extender is TP-LINK TL-WPA4220

Printer is HP LaserJet MFP M177fw Pro

    Date of the firmware: 20130823

Install Smart SW Version: 20/06/2013 1.0.13171.352

Printer is in the same room as the CISCO router.  Extender is located in another part of the House.  Extension signal is low near the printer.  The Extender is turned off, the printer immediately connects to the WiFI network.  When the extension is enabled, the printer tries to connect several times and fails.  All computer iPhone, iPad, laptop and smart TV in room normally works with the CISCO and extension under voltage, but the HP printer does not work.  Is there something I can do to fix this?

This has always been a problem with 2 AP make sure the router and the Extender are on different channels, like 1 & 6, 6 & 11, 1 & 11.   Where is the printer, set this AP to channel 1.  Try now.

  • Can I add a 2nd or 3rd wifi extender to my router?

I have the old Airport Extreme as my main router and an Airport Express station as my wifi Wireless extender. I want to add another wireless Extender in another part of my house. Is this possible? Extenders of different companies work with my Apple products like the Netgear N300 Wireless Range Extender model EX2700.

Where can I find detailed instructions on creating a NEW Airport router (as if I never had a notch upward for the first time. I might decide to start over with a more recent version) and then add wifi wireless Extender?

Also, if I buy the last Airport router to hard wire from my computer, can I use the older Airport extreme and Airport express as Extender?

If you do not replace the router by, say, a Netgear router, you cannot use the desired third-party Extenders. You're better off with more Airport Express to extend your network compatible with the Airport Extreme router.

  • express problem airport works as a wired wifi Extender

I have TW cable for internet in bridge mode and not as a DHCP server.  This is directly related to the port WAN to a time capsule extreme Airport (1-2 years).  The time capsule has a link to 16 port 10/100 netgear switch to one of the LAN ports.  About 3 weeks ago, I added 2 new Airport Express to expand the wifi of my very large House.  I ran the hard lines to the Airport Express as well.  Each express is set to bridge mode and just to extend the wifi network.  The extreme time capsule is the DHCP server.  Everything works fine as long as the couple declares itself to the extreme to the wifi, but this does not solve my problems of scope and speed on the other side of the House that expresses it is installed to cover.

Problem: When it expresses the airport is not connected I get a ping void 5ms from a computer on the local network to express it and extreme.  Once I Plug one of them in the cable system my time to ping for all devices are very erratic.  From time to time they are in the range 1-10ms, but more often they are in the range of 1-2 seconds and exhale.  Once, I disconnect or hard of the line time to ping back to normal within 5 seconds.

Troubleshooting attempted so far: even once, I connected one or the other of expresses it to the hard line the problem occurs.  Disconnect it and connect the other the same thing.  Connect them directly to the Airport extreme still same thing.  Connect the express directly to a PC and run ping test, void 1ms response times and no change for the rest of the devices.  Ethernet connected to the WAN port of expresses it instead of the LAN port same question.  Repunched and re made the end of the cable used to one of them, same problem.  Called Apple and they told me it should work, and provided with additional troubleshooting.

Firmware on all the devices have been updated about 3 weeks after I got them stable on wifi.  Unfortunately I do not have the written down version, but they are all on the same version now.  All devices have a green light on them when just using wifi to talk to the extreme.  When wired in airport utility devices drop the GUI are available intermittently and back.

Whats to test I can think of to the left: replace the extreme airport time capsule.  Replace expresses it.  Wipe off the network completely and start over from scratch with a factory reset complete.

Any help would be appreciated, I am amazed as to why it does not work.

Each express is set to bridge mode and just to extend the wifi network.

And this... extend the WiFi network... is the problem.  When the Express is configured to "extend a wireless network", it waits a connection without wire of the main router. When an Ethernet signal is applied, this translates a huge feedback loop blocking, network.

Start over and do a hard reset on each of the AirPort Express devices

Then for the Setup, use a short piece of spare Ethernet cable... any length will do... and plug it between a LAN port <>- on AirPort Extreme on the "O" WAN port on the AirPort Express Terminal

Don't forget to make the Ethernet connection before you try to implement the Express. In this way, the "Wizard" will pick up the Ethernet connection and apply the correct settings for the Express installation.

Use "Wizard" Apple's Installation in AirPort Utility to configure things. When you do so, you will notice that the final configuration screen will indicate that the AirPort Express is set up to "extend with Ethernet', who must confirm that the correct settings apply to the Express.

The first Express is now properly configured. It turned off and move it to the remote location where it is needed. If your Ethernet cables and the Ethernet switch works correctly, so too the Express will work properly.

Implement the second Express exactly the same way as the first, except him give a different device... as Express2 name, for example... to keep things straight.

  • a WiFi extender

I currently use an Airport Extreme as my router.  I want to expand my network and am debating between a second Airport Extreme or using an Airport Express station.  Does anyone have recommendations between the extreme and the Express?

Although the Express will certainly work, extreme would potentially provide better performance overall bandwidth on the Express. If it is not essential for you, then the Express may be the less expensive option. Also note that the latest version of the Express provides that 802.11n.

  • For iMac and Macbook air wifi Extender

I have a desktop computer of iMac 21.5 2010 that has a wifi router internal so that I can connect to my ISP of my 2011 Macbook Air 11 '' in the bathroom, just downstairs, and another room in almost 20 m further down. However, I fear that my connection on my Macbook Air speed decreases considerable distance increases my iMac. Actually in my studio which is attached to the back of my garage and about 30 m from the iMac I don't get any wifi signal at all. I wonder what the best solution is to increase the strength of the wifi in the House and outdoors workshop.

My iMac is connected to an ipstar modem that receives my broadband connection to a satellite dish on my garage wall. Connection wireless or ADSL broadband is not available in our location away from the New Zealand.

I'd appreciate any help that anyone can give me.

    See you soon

The concern is with the latter: access to the iMac through the modem connection.

  • WiFi extender Setup

Set up the Extender and it works very well on the 2.4 GHz band, BUT can't make it work on the 5 GHz band.

I have an AT & T ARRIS NVG589 router. Any suggestions on how I can get the 5 GHz band to work?

It is a relatively new router provided by AT & T.

    Hello shpnnanner

It seems that the modem supports 2.4 ghz from what I could find online that is why the 5 GHz range does not work.

  • How to extend wifi?

    Hello

I just installed the Netgear wifi extender (EX6120) according to the instructions. When I have the Extender in the same room as the router, it works well. All 4 green lights. But when I place the Extender down about 3-4 meters from the router the routerlamp lights up red. The other 3 lamps light green but when I test the computer the wifi signal is as low as it is without the Extender. I placed the Extender on the floor in another room 2-3 meters from the router and all the green lights. I can't get the router lamp light orange. Please inform me how to get the best signal at the bottom.

    Hello LasseBI

You can change the channel on your router wireless to find the best signal for your home. You can also to factory reset the Extender, and then perform the installation again in the place where you want the Extender to be.

  • Extend the reach of the WIFI

I replaced a WRT54G with an EA6350. The new router is not broadcasting as much as the older one (very disappointed in the new).

The router and modem are in my basement. I do not for the moment need WIFI in the basement, but make the first floor of my house. I have the rooms of the first floor wired Ethernet to a second router in a middle piece is no problwm.

I can either keep the EA6350 down and lay with the WRT54G upstairs. I would have limited wireless-N I have now and would use my extension of G wireless for ROKU only, as I'd rather my other devices on N I have broadcast wifi under different SSDIs.

Or I can put the Wrt54G downstainrs, turn off wifi and use it as a router port ehternet upstairs where the EA6350 becomes the WIFI extender for all devices.

What I lose something by the second configuration? In light of my concerns, the second installation makes more sense, or does not use the EA6350 as the compromised router my PC attached ethernet?

Hey, sláinte. You can follow the second configuration in which the WRT54G will be used as the main router downstairs (basement), and the EA6350 will be placed on the 1st floor. If the signal of the EA6350 wireless needs a few improvements, you can try to change the settings of the channel on it and see how it goes. Don't worry about compromising the attached ethernet PCs as they should still work properly. You can check this link for some ideas on how 2 Linksys routers can be configured.
