• connecting to a unix Server?

  Given that "ASP was cremated a few years ago" (thanks for the tip, Murray - I do not have the memo ) I think to change course on a site I was again and again really using php.  My problem is that the current hosting plan does not support php or mySql.  I'm not too sure if my WebAssit extensions (which are two years and purchased using asp) will work with php either.

  I can create php pages in DW, but I think that to start testing this, I'll need a mySql DSN for them to connect to, resident on a * nix somewhere server.  I don't really want to buy a hosting plan unix until I need it I'm looking at maybe something to set up on an old computer and then connects to it with Dreamweaver.

  My question is, is the best way to approach the question of putting up a site of dev on a * nix Server (or at least a mySql DSN on that) and then connect remotely on my computer Windows-based site?   Are there reasons I or don't want to develop the entire site on a * nix server and publish it to the top when I'm ready?

  I'm just brainstorming here so if anyone has ideas or suggestions, I would be happy.  I'm a little over my head (once again!).

  Many Windows servers support PHP and MySQL.  I do not use Windows simply because there is * some * differences in the way * some * commands work under Windows from * nix.

  ASP extensions produce ASP VBScript code in your pages, not PHP.

  So I'm looking at maybe something to set up on an old computer and then connects to it with Dreamweaver.

  I think it's a beautiful idea.  My local test server is exactly that - a box running Ubuntu, Apache2, PHP and MySQL.  It works very well.

  I installed the Log Insight 2.5 VM via vCenter Server ESXi 5, 5. I was able to deploy the virtual computer successfully and you can see the network through VAPP Options settings. (Attached picture - TIME settings).

  Unable to access LI web Interface. While trying to access the Web interface, I get 'Apache2 Ubuntu by default Page' (img attachment). Insight of the newspaper runs and opens the web application on port 80.

  I believe that you with the configuration, but I tell you that the configured IP address and the IP you hit in your browser are not still the same IP, Log Insight does not work on Ubuntu, so you hit another system. To prove this, connect you to the console of the Insight newspaper and run:

  Nano is a text editor. You go to the line that you want to remove the # and remove the #. Then save the file.

  I tried the Java 7 update to Java 8 because of the safety block Firefox did the plugin Java 7 - However, even after I deleted libnpjp2.so(as root) in order to update the plugin and make a new hard link to the 8 libnpjp2.soJava, he always tells me that I use a version of Java insercure and even if I click on 'Allow and Remember' or "Now allow" the Java applet shows me nothing but a White Plains region when the applet has been, (see attachments).   I checked the url of the home page in Firefox and it has been set at startpage.com, but then when I looked at the default programs in Ubuntu, I noticed that the default program for the web had been unintentionally configured to use a .desktop file that leads to t he admin for my Web site login page.

  I changed this back to Firefox and the problem was solved.

  If you have already created a profile on the computer of Win10 that you can start with point 4.
  Note, a profile is created automatically, if there are no Thunderbird.

  I think the best way is to export address books needed of the LDIF files on the first machine and import the LDIF files on the second machine.

  Alternatively, you can copy the files from *.mab data from one machine to the other. Two default address books are represented by abook.mab and history.mab and can be simply copied. Other user-defined address books will be designated as abook1.mab etc. and will have to be imported. I'd say MoreColumnsForAddressBook for this task.
