UK database technologies ltd a scam?

Had an experience that feels bad. This company claimed to check my network and add antivirus software and performed a clean upwards. Cannot find anything on my mac other than a large beak. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thank you

It's a scam.

  • Which magazines, blogs and sites to read from database technology

    Hi all

I don't know if this is the right place to post this. Please feel free to move it to the right place. As you know, being in the business database (and in general) we required and should be aware of and have knowledge of the latest technology related to our profession. I wanted to know what are some magazines, blogs, websites, etc. that all recommend you for a professional database to maintain knowledge?

    Thank you very much

I find that aggregators are largely a waste of time - they tend to stuff themselves with everything that happens, so it is difficult to find something worth reading.

It's true, sometimes much too true, but I find that a casual glance at them can find a nugget that otherwise might never have you noticed when being too focused on your current favorites. I like http://www.ora600.be/aggregator, although the formatting may be a bit dodgy, I just scroll and click on "original article" if it sounds interesting.

A general problem with blogs is that they encourage polarization increased - everyone gets a positive feedback on their vision of the world, in order to become more convinced that it is correct. In some cases (like you, Charles, Kerry, Tom, Cary and blogrolls associated with), it may be a good thing, but the general case is that it is not (like all the sites that rip content, braindumps, composers and the rest of the blog world).

Can someone point me in the right direction? I googled and searched, but can't seem to get anywhere.

I use dreamweaver cs4 and spry menu to create a dynamically created menu system. My concept is to fill the menu items on the fly using MS sql server as database technology.

    Basically

    1. create a dynamic XML files containing data from the database
    2. create a SpryXMLDataSet
    3. create a SpryRegion when the menu is displayed
    4. using SpryRepeat fill the menu

  • compression of database with booty

    Dear beekeepers,

in a white paper of Oracle since February 2010 "Oracle Beehive: has '.
Flexible Collaboration for the enterprise platform"
    We read:

Oracle Beehive inherits advanced database technology such as
compression and partitioning to optimize the storage of databases and
    effectiveness of your collaboration repository.

'compression and partitioning' are mentioned in one breath here.

I know information about hive said licenses that restricted
partitioning Oracle license is included in the server of the hive, which
    on the compression option?

The question is important, because administrative procedures would greatly
benefit to reduce the footprint of db storage: first
the cloning procedures required to perform a data recovery would benefit
(we know that recovery is often accompanied by the time pressure: good)
"When you respond in two hours instead of four...). In the
absense of more intelligent recovery procedures, should not be the Oracle
limited use license to the advanced compression option, too?

    Notice of welcome...

  • Satellite A100-680: PnP BIOS Extension missing driver

I searched for about one hour now, other threads from reading and the search manually through the database of the driver, but I can't find any useful information.

As you can see from the following screenshot...
    ... I am missing a driver.

I'm sure that the driver is listed, but it can also be saved under another name. This isn't something I'm infamiliar of searched a lot on other sites (Acer, HP, etc.) for drivers of other computers in my work.

    Anyway.
The reason why this driver is missing on my * Satellite A100-680 * is that my antivirus detects it as a keylogger. This is not the first time that this happens, and I can easilly restore virus vault if I want to. However, this is something I really wish to do.

This problem also occurred with some of my audio drivers earlier, as well as the driver associated with TOSHIBA Hotkey functions. (Solved).

In order to check for me if my antivirus detects a false positive or not, I would like to find the driver and install it.
If after this my antivirus detects it as a keylogger, it was just all along.
If it detects it as a keylogger, I treat the result as a false positive and add it to the white list.

My Toshiba is a Satellite A100-680, running Win XP Home edition.
The version of the BIOS is "Phoenix Technologies LTD. 1.70, 11.05.2006" (from msinfo) (whether this info is helpful at all is beyond me...)
    SMBIOS version 2.31 (new msinfo.)

If you need additional information in order to help me, please indicate what information you need.

Have you tried to remove this device in the Device Manager list and restart the laptop?
Try this! After restarting again the operating system must search for the driver and must be reinstalled this device automatically.

By the way: Satellite A100-680 belongs to the PSAA9E series.
The European driver Toshiba page provides up-to-date BIOS 6, 00 - WIN for this device
Recommends the installation of the Modules common to XP and BIOS update.

It would be possible that the reason that your registry database seems to zero after the reboot is your antiviral is preventing to be changed when you update your drivers.  but this is only an idea unproven, but a possibility.

in all cases, try to do a restore point for today / now.  This will take a snapshot of the current state of the system.

Then, see if you can restore your computer state before the update that would have saved the drivers work and functional setup for your speaker system.

my suggestion is to run a system via safe mode restore it if the anti viral theory is true, that it will not impede the process of restoring system in safe mode.

No sound cannot get the data of a datafile (.dbf)... You must have the entire database (all file/.ctl .dbf files .log files) to get the data of this... or

file .dmp generated by oracle 9i but you nned to create a database, then you can use the import utility to import the .dmp file...

Thanks, but that didn't work. After this announcement, I discovered that happening only with links to bookmark. I did a full uninstall/reinstall and that he has not solved. I also tried to delete bookmarks and adding them again (via export, and then import them) and still had the same problem. However, when I deleted all bookmarks and then manually bookmarked sites again once, the problem seems to be solved. Way pretty crappy to have to fix it. I'll let you know if it happens again. Thanks for the quick response.

  • Satellite A200 - black screen of death

    Hi all

I have a Satellite A200 PSAFCA-01K00J model. This model, I bought Harvey Norman in Australia, but I can't find any registration on the web site of current Toshiba or abandoned. This sux because I am looking for any bios updates available to address a recent black screen problem.

The first time this has happened that I was able to reboot after removing the battery/cut the current to several times before its good. The next day, after an attempted works to install Kaspersky Anti-virus update the same problem... Power disconnected, removed, deleted drums (replacing the cylinder one and then the other to check the faulty ram memory cards) of ram and hard drive and then bled off residual tension with start button. Through this process several times before finally successful. I had to pass by it a few times since after restarts automatic windows updates, etc. I extracted the procedure to manually reset the bios by jumping it, but it's something I want to avoid doing this until I've exhausted all other options.

By the way: I ve checked the download from Toshiba on http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/support/download page and can not find this old model of laptop. I don't understand that Toshiba to THE is some archives for old models like on the page of European support.

Anyway, I don't think that BIOS is the reason for this behavior.

    Hello

I have a problem with my Equium A300D - 13 X laptop, everytime I turn on my laptop it starts and loads the initial startup screen as usual, Toshiba once asked that loud "BEEP" comes from my laptop, and lists the following information:

I replaced the hard drive and flashed the BIOS settings as advised by Toshiba Helpline but the problem persists.

Help, please! because the "BEEP" is now getting on my nerves!

    See you soon

    Hi andrew_net82,

It seems that the BIOS has detected an error with a certain part of material...

Before doing something I recommend you load the default settings in the BIOS. If you are in the BIOS Setup, press the F9 key.

If it doesn t work you need for professional assistance from an authorized service I think. Guys need to check which part of the material is defective and must be replaced.
List of the ASP, you can find on the official website of Toshiba.

  • Satellite A100 BIOS update - BAD CHECKSUM

I've just updated my BIOS to version 6.0 that TOSHIBA said > 26/11/07 "this Bios update adds functionality to your system: Satellite A100 Toshiba 6, 00 - WIN (PSAAN).»

    My original BIOS was 5.9
My computer works fine A100-33 but when my computer restarts, showed it to the BLACK screen.

I noticed that it displays BAD CHECKSUM and suugested I select default BIOS but I * ignored this advice * that wanted this new Version of the BIOS.

What means BAD CHECKSUM and what effects will have on my computer peformance please if any?

Under the system information that is displayed for my BIOS Version/Date Phoenix Technologies LTD 6.00, 07/12/2007

Name of the Microsoft OS? ® Windows Vista Home Basic

    Hello

Don t worry if the message "bad checksum" will appear only once.

'Bad checksum' means that the BIOS has been changed, rewritten or settings have been restored by default. Thus, whenever you save your bios settings, bios made a "checksum" to check the next time you start the settings were stored and all goes well. If something is wrong or has been changed, then the checksum stored since the last save a Don t match real new generated checksum.

So if you make an update of the bios, all your settings will be modified logic - you get an error "Bad Checksum".

Another reason for such "Bad Checksum" is an empty BIOS stack or a malfunction, so BIOS cannot keep it s settings and you will get every time you start the computer a message "Bad Checksum".

    Welcome them

  • Satellite M200 - has internal Bluetooth?

I have a serial number of System Satellite M200 PSMC3A-06N008: 18139050Q with motherboard Intel Corporation SANTA ROSA CRB BIOS: Phoenix Technologies LTD 1.90 20/12/2007
The user guide says it must be installed on the motherboard by Bluetooth, but when I try to install the "battery Bluetooth for Windows by Toshiba" I am asked to install the Bluetooth device.
Review of the Device Manager does not show Bluetooth devices, so my question is...

The PSMC3A-06N008 Satellite M200 has the Bluetooth chipset on the motherboard?

If so, it would look like mine is defective.

    Hey Buddy,

It's not easy to say because it depends on your model of laptop and there are different models with different features on the market.
I tried to check the specifications on the Australian site, but no results were found for your model :(

Normally if your laptop is equipped with BT, you should find the [logo Bluetooth | http://www.thebikerstore.co.uk/product_images/n/033/Bluetooth_logo__70711_zoom.jpg] on the lower side of your laptop.
    Can see you?
