Ultra fast

Someone defines the term "high-speed" as used to describe my XPS8700 bought Dell recently, I have the latest processors i7 and NVidia GeForce GTX745, with 16 GB of ram, my ISP is 94.69mbps 25.81mbps speed and download speed. Yet the pages are slow to load and sometimes just hang out.

This who should I have to wait like Super fast?

slow is probably not the hardware.

What version of windoze? What browser? is McAfee antivirus installed?

YSlow to install a chrome plugin and you can see if it of the site or not.

    Once more, an update to FF just drives me crazy and wasting my time.

    So, I'm updating to FF 29.1 (when I never learn?)

    Forecast Fox - is no longer compatible.

    I see no 'refresh' or recharge them touch. Where at - it go? How can I get that back? I see no STOP"" button. How can I get that back?

    I went once to the penalty to put the tabs on the bottom (below the toolbar... not the bottom of the page) but the new 'upgrade' which destroys. Thank you! Nothing like that constantly having to do the same thing. How do I in the new version?

    I want my status back bar, too. I like to put things at the bottom - particularly clocks Fox and Fox forecast (oops!). Where at - it go? The things that were there are now upward near the search/url box, too much room, I don't want to not consumed it.

  • Satellite P500-1DZ - need new fan coling

    Hi all.

    I bought satellite P500-1DZ - Model - Toshiba PSPGSE in July of last year. The first 2 months were great. Since then, my fan made stronger and stronger noises. It's to the point now where just create a Web site on wix, or using any piece of software that uses the power of remote processing, the computer begins to slow down. It's like im working on a pc from the stone age. To make things worse, I bought the product in England and now live in Poland.

    I don't think I can use my warranty, simply because I can't afford to be without my computer for 2 months, while he was expelled for repair. So I opted to buy a new fan and get this replaced myself. However... There is no information anywhere regarding
    (a) what fan (s), I need to buy.
    (b) where to buy them.

    Toshiba... could you please write me to my e-mail and explain a) your return policy for fixing through the manufacturer's warranty for people who have moved to a new country. and (b) tell me where I can buy replacement fan (s) and I would like to address this issue through your warranty or my own merit.

    I want my computer ultra-fast return :(

    Hey,.

    > I bought the product in England and now live in Poland.
    This should t be a problem because you bought a European model for laptop in Europe and now you are still living in Europe. This would mean that you can contact the local authorized maintainer in Poland and seek redress. I m that guys can fix your laptop because an ASP can control all parts of Toshiba.

    Of course, you can try to fix this problem yourself but you need to know what you're doing because laptop disassembly is delicate and many parts must be removed.
    If you want to continue to do, get also in touch with an authorized service provider because they can order spares from Toshiba.

    Here is a list of the aspic:

  • Drive external HARD is compatible with eSata on Satellite L655-158

    Hello

    I buy a L655-158 this weekend, I also intend to buy a Seagate external hard drive that fits the eSata using something like that: -.

    "Times that are up to six times faster than with USB 2.0 powered Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex Upgrade Cable of eSATA transfer is designed to keep pace with you, to offer you!

    With the Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex Powered eSATA upgrade Cable you can easily and inexpensively switch interface GoFlex and GoFlex Pro Ultra-Portable from your hard drive at speeds ultra-fast eSATA.

    The FreeAgent GoFlex Powered eSATA upgrade Cable works with any port powered eSATA/USB combo, and is compatible with the ultraportable GoFlex and GoFlex Pro drives. Please note that it is not compatible with standard eSATA ports, not powered.

    Take the time to transfer upward with the FreeAgent GoFlex Powered eSATA Cable upgrade to Seagate.

    General information
    GoFlex connectors for eSATA/USB combo port
    Other compatible with ultraportable GoFlex and GoFlex Pro readers. "

    So, my question is the compatible adapter with eSata on the L655-158 port, is the powered port or not? If this is not the case, what are external drives others who enjoy the ease of eSata, and well what they are doing?

    Thanks in advance,

    Concerning

    Kevin

    Hello

    > So my question is the compatible adapter with the port eSata on the L655-158
    There are just sort of eSATA port. If the external HARD disk supports eSATA interface so I guess you can connect this external HARD disk to the port eSATA to the Satellite L655-158

  • Error during asynchronous script runing DIAdem of labview on dual core processor

    Need urgent help / advice here!

    A kernel works well... double heart generates error: error in (line: column 17,: 1): error opening object. The currently open object has no subobjects. Forgotten ObjClose?

    The main software built in labview for data acquisition and analysis generates a PDF report at the end of a test, using DIAdem. For this I use the tiara express vi in labview to generate a report of multi page, in which case I use for loop to go through an array of strings for each page. This loop has a registry change too. After each page I run a script to set a few parameters such as linear/log, start/end and line thickness using the DIAdem Connectivity Toolkit. See the script below:

    Call GraphObjOpen("2D-Axis1")
    Call GraphObjOpen ("2DXAxis8_1")
    D2AxisXDivMode = 'linear '.
    D2AxisXScaleType = "start/end of manual.
    D2AxisXBegin = 20
    D2AxisXEnd = 20000
    Call GraphObjClose ("2DXAxis8_1")

    Call GraphObjOpen ("2DYAxis8_1")
    D2AxisYDivMode = 'linear '.
    D2AxisYScaleType = "full automatic".
    D2AxisYBegin = 0
    D2AxisYEnd = 0
    Call GraphObjClose ("2DYAxis8_1")

    C = 1 to CurveNoMax
    If D2CurveObj (c) = "" then exit for ' c
    Call GraphObjOpen (D2CurveObj (c))
    D2CurveLineWidth = 0.75
    Call GraphObjClose (D2CurveObj (c))
    NEXT ' c

    Call GraphObjClose("2D-Axis1")

    There is also a screenshot of the vi: (script file is generated by the Dscript vi and saved on a disk. then the path is passed to the tiara script vi.)

    I think it is, after the first page of the report is complete to the second page tiara ALWAYS shows error as shown above. However, on my P4 laptop with single core (without hyperthreading) its works very WELL EVERY TIME with a given number of channels/pages of the report.

    My chain of thought is the ultra-fast dual core is something in parallel, so no waiting for page previous complete or complete his purpose of closing! However, in my loop for, I use a shift as before named register, certainly this kind of loop can be divided on multiple threads of carrots/parallel? because it must wait for the answer from the previous. ! ? ! ? Im running LV 8.6 on WinXP for this project and I don't even think treatment multicore for loops for is included in this version.

    The other thing is... This script allows to launch at the end on the dual core until I added the last part that uses a loop for to get all the lines of the chart to be the thinkness I need. What this loop for the guilty? Can I stop to run on multiple cores/threads? I read a post by saying that there is tiara 8 support multi core. This triggered my doubt

    As always, your comments are most appreciated

    AL

    Hi Al,.

    I have a theory, but only you can test.  In your screenshot of the VI, you have the Boolean value of entry for the tiara run with asynchronous Script.vi = TRUE.  My theory is that if you modify this boolean (and all others like him) asynchrous = FALSE, the error will not occur on the multicore computer.  The other thing you could try would be to consolidate all orders report that relate to a REPORT page in a single call to tiara ActiveX.  In the screenshot below, you have at least 2 distinct call of screw DIAdem, so it's at least 2 separate ActiveX calls for a REPORT sheet.

    Here's what I think is happening.  On a multi-core computer, there is the potential for different orders of LV ActiveX tiara to run on different hearts, which can lead to a problem of synchronization on the side of the tiara.  DIAdem 11.x and earlier works exclusively on 1 CPU, so incoming ActiveX controls should be properly sequenced by the tiara ActiveX task list.  Theoretically, tiara must serialize all incoming ActiveX controls (no matter which CPU processed them) in the order that they arrived at the Server ActiveX DIAdem.  The side sending, the execution of LabVIEW data flow should theoretically ensure that all ActiveX applications are sent in the correct order.  But it is theoretically possible that queue processing ActiveX of the operating system cannot send all the ActiveX controls to DIAdem in order that he receive them LabVIEW - IF YOU have SELECTED PROCESSING ASYNCHRONOUS.

  • HP ENVY tilted 23-k000a Touch: terribly slow internet wifi after upgrade to win8.1 - ENVY tilted 23-k000a Touch

    I bought a few weeks ago.

    After upgrading to win8.1, I noticed the speed of internet was slow, I'm on a connection "Ultra-fast VDSL" yet all downloads by wireless are 15 to 25kbs max.

    If I connect the cable to the modem and disconnect the wireless connection, I get 200 to 300 kbs as I should, but then my game of Ryan box can't find my computer, as soon as I reconnect wireless it can.

    OK, maybe two questions here, but to start I would like to help to get the connection wireless operating at the speed it should.

    Thank you, John

    Maybe I should say kBs...

    Thank you

    Any browser you use on windows, it gets the settings as internet Explorer.

    first turn off wifi and connect your lan cable.

    then open internet explorer, then click on tools, then internet options, then click on connections then lan settings, then uncheck automatic settings tick, if it is checked, then save and close internet explore and then re - open and see if you can get internet connection, if you're still not a connection, re-check the box of automatic settings and save and exit internet explore , try this a couple of times.

  • Why overlays take much longer on grayscale images single precision

    Hello

    I came across a rather curious problem. In a Visual inspection machine, we create 8-bit 16MPixel images. These are then calculated in single precision images. After processing the image display us certain types of images of result to the user. Here, the user can use the mouse on the image display and gets a reading of the current image of the sector where the mouse is currently positioned. If the image is RGB or U8, fine.

    However, if the display holds one of the 32-bit grayscale images things become quite slow, by a factor of 5 to 10 about. Now I can see that 32-bit is quite a bit more than 8 bits, so I guess an increase in lap by a maximum factor of 4 times.

    Since the images are large enough, an update takes about 90-100 ms with the 32-bit image, while the same action requires little more than 10 to 20 ms with U8 and same RGB. Because the movement of the mouse is caught by a structure of the event, all movements are processed and finally the tail to cause a blockage of the software that all these events are processed. This leads to ridiculously long 'freeze' time in the software, sometimes as long as 20 sec, as I saw through a log of the events has been implemented for this purpose.

    Attached is an example of code that shows the unusually long processing time for overlays on SGL-images. If there is any suggestion, I would be happy to read them. Thanks in advance.

    Falk

    After in-depth discussions with German support NOR we have understood that it is not primarily the recovery action that consumes time, but rather my screen image update after each action of the event. As my goal was to provide the user with the most recent image information available as close to the position of the mouse as possible there is no another way to do it without compromising the goal that I have explained.

    Several alternative ideas, we had (some don't work well) are briefly explained below:

    1. Use the property of the band of the art instead of creating an overlay

      • PRO: ultra fast response because no update of the display image is needed, easy to implement
      • Cons: Stationary, takes advanced band rest a while to appear, requires the user to stay in the same place on the screen for a while, the band faded unpredictable (in my test) and reappears only after leaving and returning to the display picture more keep the mouse pointer for a few seconds
    2. Use an extra (classic style) indicator string to display the desired text in the desired position
      • PRO: also very fast
      • CON: kind of hassle to the code, because it implies the correct calculation of the desired position of the channel indicator using the position of the window of the façade, the image appears indicator and the position of the mouse. Actually not hard I know, but nothing that see you with your mind on your dinner... You'll need a bunch of different reference types here to acquire the position necessary to window VI, indicator to display Image and mouse properties
    3. As 2 but without moving the indicator
      • PRO: fast and easy to implement
      • CON: not as easy to use since the indicator is stationary somewhere around the display of images and not at the mouse position.
    4. copy/typecast image SGL U8 image and move forward with overlays
      • PRO: the response is improved to the level that I used
      • CON: 'problem' with the update of the display image remains and therefore increases the response time the picture gets
    5. Use the property of the information string Image instead of creating an overlay
      • PRO: would be faster than 1., since no required update picture
      • k.o. - CON: property seems to be Read-Only, so no changes defined by the user of the text is possible

    I guess my choice will be 2.

    If anyone has other ideas on this subject, I will be always happy to hear about them.

  • Code-named Windows 8

    Hey Microsoft!

    something to ask...

    I want the ultimate Opertating on the ultimate PC system, so I have a few questions...

    Windows 7 is very close to the perfect OS, but I have a few questions I want to see resolved in ' windows 8 '.

    1. the "instant on" should be even faster in windows 8 so that my desktop appears after maximum 13 seconds start time.

    2. it is shared-memory system even if I use a NVIDIA or ATI graphics with apart on the dedicated card. I can't disable in Windows 7, so if Aero must have it, solve the problem that Aero only needs the memory on my nvidia card.

    3 Directx 12 can be programmed so that there is no difference between how the character of a game moves and 'Act' between real life live and virtual.

    4. no luxury in windows 8, so "ultra fast, ultra stable, ultra safe, windows; It works and that's all.  No bubbles and bells at all.

    5. I know that windows 8 will be a major release but windows program 8 it is based on windows 7 system code program language.

    6. Internet explorer 9 or even 10 must be 100% compatible with the standards of the ACID 3.

    Thanks in advance!

    PS: no matter how much it costs, but I'll buy windows 8 the day of liberation.

    Windows Update has nothing to do with 'Windows 8 '.

  • Filming without audio

    Appliances digital cameras generally provides a way of filming without audio?  This would save memory, or is the audio component that is too small to make a difference?

    I own a Canon PowerShot SD1300 IS (IXUS 105 in North America), but I have a sneaking suspicion that the answer (either or not) apply to most digital cameras.

    The PowerShot 3 I've owned audio is automatically included for any normal shooting mode (maybe for ultra-fast frameworks for idle movies that it wasn't).  I just watched a few movies taken with SX280 (video with audio MP4 h264) and my 1300IS (Motion JPEG with PCM audio). In 3 movies, I checked that the audio component was only 1-2% of the total size of film.

  • Acer X 1930 works does not properly after the factory restore

    It did not work correctly since the restoration of my desktop Acer X 1930 under Windows 7. Now, it shows: "configuration of the Windows updates failed. Returning from the changes.

    Could someone please help?

    Hello, I had problems even when I went back to 10 Win7... The only way I could make it work just is for the first few newspapers in I had to restart my system rather often. I know that this is not a SOLUTION but is what I did...

    Load Windows 7, let the updates for about 3 minutes... I first tried 8 mins but still many updates. So 3 works for me... I am also connected on wire on a Giga lan with Ultra fast connection to my ISP... So time could vary for you...

    After 3 minutes, I had 20 to 26 update ready to be used. Restart the computer. They worked. Makes about 3 times. ON the 4th time I down load 90 updates to see if it would work. And he did very well. Then after that, I went to look at the missing updates to ensure that they were going to update or had... added some that were OPT... on on the last 50ish and they have all updated very well. But for some reason, if I let all try them and update from the beginning, they would fail. I think it's because they have tried to put in the updates before others will want that needed to be done first...

    I do not work for Microsoft or Acer and it is only first hand from one of my systems. This isn't a fix only my way to make it work.

    So if you have a connection interent fast and no more wireless I would say that for the first time you start your computer just let it run for a few minutes then go to the Start button and restart so you do a little at a time...

    I would like to know how it works for you...

  • -SOLVED! -PCI or USB wireless adapter is disabled and will not activate on Windows 7

    The solution: uninstall ZoneAlarm!

    I spent 3 days and 3 different cards, trying to solve this problem. First of all, I bought a Netgear PCI wireless adapter. Installed according to the instructions. Device Manager showed the adapter works properly but turned off and nothing I tried would enable the adapter.

    NETGEAR has taken over to the store and buy a Linksys PCI wireless adapter. Exactly the same problem. Device Manager, said the adapter worked correctly, but turned off and would not turn on.

    So I called Linksys support and paid them only for the remote service and they couldn't get it to work either (of course to return money). They suggest is to contact Microsoft technical support or buy the USB version.

    I went and picked up the USB (WUSB600-N v.2) version today and guess what? Exactly the same problem. Device Manager showed the device works correctly, but turned off and would not turn on. After talking to a few other technicians in addition to myself, we agreed that the only other option was to reinstall windows. But just before I decided to do, I checked one last time to Google and came across a post in the forums of Vista by someone who had the same exact problem, uninstalled ZoneAlarm and then worked their wireless adapter.

    Well, I decided to try that before reinstalling windows. As soon as I uninstalled ZoneAlarm and the computer restarts, the adapter has been activated and automatically found my network! This means that ZoneAlarm control network on the computer and for some reason cards some not allowing a wireless adapter is enabled.

    Then I tried to re-setup of ZoneAlarm. After that I have re-installed, my wireless adapter became instantly disabled and would not turn on again. So I uninstalled ZoneAlarm at all times. My router has SPI and NAT firewall on top of the Windows Firewall, so I need anyway ZA.

    If you have ZoneAlarm, get rid of it. If you still experience the problem of your card activating Wireless does not and have ZoneAlarm, try to uninstall any firewall software 3rd - party that you have already installed (not the Windows Firewall).

    I was really frustrated after spending 3 days with 3 different adapters and many trips to stores using the adapters and buy different cards. I'm glad I found this post on the forums of Vista, so the credit goes to the one who made this post.

    On a side note, after I installed the drivers from the CD and Linksys site, Windows update has shown there is an updated driver on the site of Ralink which I installed it and so far no problem. My WUSB600-N automatically connected to the strip of the 5 GHz on my router dual band and speeds are ultra fast and signal is strong in a completely different room.

    Hope this information helps others finally solve this problem.

    See you soon,.

    Matt

    64-bit, but it should work on either. ZoneAlarm includes network connections and was not what allows the adapter to be activated. Even close ZoneAlarm does not work either. ZoneAlarm must be uninstalled from the card must be activated.

    Vista drivers work fine with this adapter. Then a Windows Update is the updated drivers for Ralink which also work very well.

    If you have properly installed the drivers and display device manager the device works correctly, but disabled, and then uninstall any firewall/antivirus 3 rd-party should do the trick.

    I am a tech, more I consulted other technicians as well as paid for technical support of Linksys and nobody could understand this problem and it's no wonder. Who would have thought that ZoneAlarm or any 3rd part antivirus/firewall software would take complete control over network connections and not to allow a new network adapters must be installed correctly.

    If anyone needs any help other than that, feel free to ask.

  • X61T, Support SATA-II, 150Mbps SSD problems

    I bought a high speed of SSD (X 25 - M G2) for my Thinkpad X 61 Tablet with the hope of reaching a ultra fast and silent machine. I installed a new copy of Windows 7, with each firmware and drivers updated to the latest news releases... Unfortunately for X 61 Tablet support SATA-II has been capped at 150Mbps. Now performance my SSD is slightly better than a 7200 RPM HARD drive.

    What I understand other discussions on this topic, is that Lenovo put this course intentionally artificial speed (while supporting material is here). Is this true? If so, it is totally unacceptable.

    My X61T is a perfect tool for me and incomparable with its LCD high-resolution (1400 x 1050). If you upgrade to a mediocre 200 X, it just won't cut it. PDF documents appear as print (a 144dpi of resolution LCD screen), and I'm totally paperless now.

    It is technically possible to raise this ceiling? If so, where can we write to Lenovo? Any suggestions?

    Thank you
