  Hello...

  I recently bought a Toshiba Satellite C650 T3300 / 2 GHz computer laptop that is running Windows 7. When I put a USB key on both the laptop USB ports it recognizes for a few seconds and then rejects it. It will not open content. I am wanting to transfer music from my old laptop to the new. I tried two flash sticks and the two will not work.

  Any suggestions on how to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated.

  Have you checked if all USB ports properly recognized in Device Manager?

  You can try updating the chipset driver, it also controls USB ports as far as I know. Just check the latest chipset driver from Toshiba Web site:

  I managed to past this error with VMware, no real support solution, and more:

  -These "suspended" systems seems to have an action being performed on them (e.g. layer provisioning) - clear all Task Monitor allows

  -update to 4.0 4.23 also authorized "ghost" items, new version also seems to be more stable

• CVD reference is missing the installation of Windows 7 Image option in MIrage Client after the upgrade to 5.0 Mirage

  Prior to the release and the Mirage 5.0 upgrade, I had a CVD of reference created. I did 5 revisions to the Base layer on the MCV Ref. After each change, I clic click straight on Mirage Client icon, select Tools and then run "Installation of Image of Windows 7. Then I go back to the Console and capture a layer of existing base of CVD Ref. has worked like a charm.

  Since the upgrade to Mirage 5.0 and after the installation of the new client on the MCV Ref, the installation of Windows 7 Image tool is missing. If I try to capture the base in any case layer, it crashes. I checked the logs and he returns with "Execution dock could not be completed" and never captures the base layer.

  I have uninstalled/reinstalled the client on the MCV Ref.

  I have removed the Ref CVD of inventory and created again.

  Still cannot capture the base layer.

  The next thing im going to do is flatten the CVD Ref and available with a base previous output layer and see what happens.

  BTW, this happens on two Ref CVD I created. for example a team lead Ref CVD and another is a Call Center Ref CVD.

  The only way I could get my MCV reference existing (before Mirage 5.0 upgrade), to capture a Base Layer (after changing new) without having to rebuild my reference Image from zero has been to Sysprep the machine and capture with WDS. I removed the Mirage customer before sysprepping. Then deleted the CVD the stock updated Ref waiting and then I rejected the device pending and removed from CVDs rejected.

  Then was to bring the return of WDS Sysprep image and install the Mirage Client and create a new MCV Ref. I made a few changes and was able to capture the base instantly layer. I will now do the same for the rest of my pre Mirage 5.0 Ref CVDs. I had 3 Ref CVD anyway. If they were not complex images, I would of just them rebuilt from scratch.

  I'm happy to finish with WDS, so much easier to make changes to the images on Mirage.

  Hope this helps someone else with the same number of "Execution of Shim failed to Complete" when revisions to images on Ref CVD after the upgrade to the Mirage Server 5.0

  Sometimes you have to force the installation manually, then go to ACPI peripheral unknow, update/install drivers manually search for and navigate to the folder drivers and let windows choose the good.

• Apple TV 4th Gen - not finding network?

  Got a 4th gen Apple TV as a gift and decided to finally put in place.   Your router can be configured to reject new devices. You will perhaps connect in it and allow the new device to connect.

  ATV network settings, you should use WiFi with IP and DNS both the automatic value. Select your network and enter the key. Then if it is rejected, go to the router and let. Please try this and report exactly what's happening.

  What do you mean by "auto change IP address? Change IP address your Mac? You should not enter an IP address for ATV.

  I want to use a switching matrix to test current and voltage of a control cabinet.   Some approaches for you to consider:

  1 Add a resistor or a few resistors to each card.  Measure the resistance before applying all power to the i/o lines.  The code of the resistance (s) to identify the class of Council (current or voltage) and rank (if applicable).  Simple jumper on the unused pins of the connector can also be used.

  2 measure the input impedance (or at least the resistive component) before turning the power on.  An input voltage device probably has a high input impedance while the current input device has a low input impedance. It could detect and reject some devices with resistance to entry incorrect installed.

  3. use a camera to determine which device is connected.  (This should satisfy your request to be informed!)

  4. you can replace the operator with a robot, but the robot would still need to use something like 1, 2 or 3 to identify the boards.

  5. use edge configurations physically incompatible connectors/card so that the cannobe Board connected to the tester bad.

  Hi and welcome to the forums.

  That's pretty standard treatment is not so trivial.  And there are alternative methods of implementation and there are many messages from the forum about various aspects of this.  I suggest that you proceed in follows and the search on the forum when you hit problems in a specific area.

  In any case, the simplest implementation is:

  (a) divide your application into two parts: a part of the background and the foreground part. Use another entry (search for KB article) so that the foreground part is launched with an icon and the background separately.  The part of the background details are given later.

  (b) mark your app to autostart and start your background part.  This will then start you demand when the device turns on (and when the installation of the application).  You should be careful at the time of commissioning, note this article:

• Win 7 home: rejected devices

  Hey, I bought new Toshiba with Windows 7 Home Edition in the shop.

  At home, I tried to connect my current devices: printers and mobile modems.
  It wouldn't work. An error or a warning message appears in the connecting a device, saying that there is a problem with the driver. However, before the driver installation by running the installation discs does not help, to used to be with the same features on my old computers.

  With respect to modems, it is supposed to function as a memory card USB usual, showing as new drive after plugging into USB port. It must be saved as a new drive and run the automatic installation program located on this drive. However, the drive is not detected even after manual installation of the appropriate programs. This seems to be a significant collapse of the whole concept of plug-and-play approach, while I have to waste my time now consult specialists and looking for a better job OS.

  If you are using Windows 7 64 bit, then you must have certified drivers. Have you checked the web sites of these devices if they are taken in charge and then download the drivers?
