Win 7 home: rejected devices

Hey, I bought new Toshiba with Windows 7 Home Edition in the shop.

At home, I tried to connect my current devices: printers and mobile modems.
It wouldn't work. An error or a warning message appears in the connecting a device, saying that there is a problem with the driver. However, before the driver installation by running the installation discs does not help, to used to be with the same features on my old computers.

With respect to modems, it is supposed to function as a memory card USB usual, showing as new drive after plugging into USB port. It must be saved as a new drive and run the automatic installation program located on this drive. However, the drive is not detected even after manual installation of the appropriate programs. This seems to be a significant collapse of the whole concept of plug-and-play approach, while I have to waste my time now consult specialists and looking for a better job OS.

If you are using Windows 7 64 bit, then you must have certified drivers. Have you checked the web sites of these devices if they are taken in charge and then download the drivers?

  • Inspiron 3521 - Win 7 Home Premium not detect Ethernet/NW Devices - need drivers

Hi, hope someone can help you.

I recently bought Win 7 Home Premium, 64-bit, for "downgrade" my laptop Inspiron 3521 for Windows 8.0.

Windows 7 is not looking for drivers for the following items:

I read the Wiki on getting the hardware ID, but... when I do properties > details on any of them, there is no hardware shown ID.

My theory is that this is b/c they are all on the motherboard? But that's a wild guess on my part.

No idea how I can be sure of what material I've got, given that the hardware ID are not?

Associates: I jumped my service tag in Support of Dell thingie to see if that gives joy and found that * could * be the drivers I need, BUT: what the beep is that sort of thing auto-install?  I'm not ON my Dell laptop when I come here, because it doesn't connect to the Internet or any network at all, so if all these auto-telechargements, it's going to auto download on the WRONG COMPUTER stuff!  (My apologies for yelling: I'm shouting metaphorically to Dell technical support, not to you all!) )

So, is it possible to get the drivers, I need without * grill * the not quite expensive Dell desktop I'm on?  I tried to download directly on a USB key, but Dell does not want you to, either.

If someone could walk me through this, I would be VERY grateful.

    Thank you very much!

    Liz

  • dv4t-5100 (A9Q30AV): recovery of Win 7 Home Premimum OS dv4t-5100

I have 2 laptop computers HP (dv4t and Pavilion g6) that both have Win 7 Home Premimum 64-bit installed.  I used the Recovery Manager (rebecca.exe) on the g6 Pavillion to created a set of recovery disc for Paviliion G6 (finished with 5 DVDs).

CD 1 of the set of recovery disks should be bootable, that I can use to re - install the OS Win 7 on the g6 Pavillion (the disk set includes the OS Win 7 installation image and all the drivers required for the g6 Pavilion).

dv4t-1500, recently broke down, cannot restart under Win 7 normally.  Seems OS image corrupted (or some other problem).  I didn't create all of the recovery disc (3 DVD that includes the operating system install image more all dv4t device drivers).

Is it impossible to use the re g6 Pavillion recovery discs - install the OS Win7 image on my laptop dv4t (of course I have to correct the device drivers after the Win 7 OS is reinstalled). ?

Made the g6 Pavillion Recovery Disc set (5 DVDs) prevents me from using them to re - install Win 7 on my HP dv4t?  I have 2 different/unique product/license key Win 7 Home Premimum 64bits (sticker on the underside of each laptop).

    Thank you

    Hello

Yes, absolutely, you have all the right points, before moving on to another I rather suggest you test the HARD drive on the computer. You can check the below mentioned steps.

    • Switch off the appliance.
    • To turn back press the power button and as soon as you release, keep pressing the "ESC" key, unless a screen comes up, you might want to wait a minute while tapping the button.
    • In the start menu, choose F2 - System Diagnostics.
    • Under the component Test it would be HARD drive test (generally, it is recommended that you perform a Quick Test and extended).
    • After you choose the Quick Test, click on run once.

If it passes you can proceed with the trial extended, if he fails to give a call to customer support at the number mentioned below, to check the repair options, which should be covered by the guarantee, to check the status of security here is the link -

    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/weInput?cc=us & lc = in.

If the Extended test passes so you can spend with the recovery process.

Although I work for HP, but I am personally.

  • Problems installing drivers after the replacement of Win Xp Home Ed by Win Xp pro.

    Need help.
I have a Toshiba Satellite M70 - SR2 (bought last December), which came with Win Xp Home Ed pre-installed on it. I remove the home Ed and installed my XP pro Spk2. Now I can't get my wireless connection to communicate with my Linsys router so I can connect to internet, that failed to install the video card...
I only managed to download and install the audio drivers and the modem drivers.
I have downloaded the display drivers, unzipped the file but could not install them as I did with the audio drivers.
In my device manager, I always get a yellow marke in front of:
    Controller - Eternet
    SM Bus controller-
    -Video control (VGA Compatible)
Can someone gives instructions on how to obtain and install these drivers or where I can find the instructions.

    Thankx

    Hello

Well, the right installation order is very important because some drivers and utilities can be installed without the other drivers.
I recommend to follow the installation instructions and install things together.
If you don't need something then you can remove the bone in Add & Remove software.

To solve the problem of yellow question mark that you have to install the drivers.
(At the beginning) chipset driver, Lan/Wlan driver, display driver.

But if you follow the installation instructions you shouldn't t get any yellow points mark.

  • How can I uninstall/reinstall Win 7 Home

I can uninstall and reinstall Win 7 Home I'm having all kinds of problems, crashed, black screen, I have tried all the diagnostics. memory diagnostic will not end.  Thank you.

If your computer is pre-installed with Windows 7 Home Premium:

New computers coming often pre-installed with Windows 7 have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.

This is how the recovery partition is available for the most popular brands

For Dell, press CTRL + F11 directly after switching on the device

For HP, press F11 directly after switching on the device

For Toshiba, press and hold "0" BEFORE and during the power upward

For Acer, press and hold ALT + F10, as soon as you see the logo

For Samsung: Press the F4 key to the Samsung logo when you turn first.

For Asus, press F9, as soon as you see the Asus logo.

Advent, restart your computer. Then, press F10 repeatedly until the message "Starting system recovery"

Select the disk partition where you want to install Windows 7 click Next.

You will receive the following warning:

The partition you have selected may contain files from a previous Installation of Windows. If so, these files and folders will be moved to a folder named Windows.old. You will be able to access the information in Windows.old, but you will be able to use your previous version of Windows.

(At all costs, do NOT click on anything in Format, deletion or Partition name.) So even do a custom installation, your personal files are still kept. Click OK

The installation program will now begin installation. During installation, your computer will be restarted several times.

Once the installation is complete, you can complete the Out of Box experience as the choice of your laptop, create a username, password, your time zone. You can then proceed to download the latest updates for Windows and reinstall your applications and drivers.

does not contain the correct intel lan drivers! The two matches more close to you (in the numbering type) do not install correctly :/

-How can I get LAN @ work my (new :) Toshiba Portege M100 1, 4 GHz?

    Hello

I found that your unit has:
Type of network I / F chip Intel ICH4-M integrated cont LAN & LAN (PHY) is Intel Chinnereth (82562ET). Network driver integrated on the imager on recovery CD is Intel® PRO/100 VE V.6.4.14. This driver can be used for WXP Home and Pro.

If you don t have a recovery media that you have at least Tools & Utilities CD?
This driver, you can find under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_drivers_bios.jsp and after download see the Readme.txt file.

    Good bye

  • Satellite A660 - update: Win 7 Home Premium to Ultimate

I just bought A660 preloaded with Windows Home Premium 64-bit.
I would switch to Ultimate 64 bits because I need additional features.
I would like to know how to upgrade to Ultimate with a pack of detail without deleting all Toshiba drivers and characteristics.

    Any suggestion will be welcome!

    Hello

You can buy a Microsoft Upgrade.
But to be honest, that I recommend to buy a full version of Win 7 Ultimate and do a clean install.

The advantage is that you could install this without early installation of Win 7 Home premium.
For example; If you purchase an upgrade you will need to first install Home Premium and you need to improve this OS to ultimate. This can be annoying if anything goes wrong with OS and you need to install it again
If you buy a ultimate full version, then you can install this OS immediately and directly without having to install Home Premium first.

PS: the drivers are the same for Home Premium and Ultimate.
