  I have a vSphere of VMware update Manager 6 installed in my vSphere6 env.

  Update Manager works great and updates the hosts, but in WebClient in the tab "System Configuration" in the State of health services I observe "VMware vSphere Update Manager extension" in a critical situation.

  I checked the Update Manager and vpxd connects and found nothing suspicious.

  No idea what this could be?

  Please make sure that you fillfulled all the FQDN, IP and dns short name in certificate request

  My previous certificate did not short dns name that caused my problem.

• Error 25003 When vSphere Update Manager installation

  I have a problem install vSphere Update Manager 5.5 on a Windows 2008 R2 server and I do not really get around it.

  During the installation of the Update Manager, I get the following error:

  Error 25003. To create database tables, the installation failed.

  This happens on the installation task "Repository of database creation of VMware vSphere Update Manager".

  I know that this error has already been discussed. It seems that this error happens mainly when you are using a remote SQL database. That's what I'm NOT.

  My environment is that a domain joined Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard in English. We use the vCenter Server Appliance, so there is no database present on this server. Only, I begin the installation of the Update Manager and use the option to automatically install an instance of SQL Express. Then, this error occurs.

  I did another installation of Manager Update on another site without any error.

  No clue as to what might cause this error?

  Yes, I tried.

  During this time, I understood what causes problems. This server is a Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard in English, but with Turkish regional settings.

  This locale cause Update Manager produce this Error 25003. Once I changed all the English locale and rebooting the server, then install flawlessy.

  This error seems to be known by VMware, but only for vCenter Server installation. VUM also seems to be affected.

  So I installed my vSphere environment, but I can't seem to find the download for 'vSphere Update Manager' anywhere...

  We use the vCenter virtual App, so it does not come with the Update Manager.

  
  

  Where can I find the download for it?

  Go to the portal of VMware and download the installer for Vcenter. Expand the Management Server download and click on VMware vCenter Server 5.1.0 Update 1A and modules

  Run the Setup program in that and you will be guided

  You want to know if I install it, there will be any kind of automatic configuration for downloading patches etc host, everything will begin affecting our hosts, vms, or nothing will change, there is tab Manager Update, nothing else?

  There is no harm to download and install, this is a plugin from the client and does not affect your hosts somehow. Once installed get you an additional "Update Manager" tab where you can switch between the compliance and view admin to manage your infrastructure. Patches are downloaded in a central repository and deployed only to your hosts when you fix them - this is not an automatic process, please start it.

  We just migrated to vSphere 5 and I was wondering if there was a way to force Update Manager to download only updates vSphere 5? Also is it possible to clean the updates which got already downloaded from V3 - V4? Looks like it is set up to download all updates, while it is not necessary to do...

  I think that there is no option to remove the patches to the Patch repository. You can consult the directory on which patches are installed and remove fronm here if you need to clear up space but VUM will always show the patches.

• Unable to access client ARD for specific users

  I have ARD Admin 3.8 and manage more than 100 computers at my company.

  Methods standard in my company, the setting System Preferences > sharing > Remote managementt > allow access to: is set to "only these users: ' field is empty.

  I tried to add an account in the Terminal. I SSH into a machine and run various commands, but they do not work:

  None of them worked, I still can't authenticate on this machine with my admin of ARD.

  Am I missing something? Is there anything else I can try?

  Nevermind, I figured it.

  For some reason, the first name and the account name were different and I was using the full name in the command. Once I used the name of the account, it worked.

• Unable to access user account after installing Windows updates.

  This problem can occur either due to start-up files Windows corrupted or if the master boot record and boot sector is damaged.

  I suggest you do the Startup Repair and check.

• Unable to access Citibank Online Banking after THE update to IE11.0.9600.16476

  After update of IE on my computer on windows 8, I lost access to my online banking with Citibank. It does not recognize my login type. Even if I see the letters entered into the login page, it will detect as if I haven't typed all the letters. No problem when I use CHROME or other computers by using an earlier version of IE. Citibank called and they of course could not understand it outside and i.e. blamed. They said they would look into this but three weeks have passed and no solution. Any recommendations on how to overcome this problem.

  The first step in troubleshooting is to clear browser cache/cookies.      

  * For the browser Internet Explorer & MSN Butterfly: simultaneously press CTRL + SHIFT + DELETE, and then click on remove
  For Google Chrome: simultaneously press CTRL + SHIFT + DELETE, and then click clear browsing data
  * For Firefox: press CTRL + SHIFT + DELETE, and then click clean now

  OK, so I'm incredibly new to esxi thus hoped a little help with an upgrade. I have esxi 4.0 with the update of the client and vsphere host utility. I just found on the passage of the USB in limitation so do I need to upgrade to 4.1. I just wanted to confirm that I can upgrade while keeping the Server 2008 installation intact. I am really unable to just reinstall the server after an upgrade, so I want to just make sure I can do "in place".

  Yes, you can.

  Of course, it's always a good idea to have backups of your VM (s), but the update process is not meant to destroy one of them.

  Currently, we create an XML with encrypted data and store it in the folder/usr/local on vCenter.

  Small data files can be stored on the same device running the Web Client (VCSA for Linux) or vCenter for Windows

  In order to make your code compatible with the next vSphere 6.0 5.5 plugin you must use the following directories that will retain the write access:

  -/ Import/Storage on Linux

  -System.getenv ("PROGRAMDATA") under Windows.

  Create a subdirectory of the plugin and write your files.  See the code in the samples/global services/Global Services-service/src/main/java/com/vmware/samples/global services/GlobalServiceImpl.java

  My client plugin project vsphere web contains the two files jar "vsphere-client-lib" or "data-services - 1.0.0. These two jars has many common classes with identical or different method signatures. I used the DataException class in my code that uses the signature of the method of the vsphere client file - lib.jar.

  Simply compile your Java with client/vsphere-Java code - lib.jar.  I don't know why you use data-service - 1.0.0 (and where you found it). It is not part of the SDK and is not the doc or samples.

  In case of DataByModel, we have events in response to the separate data for the data model class, but I couldn't find the same for DataByConstraint.

  You can define a unique ID_Demande for each DataByConstraintRequest and check in the response Manager.  'requestId' is a field of the class of basic DataRequest.
