  Perform the steps mentioned below and check if that helps:

  Method 1

  Check if the Windows Update Service is selected as a starting point.

  To do this, follow these steps:

  1. on Start, run and type services.msc in the Open box, and then click OK.

  In services.msc find the automatic updates service and double-click it.

  1. click on the tab log and ensure that the "Local System account" is selected for the account logon and the box "Allow service to interact with desktop" is DISABLED.
  2. in the hardware profile sectionin the log tab, check that the service is activated.
  3. on the general tab, the Startup Type should be Automatic, otherwise, the drop-down list box and select automatic.
  4. under "Status of Service" under the general tab, the service must be started, click the Start button enable.

  Repeat the above steps for the service "BITS Background Intelligent Transfer Service ()".

  Method 2:

  You can also re - register dll in Windows Update.

  To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Start, run, type CMD and click ok

  Do not use any type of product, "anti-virus" or "anti-malware" on a Mac. It is never necessary for her, and relying on it for protection makes you more vulnerable to attacks, not less.

  Again, something is the same string as before.

  This item is actually a file, although it has a different icon than usual. Drag it to the trash, and then close the window.

  Do not delete the folder "Frames" or anything else inside.

If this is the case, click the lock icon to unlock the settings, and then select an other keys. I have no problem to access most of my Bank (ibanking), company of insurance (e-care) and other Web sites in order to check my transactions. With the exception of one of the insurance co website. I can access their Web site, but when I try to access the page Web safe 'e-connect', I get the following message "Internet Explorer has stopped working" & "a problem with this webpage caused Internet Explorer close and reopen the tab". However, if I use my desktop PC (Window XP with 2 GB of memory), I have no problem to access the "e-connect.

  My knowledge is very basic with Cisco Pix Firewall. We are behind a PIX Firewall with version 6.3 of the PIX and recently we have not been able to access a specific website of our workstations (all other sites are fine). AFAIK, workstations use a PAT global address, but we have a server who is also behind the PIX and has a different IP assigned in the PIX config and we can navigate the site from the server.

  For workstations that connect to the site just times out, from the server, we have no problems. He isn´t a DNS problem and according to the people on the site, we are not prohibited. Like I said my knowledge is fundamental, and I was wondering if it could be linked to the PIX and a possible solution.

  Any ideas?.

  Thanks for the update.  I had cases where this is the case - the end-server is a kind of research of research of blacklist or DNS record to check the IP of the applicant.  I've also seen issues where ISPS have inadvertently, unintentionally hurt routed traffic to (or rather, far from) the source or destination.

  Several times when you are unable to access the Windows Update web page, it is either caused by a firewall block or a type virus infection.  I suggest to turn off your firewall and then test Windows Update.  Don't forget to re-enable it as soon as you are finished testing.  If you are still not able to access it with the firewall off, then I suggest a more aggressive scan for issues.  Use not only your AVG but run an online scanner as well.  These links have some great info about viruses and anti-virus programs:

  I just changed from Mcafee security to Eastlink Internet Security Services on my desktop. I have windows 7 and Firefox 7.01 since this change, I can't access the buttons on web pages. for example on the Kijiji web page, I can not connect. On a banking Web site I couldn't log out. Internet Explorer seems to work OK. Thanks for the help, Dave.

  This problem may be caused by the Yahoo! toolbar as scopes as well down and covers the top of the browser window, allowing links in this part of the screen not clickable.
