  I'll try from Firefox Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode. If you do not have the issue so that all your modules, extensions, and themes are disabled, you can try adding them in one by one until you find the culprit.   Hi jwsloway, I do not know why this problem would have been before, unless you have changed to use a plugin of research who have searched http Google to one using the https Google Protocol, or you can stay connected to your Google account (Google redirect), or you are using an add-on that force HTTPS on popular sites when they are available.

  Very recently, my Firefox has changed. I used to be able to start typing, say, 'www.google.com' in my location toolbar window. This would provide a drop-down list of recent sites, and I just click the line "www.google.com". Firefox would immediately take me to this Web site with a single click.

  Hello! You have already checked your add-ons and some settings (well thought!), but still:
  Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily disables hardware acceleration, restores some settings and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).

  If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:

  • Click on the menu button , click Help , and then select restart with disabled modules.

  If Firefox does not work, you can start Firefox in Mode safe as follows:

  • On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
  • On Mac: Hold the option key during the startup of Firefox.
  • On Linux: Exit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox-safe-mode
    (you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)

  When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "start mode safe."
