Unable to connect to Live Messenger. -Error 80048820

I get the error 80048820 and a key Port error when I try to connect to Live Messenger.  Only, I have re-installed Norton Internet Security 2010.  Live Messenger worked before.  I am running Windows 7 Home Premium on a core i7 with 6 GB memory machine.

Norton is almost certainly the cause of the problem (and it's normal with this software).  I bet that if you turn off or uninstalll it (using the Norton Removal Tool and not of Vista uninstall functionality) have more trouble with Messenger.  But there may be an another one available so you should talk to the experts.

Please repost your question in the box Solution of Live Messenger (and Forums) to:http://windowslivehelp.com/forums.aspx?forumid=775a2bc4-f894-4e9c-9f51-b155bbddf8d3 where Live Messenger experts will be happy to help you.

Good luck!
