You can join support Messenger - Windows Live space (http://messenger-support.spaces.live.com)
OR Windows Live Help (http://windowslivehelp.com/community)
It is possible that you have corrupted cache files; You can try to delete the cache folder and check if that helps. You can also temporarily disable your firewall and check if all of the parameters of the firewall is a cause. Better support for the effort, I'd say uninstall you the current Windows live Messenger and install the latest version (http://download.live.com/messenger)
Let me know if it worked.
Hope it will be useful.

I can't sign into windows live messenger, I get the message that windows live messnger is unavailable currently try again later and also I get the error code 80048820, can someone help me solve this problem.
Hello jabeena, welcome.
This section would apply in fact to the Windows Live programs, but we'll see what we can do to help out you.
I recommend to try this first:
1. disable any antivirus software or security, you have running on your computer. Looking for software to disable that contains a firewall.
2. click on START
3. Type "cmd" (without the quotes). Right-click on the result at the top of the menu START and select 'run as administrator '.
4 type the following and press enterRegsvr32 softpub.dll wintrust.dll initpki.dll
netsh winsock reset

Cannot connect to Windows Live Messenger
Tried to connect to Windows Live Messenger and receive the error Code: 80072efd
I tried to correct the problem with the online help, but it did not help. I used the "get more information" and follow the directions with no positive results. I seems to be a missing file. My Internet connection is fine and have had no problem connecting through startup.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
