Unable to connect to Oracle XE

Hello
I know this topic has been covered many times before here, but...

I have a copy of Oracle XE on a laptop computer that I hadn't used for a while. After he sailed the http:// < host >/apex/apex_admin home page, today, I can not connect SYS or SYSTEM? I can connect OK for DB XE by SQLPLUS using these accounts, so know I use the password, what could be the problem? I get "invalid credentials"?

Thank you

Mike

Hello

OK, so you have improved the Apex on your XE.
After version 3.0, you cannot connect to the workspace with the user SYS or SYSTEM.
You have the workspace and workspace users to operate with Apex.
Even this link is for Apex 4.0, he explains the difference with Apex version provided by default XE 2.1 and later
http://www.Oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/Apex/upgrade-Apex-for-XE-154969.html
(I have not found page more where is the same but for Apex 3.2)

You can control the instance of the Apex and all the workspace workspace IN-HOUSE.
Connect to the workspace IN-HOUSE with the ADMIN user.

If you don't remember ADMIN password, download 3.2 install files.
http://www.Oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/Apex/3-098787.html

You can reset the ADMIN password with script apxchpwd.sql

Looks like it uses the driver g 11 then.
You can try to get around by changing your ORACLE_HOME in a batch (inside the sqldev folder) file:

set ORACLE_HOME = [your sqldev installation folder]
    Start sqldeveloper.exe

    Hope that helps,
    K.

  • Unable to connect to Oracle Database 11.2 XE Beta

    Hi all:

Try to connect to Oracle Database XE Beta 11.2, the fields are workspace, user name and password. How will I know the workspace.

    Thank you

When you try to open a session?

If you go to boot (http://127.0.0.1:8080/apex/f? p = 4950), should open the home page of the database.
Now click the tab "APEX" or red button, connection on request with a user name of database, and you will have the chance to create a workspace Apex.

See the XE getting started Guide - 6.1 [url http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17781_01/admin.112/e18585/toc.htm]. Getting started with Application Express

To explore the APEX, the Documentation Library [url http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17556_01/welcome.html] for APEX 4.0 should come in handy.

  • Unable to connect to Oracle Apps R12

    Hello

I have an Oracle Instance R12 installed on my laptop (middle-tier and the database). When I tried to launch the executable form in the responsibility of the system administrator after login, I got the following error:

FRM-92102: A network error has occurred. Customer Forms attempted to re-establish its connection to the Server 5 times without success. Please check the network connection and try again later.

I googled on this topic and found that changing networkretries setting helps.

I changed the parameter networkretries in the file $ORACLE_HOME/forms/server/formsweb.cfg of 0 to 30.

After that, I stopped the instance (adstpall.cmd) and started (adstrtal.cmd) again.

Now, when I run the (IE) browser and try to connect to the Oracle Apps instance, it gives me the following error:

    HTTP 500 Internal Server Error

The website cannot display the page

    HTTP 500

Any help on how to fix this would be appreciated.

    Kind regards

    Houta

Manual updates to the configuration files are to be avoided - AutoConfig should take care of everything, from where you are now I would say stopping and running again AutoConfig to see if that lets you go back to a working configuration.

You have not specified the R12 version, so I think that you have loaded an out-of-the 12.1.1 box on your laptop to test?

If I remember well 12.1.1 comes with JRE6 in the techstack, but is not the patch of Sun JRE interoperability (4377566) previously applied, it's something to check.

The forms out-of-the-box technology stack also needs the additional fixes to make it compatible JRE7.

Ref: Deployment Sun JRE (Native plug-ins) for Windows customers in Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 [393931.1 ID]

You really have deployed SSO as well, or is this the normal login page you are trying to do?

  • Unable to connect to Oracle DB Windows

Have an unusual situation. I have a g 10 DB on Windows XP that I am trying to connect remotely. Windows Firewall is confirmed off the COAST and for the test that I have port 1521 open on our internet router. All local machines can connect without a problem. Remote computers can TNSPING and get a line of 70ms (not too bad), but I get an ORA-12170 when you try to connect. Everything is set up correctly on the client

If I take a Linux machine with a database and put in its place I can connect remotely with no problems.

What could cause this behavior on thew Windows systems?

PS Ce is not the 1st time I've seen this behavior, but now I have to deal with.

The article may be too old, in the registry, it must be under

    \\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORACLE\Key_

And it's a string value on the right side of the registry window.

You can also set the parameter as an environment variable.

  • Unable to connect to oracle 10g on the local computer without internet

    Hello

I installed Oracle 10 g and toad on my laptop. Whenever I restart my laptop my IP changes as the network is shared by other machines too. Whenever this happens, I get the error "ORA-12541: TNS:no listner. So, I have to change the IP in tnsnmaes.ora whenever I restart my laptop to connect to the oracle database. Is there no workaround solution so that it is not necessary to edit tnsnames.ora everytime I restart the laptop? How can I connect to the database even if I am not connected to the internet (i.e. not an IP address).

    Thank you.

Your best bet is probably the loopback adapter, which gives you a fake fixed IP of Workaround DHCP.

Edit: I should learn to read what is better. However, the loopback adapter may still work in your case.

  • Unable to connect to Oracle after installation

    Hello

I'm trying to deploy an application that uses Oracle Express Edition 11 g. This is the first time I'm installation/use of Oracle, so probably I am doing it just wrong.
    Here's what I did:

    X 64 installed Open SUSE 12.1
    Logged as root
Downloaded and installed Oracle Express Edition 11.2 Release 2, command: rpm - U DownloadedOracleFile.rpm
Ran /etc/init.d/oracle-xe configure and set the port 8085 and listener 1521, also an auto-start enabled
Hit my head against the wall for three hours trying to launch SQLPLUS and finally the ORACLE_SID = ORCL and ORACLE_HOME=/u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/xe value

So now I'm stuck again because I can not log in to the Oracle instance (?).

1 type sqlplus and enter the password and user root:
    ERROR:
    ORA-01034: ORACLE not available
ORA-27101: shared memory realm does not exist
Linux-x86_64 error: 2: no such file or directory
    Process ID: 0
Session IDs: serial number 0: 0

2 sqlplus virtue sysdba says ERROR: ORA-01031: insufficient privileges

I've been trying to find information on this topic and oracle-xe configure should ask for some kind of password, but it never did. Reset password requires me to login as sysdba, which does not work.

    What I am doing wrong?

    Thank you
    Petrus

You try to use the OS authentication to connect to the database. It is disabled. to connect to the database, you will need to login as "sys as sysdba" and provide the password.

to do this, check your file sqlnet.ora for the sqlnet.authentication_services parameter
