Unable to connect to the mozilla forum

FF 14.0.1 update - I have now 2 dozen shortcuts that have been associated with FF - with no link.
When you click on it, I get the msg: "file has no associated program.
How do I re - associate.
I have also several IE shortcuts that have the same problem.

Please also try this: Windows Control Panel > default programs > associate a file or Protocol with a program type > search .url > Change Program > Browse and select Firefox.

    Using the current password which only had 6 characters - have now changed to 8 hope if this helps solve the problem.
    Have you noticed too there was an update of Mozilla on my laptop the day before that this problem then this could be the reason?

    6 characters is a very weak password. Consider using a password manager to generate longer and more complex passwords and to remember these passwords.

    I've updated to the latest version 35, but since then, the browser seems unable to connect to the internet. I thought it was my firewall that was blocking the program.     It is possible that your security (firewall, antivirus) software blocks or limit Firefox or the process of plugin-container without you inform, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.

  • At the opening of some Web pages I get a msg 'unable to connect to the server', but it works very well in startup

    The last few days during the use of the internet, some Web pages will not be not open. I get a msg of error saying 'unable to connect to the server', but it works very well with other sites such as Facebook and YouTube.  This happens when I use Safari, Firefox and Chrome.  Yet if I'm in Safe Boot mode it works fine.  I exaggerate the App installed VPN and when I am in normal mode and connect to the VPN exaggeration, all Web pages work correctly. I searched the net for days trying to find a solution but nothing I tried worked.  I'm not very computer savvy either so don't know much of what I do with this technical stuff.  I emptied the caches, but that did not work.  Following the advice of an answer to another question on this forum that was similar to mine, I went into the Terminal and performed a diagnostic test.  I don't understand all the information in this essay so hope someone here can decipher. The report is quite long, but this is the beginning of the pasted below.  Help, please!

    If a problem does not occur when it is started in safe mode, then you have already determined that the problem was isolated to a few 3rd party software running on your Mac.  Take a look at the information below to start with the removal of some elements of start-up and connection and see if the problem persists:

    Test your login items

    1. Choose the Apple menu > System Preferences, and then click users and groups.

    2. Click on your account under the current user name, and then click connection points.

      Make a list of the login items, you will need to remember later.

    3. Select all the elements of connection, and then click the button Delete .

    4. Choose the Apple menu > restart.

    5. If this solves the problem, reopen the preferences users and groups, add the elements of connection one at a time and restart your Mac after the addition of each of them.

      If the problem persists, follow the steps above to remove only the last element of connection that you added.

    I had a problem with my hp envy, which occurs a few weeks previously and now has decided to post here in the forum hp laptop because

    no solution can be found on the internet. Ive done a lot of research and try but nothing happens.

    I knew that the Synaptics Touchpad no longer works. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the driver, but I do help. I still see the touchpad in the listof material and devices.  And every time that select the properties of the mouse it still appears the message like this unable to connect to the Synaptics Pointing Device Driver, if you have installed a different ps 2 device driver scoring please uninstall the synaptics using the Yes button.  You must then reinstall your device external device driverfor score again. 

    In the control panel > Device Manager > display hidden devices under the mouse and other pointing device, there is a yellow triangle on the HP TOUCHPAD SMBUS.

    I really need your hp experts helps solve my laptop problem.

  • Firefox said it is unable to connect to the net but IE and the signal is strong

    Firefox has been great until this afternoon. Then all of a sudden it gave me an error message that he was "unable to connect." "" The laptop thinks it entirely connected wireless to the Homehub. I have been in contact with BT that kept me in line with IE and say that the problem is with Firefox. I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox and I'm still getting the message that it is unable to connect. Help, please!

    Hi, a newbie on this forum so here goes. I got the "fix Windows 7" virus on my laptop because my virus protection that flows. I downloaded AVG which solved some problems, but still not back to the original values. I reloaded Windows 7, but of course I lost all the software preloaded Toshiba & now cannot connect to the internet (laptop computer purchased through the catch of the day).

    What I need to download software/drivers toshiba etc. to address this problem. Thanks for any input.

    I have an officejet pro 8600plus. When I bought it, I have activated ePrint and registered my printer, but never used the feature. Since then, I updated from XP to windows 8.1, changed a router and connected the printer through a series of switches on a wired ethernet connection. A few days ago, I tried to use e print but received a message that I couldn't connect to the server.

    my printer prints fine, connects to each computer on my home network, I just upgraded the firmware with success to [personal information deleted]
    and yet, for more than three days, unable to connect to the server. I even deleted my account eprint printer, after changing his email successfully, but now I can not add new, I can't get the code because I can't activate the web plus services. I can scan from the printer to files network and all, but can't seem to activate eprint.

    Welcome to the HP Support forums.  I think since upgrade to 8.1 Windows and change your printer router cannot connect to web services to get the job of ePrint feature.

    Please define Manual of the printer an IP address manually and DNS servers. I've included a link to another post, I did it with the stages (including screenshots) how to do it.

    Toshiba satellite L650 laptop computer (with windows 7 64-bit), I bought two days back and I'm unable to connect to the public network.     Can you connect to your home WIFI router correctly?

    If you have problems with the public network connection, you should ask the owner of these networks. Usually, there is always a contact, you can ask if you have any problems with the connection.

    What you can try is updated WLAN driver from Toshiba's official website:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

    If it doesn't work, ask the person contact I mentioned.

    msnews and msn newsservers and groups are gone.  There are a few free newsservers, such that news://nntp.aioe.org , but a pottery forum is empty.  There are also some newsservers that you can pay for.  You could try emailing somone who already contacted you in the other forums to see if they have suggestions and what they are doing in this regard.

Renewal of your IP address.  Works with Windows XP SP2, IE 8.00.6001.18702 file, I think that Version 3.  It has been installed on a disk provided by Microsoft after that old installation became corrupt (in the sense of Microsoft technical support.)  Before that, wireless network worked well.   (So unable to connect to the Internet for updates.)   Have tried to change the other settings and different messages acquired when it SHOWS that I am connected but cannot connect because of something to do with the certificate.  I don't remember what I did to try to solve this problem in the last days.

    I should add that I have tried the solutions of the previous forum on this topic, and none worked.
