  I have an application that I downloaded from the App Store of Windows 8 (RTM version), who has recently had an update, but Windows Store could not be updated and returned the error code 80070057 0 x.  But after the update failed, Windows Store still lists old as installed APP and calls the updated application.  I tried reapplying the update but it keeps fails with the error 0 x 80070057.  I tried to look for ways to uninstall it, but the Live tile has been removed from the home screen (not listed under all the Apps either), so there is no way to uninstall it.  Now I'm stuck with Windows Store perpetually asking the updated application.
  Does anyone know how to uninstall a Windows 8 application without the Live tile?  Thank you.

  Open Explorer and in the navigation bar, type \AppDatausernamec:\users\

  Replace username with your actual user name, for example c:\users\debbie\appdata

  It is a hidden folder, you cannot display it by default unless you authorize the display of hidden folders.

  exactly the same problem but I don't have windows 8 pro edition so I can't use gpedit.msc any idea to solve this? I tried all five options and none worked.

  BTW, I think it's STUPID friggin of microsoft to have as much of the element related to group policy, but not GPedit.msc on windows 8 regular edition!... friggin delayed.

  I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question about your HP Pavilion Notebook g6 and the error code is 0x80072EFD appearing as you try to use the App Store 10. Here is a linkfrom Microsoft which indicates there is a required update.

  You can try to use theWindows Update Troubleshooter to fix updates that do not come through Windows 10.  Please restart the laptop twice to make sure that all updates are completed!

  Here is a document that shows how update the drivers that do not work correctly with Windows 10.

  If you run a virus protection program, try to disable it temporarily.

  If that doesn't help, do a right-click on the app Store of Windows and then uninstall it. Before reinstalling.

  All of a sudden when I try to open the app store Windows 8 instead of take me to the store the Soft green loading screen flashes to the top, and then it takes me to my Start menu.  I can my point on the left upper screen and see the app is there, but when I switch to it I'm get the green flash App loading screen and then right into my Start menu.

  I create the application using DPS, and there is no problems... Download the .ipa to the desktop without any problem

  but when I try to load it on the iPad and the sync I get the "app name 1"cannot install the error message. "

  -recreate a new app ID

  -recreate the supply and distribution profiles

  I had to create a new development and provision of certificates because the 'old' expired today (and I deleted the 'old'... and have since disappeared and assigned the new certificates for the old profiles and redownloaded them)

  I put another application so I don't think it's related to certificates... but I am at a loss of ideas and I'm going in slow circles...

  I don't create new P12 with new certificates... I have done this now and the problem is solved... do not think that if the P12 was wrong they would allow me to build the application in DPS!
