Unable to delete the account...
Hi, I'm a newbie to this phone (Palm Pre - (ISP) Bell Canada) and I have a few problems to delete an account that was setup when the phone was 1
bought.
OK, the phone is not mine, but our Senior VP. He is a geek (but not a located 1...)
So what he was doing when he got his phone has been to set up a bad google (ex [email protected]) and not a gmail account
in accordance with what should be the installer...
He also missed this account up to such a degree, that the phone would not synchronize with him...
So what I had to do is set up a new Google account for him (ex [email protected]) and then reset (do a Full delete) of his pre to hopefully allow me to
make its flaw represent the new gmail account (which I couldn't do before)
It worked... as I could now select representing each app to sync with (Mail/Calendar/Contacts).
I was also allowed to remove (ex [email protected]) account from the phone, which was great.
I also connected the web console to Palm Pre and made his account email and password, the same as the new gmail account I created for him.
The problem is... is that the phone still sees his old account (ex [email protected]), though even I have (to my knowledge the best) deleted!
It does not appear if I look at the profile of account on the phone, but it's done when I look at my sync preferences in the calendar...
What I'm doing wrong here?
This VP has a wizard with the exact phone (that has not done before the installer of the device until I could get my hands on it) and after installation, it works great!
Any help would be great... I need to remove all know of his former account please...

I hopefully fixed the problem with the Pre (crazy account).
I spoke to the Palm Tech guys about this problem and finally found 1 who knew what I
spoke.
What I had to do was 2 times...
1. I had to kill (disable) the cloud of Palm device backup (backup icon is in the launcher)
2 - once on a 5 min wait, I had to do a full device erase (the device to factory default settings)
The reason for the fork in backup, was to kill all the information on the phone on the Palm site.
This would prevent any old gmail account information to reappear when I re-setup of the phone again.
After resetting the phone and create a new gmail account. I did another "data-transfer-Agent" of Palm Desktop
and sync then had the device with google again.
So far, everything seems good... It has 1 calendar and not 3.
There is a bug in the palm software, and he showed it's ugly nose during my 2 week with this device.
Even if I had deleted accounts old Google out of the Meadow, every time I would entirely erase the Pre, the
account would NOT show up on the device, BUT when you select another gmail (new) account to sync the calendar
events (during the data synchronization process 1)... the events would be placed on an OLD account (deleted)... 1 which do not arise on the list of peripheral accounts.
It seems that when you delete an account out of the device, the Palm site does not delete it form your configuration information.
in any case, everything seems ok now... (crossing my fingers)

'Delete account' option grayed out. Can not delete the account.

How do I change or delete the account MotoBlur on the phone?

To configure a new account MOTOBLUR, you will need to do a factory data reset the phone. It will be like you are turning it on for the first time. When you start, you will be able to create a new BLUR account and customize all by yourself.
Click on the Menu (four squares), then tap Settings > storage and SD card > data Facotry reset. It will ask you if you are sure and will tell you it's going to erase everything. Tap through and the phone will restart.

Cannot delete the account of a user with administrator rights
I want to remove a user who has administrator rights account. Win XP machine has two users (Administrator and a user name) that both are of type of administrator account.
I you as an administrator and should be able to change the other named to Limited user account, but for Limited is greyed out. The option to delete the named account is not present.
How can I delete this account, leaving only administrator?
Often, I find that using the command line commands gives errors better when you can not do something. Try the following:
o bring a window prompt (start-> Run-> "cmd")
o enter the following command in the window:
net localgroup administrators
o that it must return a list of all users with administrator privileges. You should see the built-in user 'Administrator' and your other user (assuming that both have administrator privileges). To remove administrator privileges from the user (assuming that this another username is "Joe"), then enter the following command:
net localgroup administrators Joe/remove
If this is not possible, an error no doubt will provide you with enough information.
