Unable to download a driver for an external drive Seagate - ST3160318AS.

My PC Device Manager recognizes the newly installed hardware, install a driver but all attempts have failed. No installation CD is provided with this unit. I am inclined to believe the necessary software pre-installed, but the reader will show it, or give it up.
The diagnostic analysis results indicate that all is well with the drive. It recently bought [yesterday] 'External Drive' sits like a useless piece with her running light 'on' and unusable for the lack of a "Driver".

As soon as these have been removed, my computer is back to character, recognized the Seagate external hard drive and the appropriate screen is appeared on the screen after that was revealed the "dashboard" which allowed for the programming of the backup of 13.3 GB of data on the internal drive which eventually ended without incident.

So, now, all right and if I never see Claro again it must be too early.

HDS most don't require software and drivers, if USB connected, and then try to update

youre chipset software/drivers, this includes USB with it... In addition, you are in the hd's

probably installed ok, you just need to get xp to run with him. To do this, go

to run, type: diskmgmt.msc

    I tried to do an update for microsoft works and it always fails.  I just bought this computer in March and it has windows 7 on it.  I get the following error message: the component that you are trying to use is on a CD-Rom or another removable disk that is not available.  Insert the disc of microsoft works, and then click ok.

    I watched all the cd that I got when I bought this brand new computer, but I don't see one that says Microsoft Works on it.  Anyone know what I can do to fix this?

    I bought a Dell Intel Core Dueo, 64-bit CPU with the computer in Windows 7 Home Premium, about 9 months ago.     I had the same problem and I had to disable my firewall to download the license key. I thought that without security my system would be harmed, but I had no problem and everything went back and manually restored all of my safety.
