Unable to download updates of Microsoft

Good day to you.

Ask your help, please.

I've been trying to download the package in bulk of updates from Microsoft in the past days and lose a lot of megas, because the dialog box says: continue to download, and still nothing being downloaded. The complete symbol of 0% for downloads remains the same.  I was on the internet for help downloads and still nothing.

How to do downloads?

I downloaded the program of Mr. Fixit, and he disappeared. I can not even find it, to help me fix everything that's wrong with the download of most updated Microsoft.

Your help in this is greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much

Paula

  • Why static DNS server address round get the unable to download updates 8024402C problem in WIN7?

I got a work around for the unable to download problem error 8024402C updated on a new laptop WIN7 Starter running.  I get regarding the size of the update and starts to download, but nothing comes down.  The solution is to change the DNS settings of default for a manually configured DNS server, for example 4.2.2.2.  It works, but I wonder why, and what is he moving?

The auto setting worked when I was in the United States connecting via a LAN in the hotel but not here at home in AUS, where the settings auto search for an address DNS 192.168.1.1, my router ADSL/2.  All other functions like Skype, Adobe updated, download of MS shop, all work very well using 192.168.1.1.  Also my XP Home PC, all use 192.168.1.1 and they get the updates without any problem.

-What is someone able to explain why?

    Thank you

    Hi ascidiens,

The 0x8024402C error codes typically occur because there is an incorrect character in substitution of proxy settings. Basically, it's something to do with the proxy of your connection settings network and which can be overcome by changing the DNS settings in manual.

Bad adjustment System (DNS) domain name of your network connection may also cause this error. Update Windows servers are accessible through DNS servers configured for Internet access. If a local DNS server has changed for some reason, the Windows Update client isn't able to find and connect to the Windows Update server.

I would like to know if refer to a Microsoft article to work around this problem by changing the settings default for a manually configured DNS server DNS (Domain Name System).

I would say to you to follow the steps mentioned in the link below for the complete solution of the problem

    Hello

I don't know what the error code actually means but based on the description of the Support of Microsoft, it seems that Wups2.dll is incorrectly registered.

  • Cannot download updates, Java, Microsoft Fixit

I've had problems for a while trying to update the programs, such as Citrix and others and trying to install Java on Windows 7.

I have tried and failed to get MS Fixit to download.  I use a system at home and I think that my system is overprotected running Windows Security essentials and Windows Firewall with advanced security.  I see that Windows Firewall Advanced is to network and systems not designed to home systems.  Could it be causing my headaches?  How to solve this?

    Hello

Thanks for posting your query on the Microsoft Community.

According to the description, I understand that you are unable to download programs.

This could be due to conflicts between third-party applications.

I would like to know some information.

    1. You get no matter what error code or error message?

    Try the methods.

    Method 1:

Step 1: Start the computer in safe mode with network.

See: , start your computer in safe mode

Step 2: Perform the clean boot

Put your system to the clean boot state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. You must follow the steps in the article mentioned below to perform a clean boot.

How to perform a clean boot in Windows

Note: see "How to reset the computer to start normally after a boot minimum troubleshooting" to prepare the computer to start as usual after troubleshooting.

    Method 2:

    Disable security software

See: , disable the anti-virus software

Important: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attack.

Hope this information helps. Please let us know if you need any other help with Windows in the future. We will be happy to help you.

My computer will display currently dates of my microsoft word 98-2002. My operating system is windows XP Professional.  If it will correct what free download should I use?

    Hello Tereasamiller,

This thread has been created in the Forum update of Windows XP; the Microsoft moderation team has moved this thread on the Forum of Windows XP programs.

Alternatively you can also go here: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/391736 and see if that helps with your problem. This seems to be a problem with the program Adobe Reader.

The Docx the Tech mentioned is the extension of the files Microsoft Office Word 2010 document. They may have been mentioning this to let you know that your daughter may need Office 2010 to view these files sent by the teacher.

  • Why can not download updates from Microsoft?

I have a laptop that is running Windows Vista and I was not able to install updates from Microsoft for a long time. As a first step, what he did but one day, after an update it just stopped working. It will always fail, and sometimes I get a message saying that he does not configure so it. I solved this problem temporarily but just manually download the update from the Microsoft site that works but as of lately, I'm getting loads of updates (like 30 at a time) and it's just too many things to be updated manually. Also, I'm running in the updates that were as different versions (like x 64 KB34567 or KB34567 ie43) and I don't know which one I need. I would really like it if my computer would download these updates on their own. Does anyone know how to fix this?

The update of Windows becomes boring because whenever I get the said I have a ton of important updates for Microsoft, but then I can't download them so he just keeps popping up.

You receive errors related to updates?

    1. Open Windows Update by clicking the Start button, all programs and then click Windows Update.
    2. In the left pane, click view update history.
      http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/see-which-Windows-updates-are-installed
    3. Find an update for Windows that has failed to install, and then double-click the update to view more information.
Updates that have failed to install will display failed under status, next to the name of update.
    4. In the Windows Update dialog box, next to the details of the error, review the error code for the update has failed.
    5. Follow the links in the Windows Update dialog box under more information or help and Support to resolve the problem, then try to reinstall updates by using Windows Update in Control Panel or by mail with the error code and maybe someone may be able to help others.
