Put the new video card into m9000 with an edge

I need this m9000 to be able to output to two screens (where the office is extended and the mouse moves between).  It has an integrated video card, so I guess I'd need to purchase and install a separate to get this feature.  I've never been a video card to a computer that already has an edge - is - how complicated?

Hello

Your PC has only a 350 Watt PSU unless you had replaced him with a bigger power supply.  The NVIDIA 450 needs a 400 Watt power supply.

This NVIDIA GT 440 1 GB DDR5 will work with a 350 Watt PSU.

Review the performance of NVIDIA specifications. Look at the specifications of strip memory bandwidth and level of DirectX support.

  • Pavilion Slimline s3120N will not recognize the new video card

I can't get my computer to recognize and use a new video card. I tried 3 cards (GeForce 8400GS... cards 2different and Radeon HD 4550). The computer continues using the onboard video. For each card, I did the following:

Go to configuration, advanced and changed the main graphics card 'on board' to 'PCI-E '.

Saved and let the computer start.

Stop and insert the new video card into the PCI-E slot

Start the computer and installed the latest driver

    Computer restarts

No matter what I do, it always uses the embedded video. I am running Windows 7 Home Premium. How can I use the PCI-E slot/video card? Any suggestions?

I think that your problem may be the power supply unit (PSU).  The video card that you have installed require a minimum of 300W/350W.  The power supply of your computer is perhaps only 180W; 220W at the most.  You can check by opening the case and by reading the label on.  It's just too much difference for the card to function properly.

  • H8 1241: problems with the new video card on h8 1241

OK, I've seen a lot of posts on this topic, but I couldn't find anything yet. I bought this computer as a windows 7, but have just upgraded to windows 10. The stock video card HDMI port came out, so I ordered an ASUS Geforce gtx 750ti to replace.

When I try to boot with the new card I get the blue screen that tells me to Press esc to get into the BIOS, but it is freezing it (I am not able to get into the bios).

Currently, the only way to make changes are re - insert my old card. I can not even start without secondary card by using the on-Board (which could as a result of the changes that I made in the BIOS). Most of the solutions I've seen involved changes in version 8 of the BIOS but I can't get that. I tried to update my BIOS to the latest version for windows 7, but I don't think it worked b/c I am on windows 10 now.

    Help, please!

    Hello

The level of your PC motherboard BIOS is not compatible with the cards NVIDIA GXT 7xx series.

Contact ASUS to obtain redress. ASUS has maybe a video BIOS update or a different graphics card that will work in your PC.

A NVIDIA GTX 660 new or used may be your best bet.

Thanks for posting on the forum.

    Hi JM,

Did you remove the Intel HD graphics drivers prior to installing the ATI graphics card?

Your PC comes with one of the following built-in Intel graphics drivers:

    • Graphics Intel HD 4400 (GT2)

  • 310 - 1125y in expansion with the new video card?

I have a HP all-in-one TouchSmart 310-1125y and would like to know if this PC support the installation of a new video card.  It comes with an integrated ATI Radeon HD 4270 support.  I did some research and have the impression that this PC is not particularly expansive.  Thanks in advance for your help.

Here are the specifications of your desktop HP TouchSmart 310-1125y and its custom Quanta DA0NZ2MB6A0 (HP Aronia) motherboard. According to the specifications, there is no provision for the installation of a new video graphics card.

  • Install the new video card

I have a HP Pavilion m7500y PC running Windows XP. I would like to install a new video card to display on both monitors. Installing a video card is possible with this machine? The card I have has a VGA, HDMI and a DVI input connection. If possible, do I need anything special to install and use this card? Thank you for your help.

I wouldn't worry the food until the video card is selected.  Decide if a new power supply is needed.  Many new cards high power have a 'special' which will have all the power supplies.  According to the map, adapters for power fittings may come with the card.  A respected power supply name is Cosair, Antec, or Thermalake, but many are just as reliable at the best prices.

  • Installation for the new video card will not work. Message "Hardware not detected" what's the problem?

Windows XP Home Edition. Motherboard ASUS P4PE. (Old) NVIDIA geforce4 TI 4400 failed - video card replaced by Prowler Radeon 7000 64 MB agp (Mad Dog). The black screen with the old card and bought a new one. At out the old card and installed a new.  Start the computer and graphics were. With Nvidia drivers installed, display settings could be changed. Device, 'Monitor' Manager showed now default monitor instead of good Sony monitor. Remove all drivers video and rebooted.  Screen "new hardware found" appeared, but I couldn't get the new drivers loaded. I inserted the disc by the manufacturer, but the pilots has not can be detected. Has attempted to launch "Setup" on the disc, but received a material not found error message. Yellow mark points to "Other devices" and the hyphen "VGA Display adapters". No 'monitor' in Device Manager. Tried to turn off the windows firewall and Virus software. I tried windows update. Still have a problem. What's wrong?

The old drivers must remove the first test pilot seeper guru3d.

The nvidia Setup program should find the material but otherwise download the latest version of the software from their Web site.  They must be the pilot, right down to the revision number, not only the model number.

  • 800 - 030qe envy: conflict with the new video card

I bought and installed an EVGA GEForce GTX960 graphics card and discovered a conflict with the SATA cable on the motherboard connector. EVGA has recommended that I find a SATA cable with a connector at right angles. Can anyone suggest a source for a suitable cable? Mine is red (?).

    @bobsun2, welcome to the forum.

This is a cable that should work for you.

  • Simple Question - thinking of buying the new video card - HPE Pavillion H8 1020-

I think to buy an AMD Radeon R7 x 260, is my PC (HPE Pavillion H8-1020) compatible with this card? I'll be able to simply switch to him?

    Hello

Some variants of the R7 AMD x 260 can run and others may not work. Contact Sapphire and investigate who have need for a model no UEFI that supports of four monitors (by you in other post).  You will also need a 500 Watt power supply.

  • New video card, what parts of the software should I install?

    Hello!

I just built a new computer for a customer who is a photographer. For the best possible performance with the new video card NVIDIA GTX 760 and Photoshop CC, what elements of the software NVIDIA should I install, or even avoid? Or do I just install everything what it offers? This system will ONLY be used for retouching... no games, etc.

Driver software of 344.11 displays the following:

    Graphics driver (Duh)

    3D Vision controller driver

    Pilot 3D Vision

    HD Audio Driver

    Miracast virtual Audio

    NVIDIA GeForce experience

    PhysX System Software

Thank you very much for your help!

    Gregg Hill

I installed everything except the "NVIDIA GeForce Experience" element.

I put the computer today, and my client will get loaded and tested PS later today. She should be happy!

Thank you very much for your answers.

  • New video card kills her

I decided to add a video card to my HP Pavilion a1640n (intel) computer Windows XP Media Center.  I'm not a gamer, so I chose a cheap express card ATI Radeon PCI with 256 MB of memory [PowerColor HD3450].  After deactivation of the graphics card integrated and the installation of the new video card and drivers, I had beautiful graphics but no sound.   [Physical connections seemed good as well as the volume of my computer settings is not on mute;]  When I removed the video card and re-activated the integrated graphic card, my returned his computer.

What can I do to try to get the sound works with a new graphics card?

    Thank you.

Try going into the BIOS and under change Onboard Sound it self to "Enabled".

I heard that it suits it.

  • New video card conflict?

I just installed a Zotec GT240 video card in my pc m7650n. It is one of the few my 300w power supply will support so I don't want to give up on this to guickly.

The problem is when I install my realtek sound devices 'missing '. I hear through my USB headset, but nothing in my speakers and no option to change the output device. I'm not showing any conflict in Control Panel. Try re-installing the drivers realtek just puts me a message that "microsoft UAA HD drivers must be present", even if they are already installed.

If I pull back video card it comes down real easily so I wonder if the audio has covered somehow on the integrated graphical subsystem. I'm not a great player, but I would like to be able to occasionally run the sims 3.

    Any suggestions?

    Hello

With the new video card installed, enter your bios menu (tap away at f1 or f10 when you start the PC - try f1 first).  Under the control of tab advanced which Onboard Audio is set to active.  If you need to make a change, press f10 and Yes to save the changes and see if that helped.

  • Pavilion HPE 440F: need new video card for HPE-440F

    Salvation;

The ATI Radeon HD 5570 in my Pavilion HPE 440F appears to be dead, or is doing. The fan has stopped working and I think the map has overheated.

    I'm running Windows 7 x 64.

Anyway - I would like to install a new card - and best video. It is, since it is HP, I bet that not all cards are compatible with my system.

For example, I can buy an ATI Radeon SR-290, which gets much higher than my current card pass mark. Or maybe even a NVidia card might be a better value for the money.

Can someone point me to a list of compatible video cards for my system?

    Thank you

    Ubuntu_Kid

p.s. My Linux box is not an HP.

    Ubuntu_Kid, welcome to the forum.

The problem you are having is, most of the newer video cards require UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard BIOS.  HP didn't start using UEFI until mid-October 2012.  Your computer was released on August 26, 2010.

Some of the manufacturers have developed a VBIOS that will allow their cards to work with legacy BIOS.  I know that the EVGA has done with some of their cards.  I suggest to call their Tech Support (1888-880-3842) to see if they have a card that will work with your computer.
