  Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of vista recovery discs and also ask them if you have a vista recovery partition on your hard drive to reinstall vista back to factory standards

  I have no idea, I suggest you to ask what you actually do on a forum of Ubuntu Linux. My guess is that you have completely replaced the files with the 'old', so the data are missing. Long experience which is anything "System Restore" or "system reset" will lead to nothing other than high blood pressure, gnashing of teeth and the loss data.

  3. According to the minimum requirements referred to in the help document, Vista is supported up to Photoshop CS5 and products & PSE 12 and under products. Anything above that might work / might not work, but we do not recommend using Photoshop or Photoshop elements 13 on Vista because it might be the problem of compatibility and support limits.

  Thanks for posting.  It sounds like you have used the restore\backup OEM utility to restore the system.  If that is correct, then you will need to check with the manufacturer to learn how to restore your files from your PC.  If you used the backup utility built into XP you just run it again and follow the steps to restore your files.
