  BIOS update is for the 32 - bit version, and it will not work under 64-bit operating system. What you can do? Use recovery media and install the 32-bit version, do BIOS update and install the 64-bit version again. A lot of work but I don't see any other solution.

  I can't run the binary Lightroom_4_LS11_win_4_4_1.exe at all on my hard drive, which is the format NTFS.

  The simple solution is to copy Lightroom_4_LS11_win_4_4_1.exe on my WD Passport external hard disk which is FAT32 and double click on it from there and extraction / installation is complete and Lightroom 4.4.1 works well.

  I thank Adobe, really 'strong' programming mode.
