It is not recognized at all. Only (weird thing) Vista recognized it for opening .bmp and Photoshop has been listed as a program for this parameter. It will not recognize Photoshop for default opening of the .jpg, .jpeg, gif and tiff. It would really help find a solution for what I use Photoshop in my work. Thank you.

• Unable to choose Photoshop CS6 as default application for files JPEG, Win7

  Suddenly, I am unable to choose Photoshop CS6 as the 'Open with' default app in Win7 when I try to open JPEG files.

  I updated Adobe Application Manager and he said Photoshop CS6 is installed and I am able to open Photoshop CS6 without receiving the error 'trial version' more - even if it was a problem until I upgraded to AAM.

  I was able to change the default value of Viewer Windows for Photoshop photo on my Win 7 machine successfully. The steps that I followed:

  1. Open the control panel in the start menu.
  2. Mine is located on the top ' view by ' category. I clicked on (green link) programs.
  3. Under default programs, I clicked on the blue link to "make a type of file always open in a specific program.
  4. Wait for "Loading."... ». at the end make sure that the list is sorted by name and scroll down to ".jpg". Select it and click the button "Change program...". ».
  5. Do not see that Photoshop listed in recommended programs, to do this, click the small triangle right of other programs. Choose Photoshop and click on the OK button.
  6. Wait for the list to reload and confirm the association has changed.

  Note that you probably need to change this for .jp2, .jpe and .jpeg too in addition to some .jpg.

  Although the problem is not the same, please follow the instructions in this article to support to reset the launch Services database.

  Instead type the command as shown in the article, I suggest that you copy and paste the web page in the Terminal window. Make sure you only select the whole line before copying. One way to do that is to triple - click anywhere in the line.

  If you do not already have a current backup, back up all data before proceeding. You should perhaps log out or restart to see a change.

  I'm trying to find a way to define a default value for the 'Maximum use rendered quality' box located on the dialog window export settings. Is it possible to programmatically set a value for this box (maybe in the call to exSDKGenerateDefaultParams)? Or would a value 'default' for this box be treated by creating a "Preset"?

  It is the exporter to use the setting provided by the host in exDoExportRec.maximumRenderQuality.  The exporter must define SequenceRender_ParamsRec.inRenderQuality and inDeinterlaceQuality to kPrRenderQuality_Max, if the value.

  I have the free version of the adobe 9 reader, I know that I can set as default pdf printer and this way its how I always know how to create a pdf file. I don't know why, when I choose print a word document, that it does not show the pdf printer it shows that fax and word XPS document. How can I set the default pdf printer? Please help I know its possible this is how I always use it.

  You can use the Ctrl key and then click with the regular selection tool, clicking with ctrl will make a new keyframe. in this way, have no need for the tools. CTRL has other great shortcuts that will stop you having to spend retouching pads tools too.

  If the automation keyframe line is missing, you can switch on and off in the menu sequence.

• Cannot set the default email in apple mail client

  Hi all

  I have a rather unusual problem. I'm on El captain, and I have 16 Mac Office installed (Outlook).

  When I go in my OS X mail client, and go to Preferences-> general-> default mail reader, it shows currently Outlook.

  When I go ahead and select Mail and then close the window and then return the preferences window, it switches back to Outlook.

  I can't set mail as my default mail client, which also live up to my sheet on part of Safari options (shows Outlook, no email).

  Is there another way in the system to set my default mail client, which will remain?

  I went the Outlook preferences, and there is no option to be found to set or no set Outlook as the default e-mail client. Strange.

  Any help would be appreciated!

  You can also set this option in Outlook preferences. Try here. I don't have the app to check where, but I think it is located on the general tab.

  If you right-click on the document and select 'Open with', you will be able to select 'Word' in the drop-down list and set it as the default...

  According to the exact file type, you may also be able to select "WordPad", which may be faster or easier to use.

  Finally figured it out! I just went in the rededit folder, copy, deleted the line of code, and then reinstated it with the correct code (same code she had in) and it works perfectly - same watch upward in default programs!

I uninstalled Firefox, restarted, set Edge as default, rebooted, reinstalled Firefox using the option 'Make Firefox the default browser' and rebooted. No matter what the settings are made and Firefox is default, when I click on a URL link, I get a dialog box "How do you want to open this file", Firefox is highlighted, I click on the check box always 'use this app' and click OK. Firefox opens and displays the page. Thereafter, whenever I click on a URL link I get the pop up and choose Firefox. It doesn't matter if a Firefox session is active or Firefox is closed. What I am doing wrong?

  This was a problem when you try to set one browser by default other than IE (now Edge) on Windows. Firefox has had the most problems over the years, trying to get himself defined as default browser. I can't tell if Chrome has had the same problem either. But I feel that they have had a hard time with her also.

  In the interest to see what works and what does not work, could you not install the Chrome browser and by setting the default value to see if it does indeed remain the browser by default when you click on any url? Please test the links of the opening a few times before you say that it works without problem.

  I'll be tracking of any workaround to set Firefox as the default browser in the meantime. But, be aware that Microsoft is the enemy here. As they do on board the default browser at any price.
