  I have exactly the same problem. I have an ipad 2, using 9.2.1. I have problems with Facetime and iMessage. I tried all of the suggestions I found on the internet, such as:

  • hard reset (duh!);
  • Logging out of my ID apple and logging, then return
  • turning my date and time setting to set automatically.
  • turn on airplane mode, then turning on wi - fi;
  • Restore my factory default network configuration.

  Somehow, iMessage features have been restored, although I can't figure out why it was restored. I checked after each blow dry and found no change. Then all of a sudden, it was restored to iMessage.

  I still can't use Facetime. I'm reluctant to try to do everything above again because I'm afraid that I'll lose iMessage.

  I can't sign in iMessage (Macbook Pro, early 2011) after upgrade to El Capitan 10.11.1 OS x 10.8.5. I have reset the passwords for my two Apple ID, out of the iCloud, signed and still cannot connect in iMessage. Diagnosis: "year error occurred during authentication.  All other applications (and machines, see below) with iCloud connections & shared data work without problems. Machine also crossed several reboots at least two resets of LANDAU. Any suggestions for next steps?

  The same update of the iCloud OS X 10.8.5 log 10.11.1 and subsequent out / in the sequence was repeated on my other Macbook Pro (mid-2012).  iMessage balls in and functions properly in this regard.

  My iPhone 6 + wife 5s and iPad Mini 1st generation (all with the same Apple ID & iOS 9.1), either have no problem with iMessage. Two Macbook pros are running 16 GB of RAM drives, backup of OWC data with the 480 GB SSD boot in original position of HD floppies and mechanical in the optical Bay. All devices are on the same time zone time, selected auto (CST).

  Updated - repair of Ran in Keychain Access.  Ran disk first aid utility.  Restart in Mode safe and by logging in to my account resulted in functional iMessage.  After restarting mode Normal iMessage remained functional.  A VICTORY.

  I got my iphone brand new 5 Friday everything works fine! Really happy with it, as this is my first iphone. I tried to activate facetime and imessage, but it keeps failing. I reset the phone and other troubleshooting activities all to nothing does not. My service provider says it's a matter of Apple Apple says that it is the problem of my career. 7 hours trying to resolve this issue still not right. My apple id, it's all good so help someone?

  When you connect to FaceTime or Messages on another device, another peripheral other device using this same ID will get the message that has been signed to. Some iOS (and OSX) update log for other devices will get the message when that happens.

  I've been using FaceTime and iMessage for many years on my iPad.  Some time yesterday both stop working.  I can't make a call FT (for my iPhone or abroad).  All calls 'will not ring"while calling, then the 'FaceTime' unavailable message under the name called.  Messages get a "issued no.

  WiFi is connected (e-mail and Web sites works very well).  I have reset networking on the iPad (as hard power turned off/turned on), but also power/turn off the modem and wifi at the airport.  A test, I connected the iPad for the "hotspot" wifi on my iPhone (which is connected to wifi even) and that worked very well.  But connected via wifi to the normal House nor app works.  As well my iPhone and my wife FT & iMessage work very well using the wifi at home even.

  I need to correct the above message about the connection "hotspot" WiFi at home.  When I connect to the hotspot the ipad, the iphone automatically connects to the cellular network (with wifi turned off).  Then put the iphone on home network wifi disconnects the connection hotspot to the iPad.  I sorry for this confusion.  The two iPhones still FT & iMessage using wifi at home without any problems.  It's just the 2 iPad applications that do not work using wifi at home.

  This started in FF 10. For some reason any on my main desktop computer, I can not sign in my you tube account. This occur only on this computer. I get no indication of an error, but when I get my e-mail address and password on the page of Youtube you tube homepage access code appears again with the sign on the button instead of my username. And more far onve tried to sign, even though the Web page displays the signon button when I press it, nothing seems to happen. I never get the sign on the new page.   Thank you. I fixed it by going to about: permissions and looking for the youtube url ('you' entered in the search box of the site). When I chose the URL www.youtube.com value cookies has been blocked. So I unlocked it and now I am able to sign into my account. Thank you.
