Unable to start - start the computer to a distorted screen

original title: unknown problem with repair/recovery, tiles strange system startup screen? Help!

Lately, my computer acted up (Dell XPS 410 w / Vista Home Premium so this is important) and when I start the computer and access the boot screen, I get what looks like this (see 3rd photo link). Usually the Startup Repair resolved the problem for a short period of time. This morning I tried it again, when he said he failed and received an error message (see photo 2 links first). Note: I could not can not send in an error report because the computer that it is is not connected to the internet.

Does anyone have a solution? Thanks advance.

Gentlemen thank you very much for the replies so far.

I tried to do the Startup Repair once more and I went into the details of it, and he said that the cause was recognized as "a recent driver installation or upgrade may prevent the system from starting". That is rather confusing, because I don't have NO idea what driver it might be.

At this moment I am boot from the Vista disc supplied. I hope I can find a solution that is one of the many that you guys have provided so far.

EDIT: She apparently did not work...

You can normally make repairs since the Dell recovery disks.

Read this and if necessary, do you do a startup repair disk:

Follow these steps to try to solve your problems of boot.

Restore point:

http://www.howtogeek.com/HOWTO/Windows-Vista/using-Windows-Vista-system-restore/

Do Safe Mode system restore, if it is impossible to do in Normal Mode.

Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

http://www.windowsvistauserguide.com/system_restore.htm

Read the above for a very good graph shows how backward more than 5 days in the System Restore Points by checking the correct box.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If the system or Mode restore safe work not and you do not have a Microsoft Vista DVD, make a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:
Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.
NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.
Read all the info on the website on how to create and use:
http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2008/Windows-Vista-recovery-disc-download/
ISO Burner:http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html
It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.
You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.
It is NOT a disc of resettlement.
And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.
See you soon.
  • Error CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED in a blue screen; Unable to start the computer in Mode safe.
    Original title: Critics of the process is dead
    Hello
    Yesterday, my Acer Aspire given bsod with the critical error process is dead.  I am on Windows 8 and cannot enter the old f8 for safe mode to fix.
    I don't have a disc of Windows 8, I downloaded Microsoft 8.  Acer not supplied with Windows 7 preinstalled, so once again no disc.  Microsoft when I asked how do to access safe mode tried to charge me $ 99 more taxes to do this.
    Does anyone know how to access the mode without failure under Windows 8 in does not?
    Thank you
    I usually access SafeMode in this way. Go to made CMD.exe right click and run as administrator. Then type msconfig. When it opens, go to start at the top and then click safe mode. You might be able to do this if you are able to get an installation media for windows8. There is a command-line option when you go to fix your computer. You might be able to do it here because you cannot start windows.
  • Installation of Vista on the new hard drive was interrupted, and now I can not start the computer
    So I decided that I need a bigger hard drive. I got a 500 GB hard drive, so I have it PLOPPED in my Acer Aspire 5517 with my vista boot drive, turned on and began to go through the process. Once he got to the phase 'installation complete' it seems to take a while, so I let it run all night. Once I got up, it was on a black screen with the mouse, I let stand a few more minutes but still nothing. I turned off and started it expects to find to return at the beginning of the installation, but instead he began to start from what is on the hard drive at this time. It got to the screen with the loading bar and the sign 'Microsoft Corporation'. The loading bar was very frigidity and stopped and started randomly. I let it do this while I went to school, but when I got home, it was always the same loading screen. I rebooted and tried to start in safe mode, but when I do it it stops at crcdisk.sys, and never forwarded charges. I tried to do the reset thing factory start it but that doesn't seem to work. My other puny hard drive still works, but the other does not. I searched the internet but have not seen any other problem like it. I want to just start completely clean of my new 500 GB. Please help!
    Hi James,
    1. What is the number of brand and model of the hard disk of 500 GB?
    2. How did the 500 GB hard drive connected to the computer? It is external or internal?
    To troubleshoot the unable to start the issue to cause corrupted driver, some files that can not be loaded during the startup process must be fixed or restored. So, let's check the disk by using the Windows Recovery Console.
    (a) put the Windows Vista installation disc in the disc drive, and then start the computer.
    (b) press a key when the message "Press any key to boot from CD or DVD ".
    (c) select a language, a time, a currency and a keyboard or another input method, and then click Next.
    (d) click on repair your computer.
    (e) (click on the operating system you want to repair), and then click Next.
    (f) in the System Recovery Options dialog box, click command prompt. Type chkdsk c:/f to try to correct the errors.
    (g) Note: answer them when chkdsk asks you if you want to check the disk next boot Vista
    (h) after the recording of the disc, and then run sfc/scannow to check the corruption of system files.
    Important: when running chkdsk on the drive hard if bad sectors are found on the disk hard when chkdsk attempts to repair this area if all available on which data may be lost.
    Check out TechNet help links and check if that helps:
    Just curious, it's someone else is seeing this with 2.10 and if you have, how solve you this problem?
    If you are using some kind of power management on the VDI? It seems as if the machine is unable to reach the HTTP Appvolumes service for any reason any newspaper which shows success connects withion a fraction of a second if the server doesn't seem to be to busy.
    Maybe you try to join an appstack that has some sort of firewall inside rule?
  • We went to MacOS Sierra of El Capitan and now have to log in twice, when we start the computer.
    We have upgraded to Mac OS Sierra of El Capitan, and now we have to log in twice, when we start the computer.
    How fix us this?
    Thank you...
    All the best...
    God bless...
    If you have activated the preferences-> Security-> FileVault system, then you must enter your password initially so that device drivers can decrypt your encrypted drive.  Once the system is running, you must then log into your account.
    They are really 2 separate activities that happen just to use the same password.
  • I tried several times to set up an email account with Thunderbird, but the next time I start the computer and start Thunderbird, no account is displayed.
    I bought a new desktop PC with Win 8.1 and installed Firefox and Thunderbird.
    Then, I tried to set up the e-mail account manually (in IMAP) following the instructions here: https://support-en.upc-cablecom.ch/app/answers/detail/a_id/22 , but can't set the mail server outgoing smtp correctly (I could receive mail but not send them). Subsequently, I deleted this account. Then, I started the automatic mail with UPC Cablecom under the http://www.upc-cablecom.ch/content/dam/www-upc-cablecom-ch/Support/executables/upc-cablecom-email-assistant.exe link tool and he did successfully set up the account, however, because a POP3 server account. As I was not happy with it, I deleted the server of incoming POP3 mail (and lost the e-mails received, of course...) and retried a manual installation. In doing so, I got an e-mail account IMAP incoming more two outgoing SMTP server (comparing them, I also understand the configuration error that I had done the first time). I then deleted the manual as SMTP server the automatically the installation server worked correctly.
    In this context, accepting them and sending E-mail worked OK. However, the next time I started the computer, the e-mail account disappeared and Thunderbird was asked to set up a new account again. I have successfully set up manually once more, but the same problem resurfaced at the next startup, the e-mail account was gone...!
    Thank you in advance for your help!
