  Windows Update exception code 0 x 00000641 / 0 x 80070641 usually indicates a problem with the Windows Installer service.

  Sometimes it's because of a difficulty to access; Sometimes, that means he is absent or inactive (disabled) for a reason any.

  3. start the Windows Update service

  Start button > | Control Panel > | System and Maintenance > | Administration tools

  Double-click on Services

  (Provide the administrator password or a confirmation if prompted to do so.)

  Right-click the Windows Update service and click Start.

  Note: this procedure will remove your history on the Windows Update Site. Not important.

  Reset

  See if the system can update now.
