  Use tools > reports > the menu heading Properies. If you use the Options button to deselect all options, you'll end up with exactly what you want. You can even export to TXT or RTF file.

• Adding keywords to a subject causes the search return the names of file instead of topic titles

  When I search for a term in my WebHelp Pro project, matching topics are displayed by filename if the subject has anything in its properties > General > keywords field, and are presented by topic title if there is no defined keywords for the subject.

  I confirmed this behavior by adding and deleting keywords from subjects and looking alternately to be shown in the search by file name or title of the topic.

  Obviously, I want stories to be displayed by topic titles in search results no matter whether they have keywords assigned or not.

  Any idea of what this could be the cause? Is this a known bug?

  Here is some additional information. This problem occurs, these four conditions must be met:

  1. The subject must have manually added keywords in properties > general > keywords field.
  2. The title of the topic and the name of the file must be different.
  3. We have to search among keywords added in step 1.
  4. Occurs in WebHelp Pro when published to a remote server.

  Interviews with Adobe today are not conclusive, but it seems that it was an unknown bug. Maybe I'll get a free t-shirt or something.

  Journal on Robohelp Configuration Manager.

  Uncheck the option "re-indexing of documents to the server.

  Republish and check. If the problem exists, try to restart the Apache/Tomcat server.

  This should work for you.

• Variables do not work with topic titles

  It seems to be a bug and the limitation of the variables in topic titles. Inserting into the table of contents works very well. The title of the topic in the table of contents is displayed correctly. However, if you do a search, all the subjects that contain a variable in the title appear incorrectly in the results - all text up to and including the variable are cut.
  
  You can not (as far as I can see) insert variable for topic titles using the RoboHelp interface. It is - unlike in the table of contents - you can not select Properties for a subject and insert a variable in the title of the topic (in the table of contents, it means the Page title). The way I put variables in my project (was an I upgraded x 5 to RH7) went through a search and replace operation for all the *.htm files. This included replacing the head HTML < title > < / title > entry. For example:
  
  Before: < title > what is a profile of Bill? < /title >
  After: < title > what is < uservariable name = value x Document_type1 x-showvalue = "invoice" > invoice < / uservariable > profile? < /title >
  
  When I search on this topic, the results of research is just profile? This problem applies to all topic titles that contain variables.
  
  It seems that the variables in the headings are not supported by RoboHelp, which is a major limitation of this feature. My project contains many variables in topic titles, which makes useless subject research, as the list of search results is composed mainly of incomprehensible securities and cut.
  
  Someone else has the same problem? Is there a solution?

  Yes, it is indeed a limitation of RoboHelp and the way it uses HTML:

  * The title of the topic that appears in the properties of the section and in the search results is stored in the HTML head

• Note in the topic titles when importing the problem in verbal form

  When I import a Word document into RHTML v6 I get underscores, replace the spaces in my titles of topic (I want underscores in file names). Changing the underscores in file names option has no effect.
  
  I remember this problem in RoboHelp X 5. Does anyone know a work around or if the same problem exists in Version 7?

  That contains a link to the patch you need. It is unfortunately temporarily unavailable! I'll see if I can get it also but that will not be until tomorrow at best.

• How do you get the bread crumbs to change when you change a topic title

  I use RoboHelp 9.0.2.271 and this happens when it is compiled as WebHelp and WebHelp pro. I changed some of the headings using the Properties dialog box. Bread always has the title of the old topic in it. I tried to turn off the crumbs of bread for the project, recompile and turning and recompiling but they are always the old titles. Any ideas?

  The name of bread crumbs from all that is in the table of contents, not the title of the topic. Change this and you will see the change you want.

  Oddly, if the topic is not in the table of contents and is accessible by a search, and then the title of the topic is what is displayed.

  If I create a new topic with No selected master page, the title of the topic that I type in the new topic dialog box would become the title of the topic in the new topic. Is good.

  If I create a new topic with the help of a master page, how to get the same result? What should I put in the master page as a variable or a placeholder so that the new title of the subject becomes the title of the topic?

  Please do not take into account. Answer is use Insert a field to insert the field title. I did not see this in the manual section RH9 on the Master Pages, but found elsewhere on the web.

• Long topic titles

  Uses RoboHelp X 5 to expand a file from WebHelp. At the request of the customer the section titles and the index entries should reflect the name of the various reports. The problem is the titles are long enough and users are required to expand the table of contents and Index to display the full text. Is there a way, the user can avoid expanding the respective components, I don't know if the following would work:
  
  Automatically extended the flaps: TOC pane when loading the help file, Index pane when the user clicks on the index tab.
  
  Insert a non-breaking space in the entries of title and topic index, so that the text appears on two lines.
  
  Other suggestions are welcome.

• Display the current Date on the topic title (TTITLE)

  I'm using sql * more to write a report. For the current date (and time if possible), I would like to be displayed in the title of my report (TTITLE.) It seems that I'm supposed to use a system variable called _DATE, but I don't know what to do.  I am under sql * more v.10.2.
  
  Here is my code. How can I include the current date to display in the side 'RIGHT' in the topic TTITLE?

  Well, to date, you could use predefined SQL * more variable _DATE of substitution:

  Unfortunately, it has not predefined SQL * more variable substitution for the moment. You will need to use a suggestion that Frank (or if you want the date in a different format).

• Topic titles

  I have a column called "Disconnection", with a big L. When I compile my project, this one topic in a section called "disconnection", with a tiny L. I changed the title of the topic and name of file in the properties of the subject; I also went in my computer and changed the file name. Yet whenever I compile, I wonder if I want to save the changes to \logout.htm.
  
  I know what is the cause, but I can't find a way to change this. Can anyone help with this?

  Known issue.

  If the string for the title and file name is identical, you cannot make them in different cases.

  So lower and Lower.htm works, but the bottom and lower.htm will not. Change the name of the second file to lower_anything.htm, and the string is no longer the same and it will work. Same lowercase and Lower_Case aren't the same string.

  Never change the names of files in Windows Explorer.

  I think that this could have been fixed in RH6, but it is broken in RH7.

• Cannot get rid of black underscore close header

  Whenever I saw a topic, or generate and visualize it, a _ or -(don't know who) appears at the top left of the subject, just below the header area.
  If I go down and leave a few lines when I'm formatting, additional _ appear. Its bothers me cause it is not visible when I am working on the subject, but its in all alone when I saw or generate.
  Anyone knows what is the cause?

  One of the answers Craigs worked... I do not use the WYSIWYG editor to move the topic title, only pressing on enter created underscore.
  I edited the map style and spacing before the higher title theme style, and doing it this way makes underscore disappear.

• Impossible to display the names of HTML files in the HTML Files (topics) folder in the project manager

  RH8, I want to see the names of the HTML files instead of topic titles in the project manager.  I chose the button toggle project manager and the name of the folder is passed to "HTML Files (topics)" of "Project Files".  However, the folder of files HTML (topics) lists topics with subject titles, rather than the names of HTM files.  I was expecting to see the topic list in the Manager component of project with HTM file names.

  What should I do to display topics by names of HTM files in project manager?  The rocker is not working properly, or I do not understand what the toggle button?

  This occurs for each project, we have - all of which have been improved from RoboHelp X 5 to RH8.

• Destination of the hyperlink (file or URL) is sometimes title and sometimes the name of file

  I have a project.  When I add/edit hyperlinks on my desktop computer, I see the files available in the project as their file names.  When I open the same project on my laptop, I see the files available by their topic titles.  I prefer the title of the topic, but I can't understand what the setting is switch between them.
