  Your timeline has rectangular pixels, jpeg file has square pixels.

  Hello. I'm looking to automate a recurring process that takes a lot of time. I'm used to automate actions in Photoshop, but I have not had much experience with the version of Illustrator.

I thought that I could use automate this with Illustrator vectorize the image, and then use the Eyedropper to capture the color of each pixel on the image area and then paint this color in the corresponding square on the grid. (To do this effectively, I would probably export action and duplicate this segment in the code in a text editor, by adjusting the details of this and that precisely.) The problem is that the eyedropper does not seem to be an action

  There is nothing in flash that allows you to process the pixels.  but there in the pixelbender.  I don't know if creating a filter in pb would help you but it is your only hope to make an adjustment in flash, thin, although it is.

  Photos does not increase the size of the pixels when exporting.  You get just the size of maximum pixels is your photo.

  Looks like you are doing things the hard way.  Instead, I suggest using IMAQ LinearAverages rather at the entrance of the rectangle in option.  This will give you the average of each column, which is just the total divided by the number of pixels.  You can then use the Min search the index of the smallest value table.
