What is the best way to edit the pixels of the layer without applying the image?

Help, please!?

What is the best way to change the pixels on a new layer (clone, healing, patch or selection) without applying the image? When I do that, I can't change the under layer if I make a mistake.

Does this make any sense!

You want to use the patch tool to put the fix on its own layer? Use sample all layers in the Options bar.

  • Best way to edit a JPG file in Photoshop while minimizing loss of quality?

I want to change a lot of pictures of the camera (captured in JPG format) to correct (and sometimes framing and other) exposure issues, but want to reduce to a minimum of loss of quality when I re - save the file. It is preferable to open each image in Camera Raw, make the adjustments, then use 'Save the Image' of the screen of Camera Raw to save my changes? I noticed that this results in a smaller file than the original (for example 1.95 Mb vs 3.75 MB), but wanted to make sure I was using the optimal method for opening/editing/backup to avoid losing too much image quality.

I think that if you open a Jpg file in camera raw and that through bridge, just the metadata are saved, the image is not recompressed. So what would be the best way to make changes

  • Best way to edit on a white background and a transparent gif

I have a picture that I bought, but need to make a gif. He already has a white background, but when I use the magic wand he has chopped bits of the edge of the image.

Is there an easier way of white out of this editing context and make a transparent gif?

    I use Adobe Photoshop CS2

Image is attached to take a peek.

Thanks, I appreciate help with this.

Set the magic wand tool to have a tolerance of 0 and contiguous selected and click on the background. Is it as pure white then it should select it, if not then click some more or increase the tolerance value a little bit.

  • What is the image size always optimal for use in Premiere Pro?

I'm pretty new to Premiere Pro so please excuse any extreme stupidity.

I make a movie composed of various interview with. I intend to drop in stills (and possibly scanner and pan around on them). Still images come from various sources and will have been filmed on different formats.

I asked images high resolution, but asked what size I want the images she mm. Can someone advise?

The film will be shown on Vimeo and on a Web site, but it is also more extensive for projection high definition if necessary.  The movie is HD 1080 x 1920

    Any advice greatly appreciated.
    Thank you

Make sure that the person who provides still images is measured in PIXELS. Not MM, inch, DPI - but PIXELS no no. No other video issues.

Your 'canvas' in first 1920 x 1080 (HD 1080) pixels, it's the size minimum everything should always be to fill the frame without having to to scale upward (loss of quality). Of course, if the image is portrait style, then it will NOT fill the frame, but rather will be black on the sides, bottom replacement or as others have suggested. In this case, make sure the height is at least 1080 (width will be narrower than 1920).

You said you want to crop, like Ken Burns, so then you would like images greater than 1920 x 1080, such as the 3456 x 2304 proposed. Allows you to zoom in to a certain extent using pixels available in the image without actually upscaling the image at all. The more you want to zoom in, pixels more than you need to achieve this without degrading the quality of "blow up" the image.

    Good luck

I use Photoshop CS6. I have a CMYK image of fruit on a white background with a shadow that has some cyan, magenta and yellow. The shadow is NOT AN EFFECT. • What is the best way to edit existing Flash galleries so that they can be viewed on an iPad?

Any help/suggestions or experiences would be welcome!

iOS does not support Flash.  You must replace Flash with jQuery, Spry and Ajax which has wide support in all devices.

Login to Adobe Exchange with your browser Widget

Take one of the jQuery or Ajax slideshow widgets:

  • What makes the image stick to one element of a film zoom

    Hi all

I'm just getting started with Adobe After Effects and have met a big challenge for me now.

I have a very short film http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SqG6yLnzBR8 & feature = youtu.be and a small thermostat on the wall.

The thermostat becomes bigger and bigger, at the same time circling. My task is to add a logo of company at the bottom of the thermostat.

Of course the logo must stick to this thermostat and the circle with it so that nobody notices that its a layer applied.

Is it possible to achieve this with 3d without the camera approach mode motion tracker? Only in mode "Track Motion"?

"P.S. mode camera approach is not available because I get analysis resolve failure screen when I try to start the function of" trail camera.

It's really frustrating, I tried to convert avi to any other format without result ;/

Thank you for any piece of advice.

There not enough detail in this one for camera tracking and is not what you want anyway. Inside of AE the way to achieve this is to start at the end, turn on tracing, select corners of follow-up, and follow back until the track fails that the thermostat is reduced. You will have an image full screen transparent which has the logo of the company exactly in the right place. You apply the corners followed by the logo and it will not break in the right place.  As the camera pulls back and the track becomes unstable fix you a point in the layer and use transparency keyframes to reveal the logo.

What should be done is a texture applied to surface of th the thermostat inside the 3D application that was used to create the shot.

I made a compact home page to hard code, but I need to be able to change items separated in the DIVs. It is difficult to use design mode to edit these areas. Is there a better way to do so in addition to using the code? Webmaster of my school cannot write code (* sigh *).

    I found a solution.

Click the border of the DIV.

I would greatly appreciate your advice.

Use the align palette and define an object as a key object. Choose align to: and that is defined on the object key (if not already set)

    1. Select a group
    2. Shift click to add the next group to the selection
    3. then click on a group to set this as a key object (the sketch will turn into a "BOLD" since CS4 to mean is a key object)
    4. Choose alignment in the Align Panel

A cheap goal, preferably the "kit" lens supplied with your camera. Many self-styled counselors, most of them well-meaning and some of them, the regulars of this group, will tell you to buy the best lens you can afford; the lens is what makes the image; you make an investment in the future; etc. ; etc. Don't listen to them. Once you are no longer a beginner, you will have a better idea of the direction you want to go, and you can use the money you save now to buy a goal of better quality (and perhaps more appropriate) then. And when ask you for advice, you'll have better recognition of that made sense and who is just sitting there and let her fingers wander on the keyboard.
