  Every time I open a file attached which little elongated box appears at the bottom of the page. I intend to active the option to SAVE or SAVE AS, while the third option OPEN or OPEN and SAVE, ONLY shows up in the list, but not filled not so that I can choose one of these other two.

  You mentioned a plugin you may be missing, and that was my first thought when I started to read your response.  You use the most recent version of the Adobe Reader software to read PDF files?  Normally with the standard installation of Adobe, PDF files will open seamlessly in the Web page that you use, prompting even for a download.

  I go to www.adobe.com/reader and install again (be careful to not install any extra junk that it comes with when he asks) and then see if it works better.

  Try the following: open Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, go to preferences in Acrobat Reader DC

  • under Documents, change "Show the documents in PDF/A mode" Never
  • under the (enhanced) protection, clear protected at Startup Mode

  Now, try to print.

  Hi I have a number of links to PDF files on my blog WordPress.com (www.creationtonewcreation.com) homepage. These were created in Adobe Acrobat 5, with applied security that allows viewing and printing. They open fine on my laptop (e.g. with Google Chrome), but trying to open my mobile Android (Samsung Note 3 - a standard design) with Acrobat Reader is installed, an error message appears "the document cannot be opened because it is not a valid PDF document. This is a valid PDF file as it was created with 5 Adobe itself. Do you know what could be the problem?  I downloaded another PDF (not sure what this was created with) on my other site WordPress.com and it downloads fine, WordPress.com is not the problem itself.  Thanks a lot for any advice that anyone can give.  Rob

  I seem to have solved the problem. I have reinstalled the DC Adobe on my Android, deleted the defaults on Adobe DC and for some reason it works now.  Sorry for disturbing you on this subject, but I don't have the solution.  Thank you, Rob

• Solution to improve performance (to increase speed) when opening PDF files with large 3d model?

  I insert a large .u3d model of construction in PDF file (more), very slow when opening it (more than 30 minutes). Is it possible to improve it during the creation of the PDF file? It is acceptable to reduce the precision of the model shape/color/texture when inserting in the PDF. I think that my hardware is OK, THINKPAD 520 with 8G of RAM. It's urgent for me. For solutions or clues, please let me know.

  No direct experience of Okino but you won't find many people who say that their PolyTrans is a powerful tool. However, I have tested all other applications that I mentioned in my previous answer by a remark: If you aim to simplify the mesh, they are all extremely complex. Perhaps, the only suitable for the layman is Rhino rhinoceros - downloads; it provides an export utility where users can select several options to reduce the number of nodes. Also look at the script environment: I could quite easily find a way to generate scripts in Blender and MeshLab to process a batch of files without the GUI, but I didn't do it with Rhino, but I see it has script capabilities Rhinoceros - overview and Developer: rhinoscript [McNeel Wiki]

  Hi - I get an error when opening a PDF file that is downloaded from an interactive report.
  I saw on the forum that it could be linked to the size of the file, but I tried
  this out on 10-line results (1 k files) and it's always a problem.
  
  I save the file to my file system. If I try to open it in Adobe Reader, I get:
  
  File does not begin with '% PDF -'
  
  and
  
  Adobe Reader could not open < Filename > .pdf because it is not supported
  type of file, either because the file has been damaged (for example, he was sent as an email
  attachment and has not been correctly decoded).
  
  If I try to open in Internet Explorer, I get:
  
  File does not begin with '% PDF -'
  
  Other users have experienced the same problem. Download in csv format and open in Excel work very well.
  
  Do I need to have a special print attributes for this? I don't think... I'm just using the default values

  When I download a file, (try to download net framework) it goes into my downloads.  When I go to my downloads to open I get a box asking me what I want to open it with.  I never got that before on my other computers.  Download just opened.  Don't know how to get around this problem.

  Open Windows Explorer and navigate to C:\Windows\system32.  Find notepad.exe (you can not see the exe ' ' at the end) and double click it.  Notepad opens or you we the same error message?

  You are right. Another application cannot read all the files in another tray applications sand. For that to work, the only way is to move to the shared directory.

  .7z is a compressed file that can be opened in an extraction software. If you are using a windows machine, you can use the software Winrar, Winzip or 7z to extract the .7z file.

  I'm still very much a newbie with Flash, AS3 and programming in general. Despite this, I managed to work through most of the problems with the Flash site that I am developing.

  A hitch that I still have is related to the PDF download with FileReference download option.

  The script I use revealed the Windows Save dialog, but what I really lack, is the dialog box that gives the ability to save or open the file.

  The code I am using is as follows,

  use navigateToURL will cause the pdf to open it in the browser IF the user has a reader of pdf browser plugin.  otherwise, the user will download the pdf file and, if the option open is give and selected, the default operating system program (when it exists) will open the pdf file.

  If the user (for example, me) don't have acrobat reader, there is nothing you can do to cause a pdf to open it in acrobat.

  You cannot save a form and the data to the reader unless it has been activated with the rights of the player. It is an extra step. You don't need to save the form to submit data. In the designer, the data is sent in XML format. In Acrobat forms, submit the data in FDF format of XFDF, XML or HTML. XML and FDF can be imported into the form so you can see what the user saw when the form has been sent. If you enable the rights of the player, you can probably run within the limits set in the license agreement. Read the EULA, section 15, before you go off and know you might violate the license.

  I guess that your presentation is by e-mail the way it sounds. Know who has many problems and is not a reliable method for the submission of the form. If you make forms for a company, you probably wouldn't turn on the rights of the reader and want to submit data to a web script to avoid email problems - otherwise you could check customers and sink them.

  Right click on the downloaded file, choose "Open with" and choose the program proper.  She'll use the icon of the program you select.

  If windows, clean it by Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat tool - Adobe Labs

  Reinstall the correct version for which you are authorized to use another browser.
