Unilingual 8.1 Windows

I have a new Pavilion with Windows 8.1 23 unilingual.  Is there a way I can load an English version?  I live in the Mexico but the fight with the Spanish.

Here's the translation:

(Ingles) English

(Idioma para Windows show.) Windows display language.

(Not available in esta edición Windows.) Not available in this edition of Windows.

I used Google translation to get the answer.

Thus, it seems that you might have to purchase a full version of Windows.  You can contact Microsoft to see if they have better news for you.

  • Windows 8 become unilingual edition after restoration by the service of Lenovo.

    Hi all

In recent weeks, I had problems with my new contact U310 (bought in March 2013). 8 corrupt wins after the upgrade. The machine will not start and he stuck in endless reboot loop. (need windows check and find the error, etc. in the blue screen). A function of key recovery (Lenovo) to return the device to the factory settings also did not help.
So I send to the service of Lenovo. They helped to install the new OS to the other image supported by Lenovo. The machine worked well, but I realize that windows now become unilingual edition.
Can someone tell me how the different language than the original version? How to revert to the original Windows 8?
I know, serial number for wins 8 integrated in the BIOS. I can check and discovers these S/N now, but wonder if they are for editing single language, edition, or both? How can I use these S/N to return to the original 8 wins provided with my computer?
    Greatly appreciate your help!

  • Where can I download Windows 8 unilingual and find product key when it is preinstalled on a Dell Inspiron 15R laptop computer?

I bought a laptop Dell with Windows 8 pre installed language. There is no sticker on the laptop product key, so I don't have access to the product key. Does anyone know where to find the product key, I want to do a clean install and get rid of all the crapware? and how do I download Windows 8 single language?

With Windows 8, Microsoft changed stickers that have the product key that the user must type in during the installation of the operating system of new embedded BIOS product key. The idea is that by eliminating the tile, you eliminate one of the easiest ways for nefarious users get a legitimate product key. The sticker also eliminating product key removes any concern that the vignette could get damaged while at the same time eliminating the long and irritating the process of typing in various letters and numbers in the installation of the operating system.

If the user has to reinstall the operating system on a computer with Windows 8, the installation process automatically captures key software product of the motherboard BIOS without input from the user. This means that these stickers familiar windows product key will no longer appear on Windows 8 computers.

How to reinstall Windows 8 on your Dell computer.

If you want to reinstall Windows 8, which means remove applications and personal files and settings, you can use the reset and refresh. This is equivalent to a clean install.

To do this, follow these steps:

    · Press the Windows key + i on your keyboard to show the charms (if you use a touch screen: touch the right edge of your screen and drag your finger to the left)

    · Click settings

    · Click change PC settings

    · Click general in the left column

    · In virtue remove all and reinstall Windows, click Start

Then follow instructions that will be provided on the screen to reinstall Windows on your PC.

  • Windows 8 people's Republic of CHINA (unilingual OEM version in simplified Chinese) can be upgraded to Windows 8 Pro * full * English?

I bought a Dell XPS One 2710 in China that came pre-installed with Windows 8 RPC. It seems that it is a unique language locked in simplified Chinese version.

The standard procedure to add another language changes only partially certain interfaces of applications in English, but the operating system is always in Chinese.

    I think so

1 - is the upgrade to Windows 8 Pro with Windows 8 Pro Pack as described here http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-8/feature-packs

2 - or buy a Windows 8 Pro System Builder and just reinstall

Solution 1 is my favorite option, I want to keep the existing configuration and the Dell applications.

Does anyone have experience making 1 or 2?

    Thank you.

You should upgrade to Windows 8 Pro in Chinese, then you can download the English Language Pack for free:

To the top of Windows 8 for Windows 8 Pro:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-8/feature-packs

Language packs are available for Windows 8 and for Windows RT

Thank you Andre, everything is now in English!

For all the foreigners living in China who want to have Windows 8 English I highly recommend to do as described below. It will add the cost of a license of Windows 8 Pro Pack, but will save you hours of waiting, of discussions, resettlement and uncertainty.

Windows 8 CPP that comes pre-installed on all computers OEM in China is locked with simplified Chinese only to the language of the OS.

You can buy Windows 8 Pro Pack, which upgrades the CPP of 8 Windows preinstalled on your new computer to a full-blown Windows 8 Pro with Media Center

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-8/feature-packs

Pack Windows 8 Pro can be purchased online from China, and you can pay with Paypal

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-8/terms-conditions-feature-packs

Windows 8 Pro has all the features to download and add language packs.

Start the upgrade using the following screenshots

    http://winsupersite.com/Windows-8/Windows-8-release-preview-add-features-Windows-8

You will need an address in China and turn off your VPN before you start the upgrade.

There is only one choice of product to buy the Windows 8 Pro Pack.

The update took a few hours of downloading so start at night and sleep at home.

After the upgrade you have Windows 8 Pro with Media Center always configured with Chinese as their main language.

You need then download and install the English language according to these screenshots pack

    http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/5850-language-pack-install-uninstall-Windows-8-a.html

The US English language pack is 154 MB and may take a few hours to download as well.

Restart, then return to the screen of language making English as your primary language, as described in these screenshots

    http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/5853-display-language-change-Windows-8-a.html

    Reboot again, and voila!

PS: after upgrading your Windows 8 Pro is activated automatically with the new product ID, but you haven't lost all common applications of OEM and warranty (Dell in my case).

You always connect to the app store Windows of China and are able to install apps * except * those made specifically by the OEM. In my case, there are only a few and I can't install Renren for Dell for example, but there is also another version not OEM in the app store.

This limitation is explicitly mentioned in the notes here, and I confirm.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-8/feature-packs

OEM applications that I have installed upgrading are still there and working, then you might want to install everything before the upgrade.

  • Pavilion 15 p-018tu: laptop HP with windows 10 stop problem

My HP laptop is Pavilion 15 p-018tu with windows pre-installed 8.1 unilingual. I've updated to windows 10 about a month ago. Now, my laptop is not properly blocking down. The screen goes black but the power button light turns on for a long time and it lights never out. Whenever I had to press and hold the power button to stop it. I found on the internet that downgraded to management engine intel version 9.5 will work, but my engine management intel is version 9.5. Now what to do? Is there a permanent solution?

    Hello

Thanks for posting in the HP Support forum. Welcome!

I just checked and I see that your computer (this model) does not officially support Windows 10, meaning never officially exit HP Win 10 drivers for this device. http://support.HP.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-15-notebook-PC-series/5355006/model/5393349

It is made in the implementation and tested with Windows 7 or 8/8.1.

I recommend that return you to Windows 8.1 (your previous version of Win) in order to solve this problem and to have a fully supported features.

If you upgraded to Win 10 less than a month ago, you can use the built-in options to return to the old version of Windows, as explained here > > http://www.howtogeek.com/220723/how-to-uninstall-windows-10-and-downgrade-to-windows-7-or-8.1/

If you upgraded to Win 10 more than a month ago, you will need to perform a system recovery to factory default state HP recovery. More information:

    > > http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04758961#AbT9 and

Windows 8.1 is the right operating system and will be well supported by Microsoft until 2023.

Before making a drop of ratings, please backup your important files on an external device to cover yourself / your information / against potential incidents.

  • Many problems after upgrade to 8.1 Windows

I just upgraded my HP Pavilion g6 computer 2301AX laptop with Windows 8.1 unilingual. After that, I am confronted with these problems:

    1. the fan continues to run like hell, even in an inactive state.

    2. laptop got sluggish.

    3. F12 key was still on white despite Airplane mode is active or inactive (WiFi and Bluetooth are working very well and are consistent with the airplane mode).

    Help!

have you downloaded the driver from the authentic website (AMD or whatever your brand of graphics card)?

  • R050sa flow 11: Activation fails after a clean install on laptop pre-installed Windows 10

I just bought a HP notebook 11 r050sa stream with Windows preinstalled Home 10, but could not start when it opened its doors to the top (circle kept spinning turn for hours).

As I was intending to do a clean install anyway, to remove any HP bloatware, I decided to delete all partitions and perform a new installation from a USB key using the official Microsoft Media creation tool for Windows 10 Home https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows10.

Installation went well but the activation failed indicating that I have "do not have a digital right.

How is this possible, since the PC came with Windows preinstalled 10? How can I get my license back?

There was a surprising new twist in this question, should I report it here in case someone else is in the same situation.

When I received the activation failed I reported to my original request, I had done the installation using the edition entitled 'Windows 10 unilingual homepage' (see figure below), which seemed to me the only option if I wanted to install "Windows 10 home" which is preinstalled on my laptop.

Yesterday I did a last attempt at creating USB installation after selecting 'Windows 10' (see figure below). Yet once, I removed all partitions on disk and performed a completely clean install on my HP notebook 11 r050sa flow.

The result is that, in the end installation smoothly, I found my computer with installed "Windows 10 Home" and fully active, without the need to insert an activation key of windows, with all the drivers installed automatically by Windows and without any HP bloatware!

I'm puzzled by the outcome, but happy...

I did the installation with Legacy BIOS without UEFI.

    Product: HP Pavilion n208TX 15

    Hello Gshankar,

Based on the laptop you have and what is different. I have some recommendations for you.

First of all that your laptop is a commercial product, I would recommend see what more people on our business forms: laptop - HP ProBook, EliteBook, Compaq, slate/Tablet PC, Armada, LTE, suggest for you. As they have the knowledge and experience with your laptop, the question might be different in this regard.

Second, you might try to contact the helpline and investigate with them. This could mean that ultimately something which cannot be by them. Technical support of HP, 1-800-474-6836 in North America. For all other regions click here.

Thirdly, is in contact with Microsoft. If this was supposed to be the free update and your getting this message, that they are able to explain why. In general, you should not, any edition of Windows 8 should upgrade to this same edition of 8.1 without this issue.

    I hope this helps you.
Thanks for posting on the HP Forums.

  • Unable to install printer, can not find the folder c:\windows\system32\drivers can anyone help im new to computers. Thank you

nothing other than follow install wizard interrupted because usbprint.sys msg

All of the C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers folder is missing?  If this is the case, I don't know how your system boots.  Otherwise, look for usbprint.sys in C:\WINDOWS\system32\ServicePackFiles\i386 if you are running an Intel-based system.  Look in \amd64 so it's an AMD based system.  You can also find it in C:\WINDOWS\system32\dllcache.

The easiest way is to copy (but you will have to do it in safe mode).

The best way is to use the System File Checker (SFC) by using the "sfc/scannow" command from the run (start-R) menu.  Note that this requires that you have your Windows XP installation CD and the CD for your current Service Pack level.  Note that you might have trouble with the Service Pack CD-ROM will be accepted.  Read KB900910 if this is the case (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/900910 ).  This procedure should work for Service Pack 3, too.  (I think that the biggest problem with the CD of Service Pack incompatibility is that Windows Update installs a multi-language version, while most of the CD are unilingual and therefore have different product IDS.)
