  Reset.

  Check that the A9 and assorted pieces is really gone.

  Try to install ADC.  If it works, the installation of the license.

  Another tool that I had a lot of success in cleaning after installs wandering and apps is Priform CCLEANER - CCleaner - optimization of the PC and cleaning - Free Download .  Use at your own risk, but as I said - I had a lot of luck with it.

  I had problems with update to Acrobat dc. I was told that I should uninstall and reinstall. When I try to uninstall Acrobat Creative Cloud it stalls at 2% and then trys to update (which fails). Then I tried to uninstall it via Acrobat Uninstaller. Under Acrobat Uninstaller, it begins to remove the files and then ask me a username and password, accept and then cancels the uninstall. Via the menu 'Details', I found that a file with the name of 'RdrCEF.exe' used about 8% of the time processor and had monopolized an extraordinary amount of memory. I note the figure, but it may have been something like 2 GB, certainly much more data than any other process listed in the Task Manager.

  I used the "Search online" feature to discover this "RdrCEF.exe" has something to do with Acrobat Reader DC and search results of online discussions said that claims he had problems with malware, something to do with sending data to Amazon or something.

  Online research identified the location of the "RdrCEF.exe" and I was able to track down to this folder -

  C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Acrobat Reader DC\Reader\AcroCEF

  At this point, I started to get a bad feeling Acrobat Reader DC and decided to uninstall.

  Make sure you have the serial key & CD of Acrobat 8 Standard before installing it.

  Also be sure to turn off before you uninstall (Acrobat Help menu-> disable/Sign Out)
