Uninstall programs and features
I plan to UNINSTALL the following under PROGRAMS & FEATURES to IMPROVE SPEED & PERFORMANCE (even if the 320 GB HARD drive space is free) for loading FASTER B & W long movies on You Tube, etc., which are currently in me as long as 15-20 minutes (I don't have to send feedbacks and the indication is RARELY USED; I don't really need the function of CHECKING SPELLING; I NEVER DOWNLOADED anything online, or if I'm currently interested to this end; I know not casual that Orion is subject, but I used it "rarely" (but I'll reconsider it); I don't want to save anything on this particular PC (my gmail and yahoo are sufficient for now a few notes & reminders or documents); do not use the WebCam; (to double-check Acer eRecovery before uninstall); most of the SEVEN 7 Acer pre INSTALLED I can uninstall with caution).
Hello
Follow these methods and check if that helps:
Method 1:
If you want to improve the performance of the computer, I suggest to run the troubleshooter of Performance and check if it helps:
Open the troubleshooter of Performance

Method 2:
Also offers to optimize Windows 7 for better performance and check if it helps.
Optimize Windows 7 for better performance
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/optimize-Windows-7-for-better-performance
Method 3:
And on the programs that you can safely uninstall are:
(a) feedback by Microsoft tool
(b) spelling dictionaries Support of Adobe Reader 9
(c) Orion, by Convesoft. I looked and it is described as:
"The PC Decrapifier is a program designed to remove or uninstall a specific list unwanted software in an unattended mode. It can be used to remove most of the annoying software are usually supplied with recent PC. »
(d) NTI Media Maker 8 (this program allows you to save data, Blu - ray, audio, photos and video on CD and DVD.)
I wouldn't say DRIVER you to uninstall Windows Live Upload Tool, utilities Acer and Intel (r) Graphics Media Accelerator of Intel Corp.

CS6 problem Uninstalling - does not appear on "programs and features".
.. or any other program uninstaller.
I could have tried remove manually, but the trial version installed clean - I could never use CS6.
I tried to uninstall programs and features, he said something along the lines of "sorry, we can not uninstall, but you want to remove this program from the list?" and I clicked Yes.
So now, I can not install Photoshop CS6 on my PC (windows 7 x 64) which is quite boring and sad for me.
There seems to be no solution to my problem, no uninstall program shows CS6 on its list, there are uninstall in program folder either.
It seems that I have scattered pieces of Photoshop all over my Pc and now I can't install it again (ever).
I don't know if deleting the files from registry would do, and even then, I don't know how.
I would be grateful if someone could help it, there seems to be other people with the same problem.

No option to uninstall a program under programs and features in VIsta
I went to "program and features" and stored in a list are the programs on my computer. When I clicked on several programs to uninstall, the program appeared in the shade of blue, but I never had the opportunity to repair, uninstall, or update. Click right and left did nothing. What should I do to get the three options on my screen?
Thank you

I do not play games on my computer. I uninstalled 'My HP Games' (32 items) via the control panel. However, there are 11 items that appear in the games through "All programs", but are not displayed by the intermediary of "Control Panel / programs and features. There is also a link to eBay.com, in "All programs" that I would like to delete.
How to uninstall these components?
Hi @jarhtmd,
Thank you for your response.
The sample you provided it seems there are some games that you should be able to uninstall in Add Remove programs.
For example, 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Chess'. When you look in the programs listed do you see "Microsoft Games\Chess, if so you should be able to uninstall." It would be listed under Microsoft Games / and the name of the game.
As some of the Microsoft games that came with the Windows installation you can not have an option to uninstall them.
Those ending with "lnk" is just links. Try right click and delete.
Good luck!

He says that there is a file that is 4 KB, which makes my computer think it is always installed, but I don't know what the file is to delete for me to reinstall the game itself. Any advice on how to fix this? I have Windows Vista 64 bit

Uninstalled program is still listed under "programs and features".
Original title: a program is listed in programs and features. It was uninstalled and deleted directories. Yet, it still shows in the list programs and features. How can I remove it?
I had installed this program before. I thought I had uninstalled. I tried to re-install this program, but cannot. I checked the list of programs, and it is still in the list, after being uninstalled. How do I remove it from the list?
Hi n4ctf,
Take a look at this link http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314481
Edit the registry to remove an entry. This link refers to Windows XP but I checked with Windows 7 and it works so it should work with Vista.
Once you have access to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall you will see a list of numbers. You will need to go through each of these numbered editions to find the program you want to remove. Click on a number in the left column, for example {08D605B4-DCD1-451F-ABD7-52E6BB868E4E} and you will see then the details is in the right column of the registry editor. See the 'full name' so check to see what the numbers program refers to.
Normally, I would recommend that you try to reinstall the application rather that tinkering with the registry, but as you have already tried unsuccessfully to re - install, change the registry could be the last option. By the way, before making any changes in the registry, make sure that you back up the registry first. This link of my website will show you how to back up the registry:http://vistasupport.mvps.org/backup_the_registry.htm
