  I installed 6.4 and it froze on me as the creators of post experience. I posted a thread, but no response.

  Above, I have a laptop of Sony vpcf1390x. My problem is after that I installed the preview of Windows 8 consumer. I know that sony is not recommended to install anything yourself and only sony can install operating systems, although I paid $ 1700, and they are not so evil do with my pc I like thank you! in any case after having run 'click care' with the LATEST version of Vaio Care all my windows apps 8 no longer works, it cuz vaio care does not recognize windows 8 and deleted all files from registry somehow. So I tried the "Cancel" option, but surprise, surprise, it failed and could not roll back. So I had to "Refresh" and it uninstalled my programs even if it only says "your apps" will be uninstalled, giving the false impression that only metro windows applications 8 would be deleted: so, instead configuration settings spent the years of my life and install programs has been removed in minuets. just pay attention to anyone with a vaio, windows8 and uses vaio care! VAIO care is bad just get winoptimizer its only 13 dollars and windows 8 still works after cleaning registrry!

  up to now, sony programs have no support for this new software, all software can works on some diferent way that they are programmed, as you know windows 8 has been created for a day's work with the tablets, so his way of working is almost completely different from the other operating system, so in this case, I recommed format you your system again and try not to use programs that can cause damage on your VAIO.

• Impossible to install the Version of update on Vaio Care 8.4.1 07026

  I recently upgraded from win 8 to 8.1 Win.  I have a Sony Vaio, model # SVT15112CXS.  My Windows updates are up to date, all my apps are also updated and all my Vaio updates are underway except the one that does not install.  The Vaio Care Update Version 8.4.1 07026.  It passes through the download process, then it displays the window where there is extraction "Sony Packaging Manager", shows that it is preparing to install, so he says it configures Vaio Care, then it collects the required information, he goes on to say that he is about to remove the old version of the application, then, he says he removes the old version.  It stops after that and then gets listed under the box that says "update of programs that failed to install.  It does not give a reason.

  I use Windows Defender and I even added Vaio Care to the list of excluded files.  When I called Sony tech said that my computer is no longer under warranty, I would have to pay $100 to fix.  Does anyone have solutions or ideas as to what is happening?  Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

  Have you tried reinstalling your VAIO Care program and get the latest update from eSupport? Uninstall your current program of VAIO Care, download the originally shipped version of VAIO Care to eSupport (ver. 8.1.0.10120) and once that it re-installed, try to update to 8.4.1.07026. • No way to disable startup Vaio Care

  Hello. I have a problem with my laptop Vaio - startup takes about 5 minutes until all programs properly loading. I would turn off start Vaio Care, so I looked up this community site. The decision proposed by many members is to disable via the Task Scheduler in Windows 7. The problem is that when I open the Task Scheduler, I do not see Vaio Care inside, so obviously that I can't turn it off. Right now I don't know about any other way of disabling Vaio Care, so I want to get help here.

  Try to check under Services startup type.

  1) click Start

  (2) click on run

  (3) type "Services.msc".

  (4) press on enter

  5) scroll down and look for performance of Vaio Care service

  (6) on the general tab, you can check the status of the service if its started or stopped. You will have an option to stop the service on this tab.

  7 in the drop-down list startup type. It will give you list drop-down option automatic, manual and disabled.

  VAIO VPCCW21FX vaio update version 5 but does not update.
  The control panel and remove the vaio update installed at new, but does not.

  Many users have had problems with these programs. There are a lot of posts in this section relating to similar issues that you are experiencing currently. I take some time and look at some of the problems/solutions that others have tried. You may receive a "generic" to one of the moderators answer to "(appelez le support technique, réinstaller, faire une restauration complète de votre système, etc.)." I assure you that many users have tried everything above with little or no chance.

  May we are waiting for a patch or upgrade to the software to solve the current problems.

• NEW Vaio Care Software Update (6.4.0.15030)

  FYI... just noticed that there is an update of the VAIO Care software on the site eSupport for my laptop model. The update date 29/03/2011 and the version # is 6.4.0.15030. It is said in the release notes that it is supposed to contain a fix for the problems download Self Heal and Patch a lot of posters have had problems with. Hope it works.

  Now just waiting for Sony to issue an update/fix to the Vaio Update software!

  Thanks for your reply... In fact, we found the resolution. The VAIO Care version has 6. We went in the VAIO care and deleted folder logs in the Logs folder and it worked, it works with all versions of VAIO care.

  I get the same error, but I have corrected the error by removing the vaio care app in the store windows. I just keep vaio care applicaton that was installed in the office.
